We’ve been around for 55 years now, so we know just how much value our customers put on their animals. They’re not just for birthdays, or for Christmas – they’re part of the family. And, being a family run business ourselves, we know just how important the concept of family is. We currently trade from a 6000 sq ft warehouse on Cleveland Street and a 1800 sq ft superstore in Anlaby, and stock a wide range of products for all kinds of animals – from spiders to stallions, chickens to chameleons and, of course, the trusty dog and cat!

Good variety of products

Website easy to navigate. I thought the prices were very competitive which is why I brought from this company. However out of the 4 packs of bird treat sticks, 2 packs were completely crushed, so maybe packaging needs looking at, otherwise can't fault items.

Needed help as I couldn't find what I was looking for, I was stood right in front of 2 employees who were grabbing away. Not one of them turned to ask if I needed any help.. Very poor customer care... Willnowshop elsewhere..

highly recommend for animal needs

I've used peejays many times i know they'll have what I need. the staff are always friendly and efficient and I never feel rushed when looking round as sometimes I like to look at other things in the store and find things that I need but didn't go in for. 5* isn't enough for this lovely store. highly recommend

I was in your store on Wednesday night…

I was in your store on Wednesday night to get my pigeon feed and bits, I spend an average of £50 every time I come in, on this occasion I had my trolly searched, the young girl at the till asked to have a check under my 2 bags of pigeon feed, this made me feel very uncomfortable, is this the new policy at pj's, I felt I was been checked to see if I had stolen something, never happened to me before, thank you for your reply I totally understand regards steve

Good Morning Stephen - As I said in the telephone conversation this morning this is a company policy and has been for a number of years. We have an excessive shop lifting issue and as a family business we dont have loss insurance so we carry every theft personally and dont pass them on to our customers. I'm afraid trolleys checks are a small price to pay so that our prices dont increase. For every trolly checked we find hidden products in at least 10% of checks. I apologize you were made to feel uncomfortable, it wasn't personal or our intension. There is a sign on the till explaining why it is being done. Tracking links are provided upon dispatch. Unfortunately, once with the courier, we do not have the exact date your parcel will arrive. The courier typically informs you by text or email of the estimated delivery date. I will investigate why you have not received this information!

We do pack our parcels with the utmost care however, they can end up being thrown around once they make their way through Yodels network which I am afraid is out of our hands.

Hi Maureen, I am sorry your parcel is taking longer than expected.

As explained in our email correspondence, couriers are experiencing delays due to the large influx of parcels being sent as we are now in the festive period.

We always aim to have all of our orders with our customers within 3-5 working days, however, delays with couriers over busy periods like this are something we sadly cannot control.
