I had an excellent experience with Faye and Nicholas

I had an excellent experience with Picnic during my mortgage application. The whole process can be quite stressful, especially when you’re short on time, but the team was consistently supportive and patient throughout.

I’ll admit I was probably a bit persistent (and occasionally nagging!) due to the time pressure — for which I do apologise — but their understanding and dedication truly made the difference in getting my application over the line successfully.

A very special thank you to Faye, my mortgage advisor, who went above and beyond. She spent countless days (and even late nights) working on my case — I still remember receiving an update from her at 11pm, which really shows her commitment and care for her clients.

Also, a big thank you to Nicholas, my case manager, who always maintained a calm and reassuring approach despite clearly handling a heavy workload. His professionalism made the whole experience feel much more manageable.

I’m really grateful to the entire team and would highly recommend Picnic to anyone looking for a dedicated and supportive mortgage service.

Unprofessional Sales Approach - Avoid

I followed an Instagram advert, had numerous calls and mesaages from them. Including ghost calls where they'd autodialled and no agent would talk. Finally got told £99 for the discussion and £550 for mortgage approval. Its literally just a sales machine with a poor team driven by commission. Surprised at Experian who I thought were more professional in their business and reputation management.

Excellent service

Excellent service! Faye and Nicholas kept me up to date regularly and were always available when I needed them. They were knowlegable and guided me through the whole process with ease. Their online portal is also really easy to use and informative. I didn't think I would be eligible for a mortgage when I started but I have my offer through from HSBC with a great rate. Excellent and efficient service

Excellent and efficient service. Really liked the Dashboard which communicated progress well. Alex was very professional dealing with my enquiries for an interest only mortgage, and despite not being able to find an offer that suited me due to my unusual personal circumstances, I will definitely use them again when I need a new mortgage

Gave me the confidence to finally buy my first house

I’d been putting off starting the house buying process for a while because it felt pretty daunting. I came across Picnic Mortgages by chance and decided to book a free call just to see what it was about.

From the first call with Cameron, I felt a lot more confident about actually going ahead with it. The ongoing support from James, Faye and Shannon throughout getting my mortgage sorted and understanding the buying process was genuinely solid. Glynn has also been really helpful in explaining the different insurance options without overcomplicating things.

You could probably find cheaper mortgage advisors out there, but the level of support here makes a difference; you get what you pay for hands down. Having a full team involved, everything organised in one place on the dashboard, and regular updates made the whole process a lot smoother than I expected.

Overall, a really good experience, couldn’t really as for more to be honest, and I’d definitely recommend them.

I’ll be in touch in 5 years time when my fixed terms up 😉

Highly unprofessional experience - caused significant delays and extra

Initially they seemed very professional but then everything end up in a nightmare
1. My mortgage advisor request a CML that was wrong and I had to contact an independent mortgage advisor from mortgage bureau that had a phone call with the lender and told has how to CML should look, because we send the wrong CML i got delay over one month
2. Secondly , I keep chasing for updates and looks like they never try to sort the issue, been waiting for 2 weeks since the last CML for a lender response and I asked specifically my mortgage advisor to give them a call because I was hoping to move this month , still no response he is ignoring my phone call and messages and as a result I have to move in accommodation
3. If the person assigned to my case is on holiday then no one will peak the case
4. On your first phone call you are promised a life time product but there is no document to state that, not that I would want it after this experience as I start the application ( to the lender ) at the end of January and in April there is no sign of it getting done anytime soon

Remortgage made easy

I had a really positive experience with Picnic throughout my remortgage process. From start to finish, the team were professional, responsive, and very knowledgeable.
They helped me secure a remortgage on my property and also arranged additional funding at a very competitive rate, taking the time to explain my options clearly and making sure everything was tailored to my needs. The communication was excellent — I always knew what was happening and what the next steps were.
What stood out most was how smooth and stress-free they made what can often be a complicated process. I felt well supported throughout, and the outcome exceeded my expectations.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Picnic to anyone looking for a remortgage or extra funding. A great service all round.

Good guidance and professional

My experience with Picnic has been positive - communication has been good for the most part and everyone I have interacted with has been very friendly and knowledgeable on their related areas. If you know very little about the homebuyer process and need a guiding hand I would recommend looking into their service.

Took all to stress away

A much needed held by the hand experience for myself who was a first time buyer. Navigating in regards to buying a home was made simple, easy and quick. Matt was helpful to the questions asked and kept us on track for what we were wanting. Genuinely, this was much less stressful and quicker than I had initially geared myself up for. They found a good deal, never felt I was over paying for anything, the team found me a great life insurance quote too and made it seem like a walk in the park.

5/5 stars for all involved, I would recommend.

Fantastic
