Picnic having been fantastic throughout…
Picnic having been fantastic throughout the whole mortgage application process. Every who has dealt with me has been friendly and knowledgeable and really helped ease the whole process along smoothly and stress free. Well where to start Picnic have been great to work with no issues at all straight forward yes there is a fee but it well worth it in end got me in touch with everyone I needed without any issues and Nicola has been great i can’t thank her enough if am honest she kept up to her calls when needed very polite women of u need a Morgage and don’t no what to do or where to go this is ur company they sorted it all for me exciting times ahead

Incredibly pushy, hard sale call
I was referred to them by Experian, and since I was after a mortgage, I thought it could be a good idea to get - another - estimate, just to see if theirs was any different / better from the other brokers I already spoke with. An incredibly pushy guy called, with typical hard sale techniques (I used to work in sales, it wasn't difficult to spot them). I could hardly get a word in sideways, and I was pushed to immediately pay £99 "commitment fee" on the call, without even getting an offer or any information. Basically they wanted me to not have any other option but to go with them without even knowing what they can offer. And I almost fell for it, but luckily there was a technical issue on the website. The agent was so pushy that he insisted on calling me back at 8pm the same day but I should secure another card or payment method to make sure I can pay the committment fee. At that time I was in touch with other brokers, got information, quotes and even a DIP from them without paying anything and knowing what they can offer. Needless to say I went with another broker and cancelled the call. Extremely unprofessional sales attitude.
Update in light of the information request from Picnic Mortgages (because apparently, according them my review is not genuine):
I don't have a reference number because I never proceeded with your advisor, but my call was scheduled with someone called Tom at 17:00 on 12th January. I have 3 text messages from you but Trustpilot won't allow phone numbers to be posted, I had an online account created on your website where I was asked to upload a large amount of information - but sure, you most definitely can't find any of my details...

Excellent Service
I believe the whole stress of mortgages being taken off your shoulders was worth the £599.00 total fee. I think I have been excellently supported to a high level and standard thus far.
The only niggle is that sometimes they try to call without booking first, which if you work during normal hours can be a bit of a pain, but I also understand the advisors are trying to help as quickly as possible... They will always make time for an appointment and I would say 5* is perfect for the service I have received.

The team at Picnic kept me informed and came to me with a great mortgage offer. It was processed quickly, allowing my offer to be accepted. I found the online portal incredibly helpful for uploading documents, preventing delays. I would 100% use them again.

Smooth and easy process

I cannot fault every step of the journey. Every Person was very friendly and understanding to what my needs were. I was updated at every point of change. I came across picnic while on my credit…
I came across picnic while on my credit score. I read some reviews and got in contact. As a first time buyer I didn’t no were to start. My mortgage advisor James contacted me. I can’t thank him enough for how easy and straightforward he made the process. I have had weekly check ins, constant updates. The whole team have been incredible. On first contacting picnic they were very helpful and took a lot of stress and anxiety away for me. Every time the y said they would call, they did. Every time after that, the team was very proactive to help all the way possible. Very clear and well spoken on the phone. Highly recommend
I came across Picnic through Experian when looking for ways to secure a mortgage as two individuals who are self employed. The team got back to me very quickly and have made the process so easy and accessible. By comparison we contacted our own bank to see if we could get a mortgage with them for ease and it took alot longer and we were offered considerably less so we returned to Picnic where we just await a message to say what steps they have completed. As two self employed counsellors who work variable hours and are unable to wait on hold for prolonged periods of time, having a little team who handle all that for you and you can upload documents at ease and they are readily available to answer any questions made this part of the process almost stress free. The hours it has saved me that might have lost me work, made the fee well worth it and they secured us a mortgage within budget with reasonable terms and interest rate

After realising that renting in England has become so expensive I turned to Picnic to help my family and I find out the possiblities and courage to turn ourselves into home owners.
We specifically owe Andreea so many thanks in this process as she introduced us to this new adventure, providing us with all the answers to our questions, constant updates and support from day one, through to the very day we received our mortgage. Great staff and service
Chloe and her team made everything really really easy. I felt included and involved every point in the process because we stayed with my current mortgage provider. I didn’t have to pay a fee which was fantastic. Everything was very transparent about the process and I really valued being guided by The people that helped me.
