Hi my goods arrived and I couldn’t scan labels. They are placed over bag fold and crumpled. I’d post a picture but it won’t allow. Real shame for first order.

Our labels should be clearly positioned and easy to scan so you can access the cooking instructions without any difficulty. We completely understand how frustrating it must have been to receive them folded and crumpled.

If it’s on your ‘one day I’ll try’ list, make that day now
After having Planthood as a vague thing I’d buy ‘one day’, my partner and I finally got on with it and I am utterly blown away by every single meal every single time. Despite being a vegan for close to a decade I’m very much on the beige side of the spectrum and this has introduced so many new dishes that are always so full of variation, depth and flavour. Each time we say ‘that was a ten out of ten’ and remind ourselves about meals we’ve eaten out that haven’t come close. For the cost it’s actually proven to be so much cheaper than eating out but then getting better in the process. I simply cannot recommend highly enough. The sensory experience of each meal is such a highlight of the week for us both. Long may this company keep going and keep thriving 💚

I’m really loving my Planthood meals
I’m really loving my Planthood meals . They’re healthy, tasty and quick and easy to prepare . I particularly like the chef prepared sauces , restaurant quality food in my own kitchen ready in a matter of minutes.
Nutritional values and ingredients are listed for each dish . Ordering is super easy and delivery excellent . Everything is carefully packaged and environmentally friendly.
Customer service is exemplary , got an immediate friendly and helpful response to a query about menu choice . Super impressed . This is clearly a business that cares passionately about its product . Great food made by great people .

We’ve been enjoying Planthood for…
We’ve been enjoying Planthood for nearly a year now. The meals are consistently delicious, and maybe there is 1/20 that doesn’t satisfy portion or taste wise, but generally it’s like enjoying a high quality meal from a restaurant. It takes away any desire to order an unhealthy, expensive takeaway, knowing that you have a Planthood in the fridge. Customer service has been very good, when it’s been necessary to contact them. Recently our weekly package was damaged in transit and not delivered (first time occurrence) and although it was refunded immediately, I think contingency really must be made to either re-deliver or delivery again on the next shipment day so one is not left without meals they rely upon for the entire week. Hats off to the chefs, and to the couple behind this amazing vegan business. Please NEVER change or sell out. Thank you!

I have used Planthood 2x
I have used Planthood 2x. The food is lovely. However I have had problems and they do not speak to you. Everything is done via email or their contact form (I was 100% unable to send my messages as the way I typed in my phone number wasn't acceptable. And no correct way was offer! I mean REALLY!)
One meal arrived without QR code instructions so I had NO idea what to do. 18 hours after the arrival of the food I'm none the wiser
It will be quicker to do the old fashioned thing and go to the local shops.
Why oh why don't you speak to your customers? This could have been sorted in minutes. The whole point of this was to save time not wait and wait for emails and not sending messages via your own link.
What a shame. The meals were nice but not worth the time wasting and stress

We’re very sorry that you had difficulty contacting us and were left without the cooking instructions for one of your meals. We completely understand how frustrating this was when the service was supposed to save you time.
Our contact form requires UK telephone numbers to be entered in international format: +44 followed by the mobile number without the first zero, spaces or punctuation. We appreciate that the form should make the required format clearer when an entry is rejected, and we’ll pass this feedback to our technical team.
Customers can also contact our Customer Support team directly at support@planthood.co.uk if the form cannot be submitted.
We’re also sorry that the QR code was missing from your meal. We’ll report this to our Production and Packing teams for investigation. For future reference, cooking instructions for the previous, current and following three weeks are also available on our website. Please select Healthy Meal Kits and then Recipe Instructions, then click the delivery date to find the relevant meal.
We apologise for the delayed response and the unnecessary stress this caused. We’re pleased that you enjoyed the meals themselves, but we fully recognise that the overall experience should have been much easier.

We’ve been using Planthood for a while and absolutely love it. The meals are delicious, varied and easy to cook.
It takes all the hassle out of meal planning and shopping, while still feeling like you’re cooking a proper meal from scratch. We’ve discovered some lovely dishes that we wouldn’t have thought to make ourselves.
Great food, great choice and really convenient — we’re definitely sticking with it! 😊

Great recipes but some shelf life issues
I tried Planthood after a few other meal boxes. I love that the recipes are all vegetarian/ vegan and the meals are a lot more balanced than the likes of Gousto etc. Customer service were also very responsive when I had to get in touch to change my address. However, one thing I really value with the other boxes is being able to keep and reuse the meals I liked, which isn't an option here as the sauces come pre-made (this also makes them feel less fresh though that may not be the case). Another very minor gripe is that they don't provide printed recipes. I understand the reasoning for this but I prefer not to use my phone for recipes while I cook. I also wasn't hugely impressed with the quality of ingredients; I got two boxes and both times had fresh ingredients that were already a bit worse for wear when they arrived, which isn't ideal when you get a box to last the week. There isn't an easy way to report this via the website (that I could find anyway) so the only way to do so is by email. Considering the more premium pricing vs others I've tried I expected ingredients to have a better shelf life. Ultimately 3 stars because it is convenient and the recipes are good.

Thank you for such thoughtful and balanced feedback. We’re delighted that you enjoyed the variety, balance and convenience of the recipes, and that our Customer Success team was able to help promptly with your address change.
Our sauces are prepared fresh by our kitchen team rather than being mass-produced or shelf-stable. We make them in advance to provide the more complex flavours our recipes are known for while keeping the cooking process manageable. We appreciate, however, that this means customers cannot always recreate a favourite meal easily from scratch.
We provide recipes digitally to reduce printed waste, but we completely understand that using a phone while cooking is not everyone’s preference. The online recipe pages can also be printed at home if you would prefer a paper copy.
More importantly, fresh ingredients arriving already past their best is not the standard we expect. We’re currently carrying out a wider review into produce quality and shelf life, including supplier quality, storage and how ingredients are packed. Your experience across two consecutive boxes is something we would like to include in that investigation.
We also take your point that reporting a quality issue should be easier to find. Customers can currently contact us through our website form or directly at support@planthood.co.uk, but we’ll pass on your feedback about making the reporting route more visible.

Delicious and nutritious!
I chose Planthood as I could clearly see the nutritional benefits and ingredients. The meals are really hearty, full of flavour and the portions are perfect. The instructions are easy to follow and my meals look exactly like the photo!

I used to really like planthood but…
I used to really like planthood but recently the quality has been much poorer and I have received produce on a number of occasions that was unusable well before the use by date. I also agree with other reviews about the inflexible cutoff date. It used to feel like a much more personal, helpful service, but sadly this doesn’t seem to be the case any more, and the too long email responses just quote the terms and conditions at you. Obviously there is a lead time issue, but there should be a way of cancelling an order after the cutoff if it is really necessary as an exception (eg you are on holiday or there is a meal in the chefs selection that you cannot eat) rather than leaving meals to go to waste. The company claims this is impossible but it’s really just a lack of generosity on their part; clearly a reduction could be offered in those circumstances and the meals could be put to better use.

We’re genuinely sorry that both the quality of the fresh produce and your experience with our Customer Support team have declined from the standard you previously received.
Produce arriving unusable before its use-by date is not acceptable. We are currently conducting a wider review into the recurring concerns raised about fresh vegetables, including their quality when received, remaining shelf life, storage, packing and individual suppliers. We would like to include your affected orders in that investigation, but as the review is anonymous, we cannot identify your account or the produce concerned.
We also take your feedback about our responses seriously. Our team handles each case manually, but we recognise that lengthy explanations can feel impersonal. The intention is to explain decisions consistently, but our replies should still be clear, proportionate and human.
Our weekly cut-offs are necessary because fresh ingredients and production quantities are committed in advance. However, exceptional circumstances can be reviewed individually where an order has not progressed too far, although changes or cancellations after the cut-off cannot be guaranteed.
We’re sorry that a service you previously enjoyed has left you feeling this way, and we would appreciate the opportunity to investigate it properly.

Planthood is awesome, long review incoming!
I have loved using Planthood for these last three weeks. I would never have thought to cook some of the delicious meals I have eaten. Even when I missed the date to choose by, I thoroughly enjoyed the meals they selected for me. Two things I love most, the meals are easy to cook and quick! I have a busy job and can’t be spending hours cooking when I get home. Having everything just portioned out and ready to go makes cooking so quicky and I’m actually enjoying it again. I was easting the same thing on repeat every week and soo bored. I’m not missing meat and even my husband has changed his mind about tofu, having had a bad experience in the past! I loved the smashed falafel tacos and in fact, haven’t had a bad dinner.
I’m also impressed with the portions. My husband is a big guy, and I like big portions, and in the past when trying other box deliveries, I’ve had to order for three people just to feel full. With these dinners, my eyes often think I’m going to be left starving 😂 but can honestly say I’ve never been left hungry! And… I’ve been doing 16:8 fasting and the dinners mean I can go until midday from without eating again!
Also saves on my shopping bill knowing I have 4 days sorted without needing to go shopping for dinner.
Honestly so impressed and I’m (by my own admission) hard to please.
I don’t often leave reviews, but this service totally l deserves 5 minutes of my time.
Keep up the recipe development so I never eat the same thing twice! Thank you

Poor Customer Service
Inconsistent, inflexible and poor customer service. Payment was declined and within 3 minutes of a declined transaction I transferred funds into the account and emailed them to try the transaction again. They responded to basically say tough you’ve missed the cut off and the payment failed so you won’t get your delivery now. However the cut off they gave in the email was over 9 hours prior to the transaction time and as I believed is the cut off time for your meal selection not payment. Yet when the same thing happened last month whoever handled my email then was able to just put the transaction through again. If you’re neurodivergent and struggle with strict, inflexible deadlines I would suggest looking elsewhere and save yourself the stress of dealing with this inconsistent, inflexible company.

We’re sorry for the frustration this caused, but we would like to clarify the payment history and why the outcome differed from your previous delivery.
As you acknowledged in your original email, sufficient funds had not been transferred into the account before the renewal. Our system made three automatic attempts (an hour after the initial attempt) to collect the payment on Friday morning, and our team also attempted it manually twice. This meant that a total of six payment attempts were made, but all were unsuccessful.
Although the formal cut-off for Monday deliveries is midnight on Thursday, we retain a limited payment-retry window on Friday to be sent into production. Unfortunately, the payment had still not been completed by the end of that window, so we could not add the box afterwards.
This is covered by Clauses 5.4 and 5.5 of our Terms and Conditions: we may retry an unsuccessful payment, but customers remain responsible for ensuring that sufficient funds are available. If payment remains unsuccessful, the affected delivery may be suspended or cancelled.
We also reviewed the previous occasion you referenced. On that date, the payment had successfully processed during the retry window before you contacted us. It was therefore not a manual exception made after the deadline, which is why the outcomes appeared different.
Separately, we fully accept that the later confirmation and cancellation emails were confusing. Your account was mistakenly included in a development billing test, which generated an order and charge incorrectly. We cancelled that order and issued a full refund as soon as it was identified. We also added a 25% credit to your account as an apology for that error.
We appreciate that strict deadlines can be particularly stressful for some customers, including those who are neurodivergent. However, because we source and prepare fresh ingredients against confirmed orders, we must have a final production deadline and cannot confirm a delivery where payment remains unsuccessful after repeated attempts.
We’re sorry that we couldn’t provide your box that week and for the additional confusion caused by the test emails.

Terrible!
Great food but terrible customer service. After taking a break from them due to multiple delivery errors and spoilt food I thought I’d give them another chance. I spent almost £80 on an order which was delivered today. Unfortunately Planthood have sent me the wrong order - so we now have no meals for the next 3 days. The only way I can contact them is via a web form with a 24 hour turnaround or email. Very disappointing.

While our contact form advises customers that responses may take up to 24 hours, our team replied to your initial message within a few hours and continued corresponding with you that day while reviewing the order issue and identifying what had happened. We appreciate, however, that even a prompt response and refund processed could not replace the meals you had expected or prevent the disruption caused.
We fully recognise that the refund does not undo the inconvenience of being left without the meals, breakfasts and drinks you had planned for. This packing error has therefore been escalated beyond your individual complaint, and our wider Production and Fulfilment teams are investigating the issues reported during this delivery period to identify the cause and prevent a recurrence.
