To begin with I Ordered my pimax on November 5th with an advert telling me "be ready for msfs24". The roll out is now on Tuesday and I won't have my hands on the headset. Order is still processing.

Since according to their shipping conditions I am within the warehouse region, shipping should take place within 3-7 days according to their conditions. This did not happen. Will it be produced when ordered? Disappointed big time.

On pimax discord and ticket server the I don't get an answer. Try now to at least get a refund. No answer yet neither.

This is the worst customer service I ever experienced. Should have ordered it here with a dealer. The price would have been even cheaper after taxes and shipping.

Get now a varjo or bigscreen beyond.

Purchased crystal light and accessories.

However, for sure i can tell, accessories you do not need to buy. And company does not accept accessories return despite claim on the website that you can return within 2 weeks. Very Chinese style. Many questions, no answer to email. Do all it takes not to allow you to ship stuff back. Terrible terrible experience. All communication with the firm is terrible for because either their on holiday or do not reply.

Regarding pimax itself. It is ok gear. But for example in the software they claim they have OpenXR support, that should allow rendering in the center. However, my experiecen, is that this is absolutly not working and community is way to small and company itself of course is even worse place to go for advise.

I bought the headset and it arrived in 3 weeks. I was afraid of getting a problematic unit but everything was perfect and so far so good. Their support was good and very helpful with my questions.

do not know what the product looks like, I order it "just" two weeks ago and it is not even shipped. But for sure I can share my frustration here, that getting an invoice from this company is impossible. Every day i was promised the invoice will come for the last 4 days and it is still not there. why an invoice is not send at the time of purchase is a big question...

Excellent cuatomer service. I always get a reply quickly, and always find a solution even with small problems.

I have ordered a couple of items from Pimax and in every case the items were months late in spite of the on-line inventory indicating that they were "In Stock" and mails verifying the order.

They charge the money when they verify the order and they are not in hurry to send the items. But if you like getting mails from their support with qoutes like this one:
"Apologize for not sending you the Comfort Kit & Dp cable,because now the Comfort Kit is being transfered from other places,
and it may really need some time.The logistics team will arrange it for you when the Comfort kit is avaialble in the warehouse."

Please note that this mail was sent to me after the order was confirmed ready and the money was charged from my account, Only because I inquired about the order 20 days after making it....and importantly it does not state WHEN they are able to send my order.....but at least the "logistics team" is on the case.....

This is the second time i order from Pimax. The first time they advertized with controllers and basestations with the headset. I ordered the set.....but it was delayed for months because controllers and base stations were not even in production.(they are offering products from other companies now)

To sum it up. The pimax homepage is fantasy. You cannot be sure that the items you order are in stock even though it says so. You cannot even be sure they are producing the items they are advertizing...the only thing you can be sure about is that they will charge you in advance.....

Ordered Pimax accessories in September 2019.
It's currently February 2021 and Pimax still haven't shipped the items.
Have been in contact with the support team every month since 2019 and yet they still haven't shipped the items.
They have recently confessed they are in trouble due to not collecting tax payments correctly.

Pimax are requesting I set up a fake organisation to register for a VAT number in order to pay £20 in tax to HMRC before they will ship to the UK.

S’agissant de cette société Chinoise, la liste de mes mécontentements est plutôt longue, aussi vais-je tacher d'aller à l'essentiel. Pour moi, Pimax, c'est avant tout, une promesse qui n'a pas été tenue.. mais pas que !!!

En fait, lorsque je pense à Pimax, le premier mot qui me vient à l'esprit, c'est tromperie., pour ne pas dire autre chose...ça a commencé avec le lancement de leur campagne de financement participatif en 2017, sur kickstaters, en fait, la seule chose qui ait vraiment fonctionné... avec une collecte de plus de 5 millions de dollars. Pour le reste..

Les premiers casques n’ont finalement été reçus, qu’en 2019. Et quels produits ? Le 4K, un véritable flop, vite oublié. Le « 8K » ; une communication trompeuse, faisant état d’un casque 8K, alors qu'en fait, il fallait comprendre, une définition de « 4K » par œil. Mais un casque presque aussitôt démonté par les tests (Nik-ETR, etc.). Mais au lieu de travailler sur l'amélioration de leurs casques, Pimax préfère se lancer dans la réalisation d’un 5k, tant pis pour les autres. Cela étant, à la surprise de tous, celui-ci sera jugé meilleur que son grand frère 8k. Bon, ce n’est pas tout à fait un hasard, puisque les deux produits avaient une même définition, à savoir, de 2 560 x 1 400 pixels ; on était donc plutôt loin des 4k annoncés. En fait, s’agissant de son 8K, Pimax s’était simplement contenté d’augmenter la définition artificiellement, par logiciel, pour lui permettre d'atteindre du 4k (3800 pixels). Résultat, une netteté très en retrait.. et je pèse mes mots. Bref, là encore, le 8k s'est fait démolir.

Qu’à cela ne tienne, Pimax lance alors, le 5K+, le 8k+. Hélas pour eux, le constat sera sensiblement le même, une netteté en retrait, des couleurs effacées, sauf peut-être, pour la version Oled de son 5K+; un FOV qui peine à dépasser les 140, des « plantages » à répétitions, un paramétrage compliqué et nécessitant d’être adapté en fonction des jeux utilisés, et surtout des casques qui se fissure.

Aussi, face aux nombreuses critiques, nouvelles réactions de Pimax, et nouvelles sorties. Arrivent alors le 5k Plus, le 5K Super, le 5k « Artisan », le 8Kx… avec pour conséquence, une envolée des prix.. On arrive désormais, pour un 8Kx, à atteindre les 1800€, auquel il faut ajouter les frais de transport, la TVA.. mais pas que, car Pimax n’a toujours pas réalisé ses propres contrôleurs, et donc, pour pouvoir le casque, Il vous faudra remettre la main au portefeuille afin d’acquérir des « contrôleurs », à 280€, ainsi que des "bases station" de chez Steam VR, à 224€ l’unité. Ca commence a piquer les yeux. Enfin, contrairement à ce que laissait entendre Pimax, ces casques nécessitent, pour pouvoir être utilisés correctement, d’utiliser une configuration PC de très haut de gamme, surtout si l’on veut pouvoir les exploiter au max de leurs performances. A défaut, vous devrez passer votre temps à « bidouiller » les paramètres du casque, via l’application maison, PiTools.. lorsque vous aurez réussi à l’installer..

Ce qui m’amène à m’interroger sur la qualité du service après vente. De rappeler que l’usine Pimax est située en Chine ; qu’il n’existe pas de représentant en France, les commandes devant se faire uniquement, via internet.

Et par conséquent, aucun moyen, sauf à en faire l’acquisition, de tester les différentes versions. Résultat, de nombreux produits vendus en seconde main, seulement quelques semaines après leurs acquisitions, sur des sites tels que LBC, EB.

Bref, faut-il acheter ces casques Pimax ? La réponse a cette question se trouve dans mon commentaire.. Ces casques sont, de mon point de vue, beaucoup trop chers, notamment au regard de la faiblesse de leurs performances réelles. Après, ce n’est évidemment pas parce que vous ne pouvez pas dépasser les 130 sur autoroute, que vous ne pouvez pas choisir de rouler en grosse berline. A vous de voir, mais je vous suggère de plutôt regarder chez HTC et son Reverb G2.

Pre-orders that take a year to ship, no response to tickets, 3 months plus to get RMA items like a faulty cable that arrives and the replacement is also faulty. If you wait 6 months+ for your item and ask for a refund, even if they eventually do they will charge "fees" that they never mention in any T&C. Scam company, avoid.

They recently also deleted their company forum and moved it to "openmr" because it was so covered in customer complaints and now they've moved their website from pimaxvr to pimax.com to try to wipe the slate clean on reviews like this one.
