Great service, quick to respond!

Great service, quick to respond. I asked a number of questions throughout my purchase, and Jon was always really quick to respond and accommodate. Even when I asked for a delay in delivery at the last minute, they were happy to support. The Karndean hasn't been laid yet, but I look forward to seeing the finished product!

Efficient and friendly service. Good communication.l

I spoke direct with an extremely helpful lady to check on delivery days before placing my online order for a carpet and underlay delivery. It was so reassuring to have someone on the other end of the phone who knew what they were talking about. The order was fulfilled seamlessly (in fact one week earlier than anticipated) and even the delivery man was incredibly helpful about finding a safe place for the delivery. Incredibly effective communication all round. A pleasure to do business with them and I can wholeheartedly recommend them.

Recently purchased carpets for my…

Recently purchased carpets for my Daughters house, website was extremely easy to use and gave me all the information i required,
Ordering was easy and uncomplicated and the customer services were always on hand should we have needed them.
Delivery company kept us up to date and were helpful.

Would definitely use again, thanks for all your help.

Absolutely superb service from Mel

Absolutely superb service from Mel - thank you. Keep us updated with delivery as we were on a tight schedule and carpets per mt2 were so much cheaper than the original shop we saw it in. Definitely would recommend

Terrible customer service

Ordered our carpet online on the 6th July and had expected delivery on 19th July. Phoned customer services the day before to confirm delivery but was informed delivery would be on the 26th July (so not so 'speedy'!). At this point I informed them I would be away on holiday for 2 weeks and could I, therefore, arrange delivery for the 9th August. I was told this wouldn't be a problem.

They then still tried to make delivery on the 26th July. I have subsequently had to pay a further delivery charge to get my carpet delivered. Customer services had no record of my phone call on the 18th, even though I could show them my phone record. Their argument, for me picking up the additional cost, being, emails were sent regarding delivery.... all after my conversation on the 18th while I was on holiday! Customer services never made any apology for the mix up and were argumentative and unhelpful throughout.

The invoice for the further delivery charge was then sent through on a pro-forma invoice with bank details for a different company name!

It's my first and last carpet purchase from this company. For anyone considering using them, their idea of good customer service is pushing emails at you! Make sure you record your conversations with customer services!

Absolutely terrible service

Absolutely terrible service. I ordered online and agreed a delivery date over the phone. This date was then confirmed by the courier. I took a day off work to ensure I was home for the delivery.

The delivery did not turn up on the agreed date having waited in all day. The next day I went on my planned summer holiday only to find out that whilst travelling I had received emails stating that the delivery was going to be made that day, without any agreement in place or prior notice. As I was then overseas there was no one available to receive delivery.

Pay Trade Flooring are now trying to get me to pay a re-delivery charge for something which was their/their couriers fault. I am generally someone who writes positive reviews and avoids negativity but this is quite possibly the worst service I have ever received.

In addition to your response below:

We received no phone calls on the planned delivery date to advise that the carpet would not be delivered (and I have the phone records to prove it). The only missed calls were whilst I was travelling. Unfortunately like most people, we cannot just wait at home indefinitely for a delivery. The delivery should have been rescheduled by mutual agreement instead of sending an email stating that it would be delivered on the day of the delivery (the following day whilst I was travelling).

Your response below highlights the lack of customer service you have provided and the unhelpful and argumentative nature of our email exchange to date. I realise that mistakes happen but it’s how they are dealt with that determines the difference between good and bad service. At no point have we received an apology for all the inconvenience or the fact that we had a wasted day at home waiting for a delivery which never arrived.

I should also add that we still do not have any carpet and have had to cancel my fitter adding further to the inconvenience. The fault lies with you and your courier company and I should not be out of pocket as a result of your/their inability to stick to an agreed delivery date.

Unfortunately this review leaves out some key information. It is factually incorrect.

Upon ordering online, a date was given for delivery. This then went out on the agreed date and the courier sent 5 emails between the evening before and the afternoon of agreed delivery. These emails were missed as you verbally confirmed they had gone into your junk folder.

You wasn't at the property, as again, you confirmed verbally that you had got someone else to accept delivery for you.

The courier experienced traffic on the day that was completely out of their control. The emails sent, confirmed the delivery was going to fail as they physically ran out of time. The updates were frequent throughout the day.

A 2nd delivery time was then triggered for the following day. This is default. If we'd have known it wasn't going to be suitable we could have aborted the delivery and had no charge. However, you didn't cancel or abort, you just failed to answer the phone repeatedly when trying to get hold of you. This is when you confirmed you weren't even in the country and wasn't in the country the day before either.

We were charged for the delivery, a fee that we subsidise on every order. Due to the nature of your order, it was hundreds of pounds.

Due to your lack of communication, we have asked for a contribution of £50 (less than 20%) of what we now have to pay again to get the carpets delivered. The delivery of goods will likely cost £500-600 so we don't think a small contribution is unfair when it is your fault we are going to be charged for this failure.

Excellent Service

Great company. Ordered carpet from their website at a heavily discounted price to everywhere else that I had seen it. Delivery was fast, efficient and as they had advised it would be. Had the carpet laid today and it’s perfect - looks fab!! A very very happy customer and would definitely recommend using PayTradeFlooring

I found the website easy to use and find what I was looking for. I was kept informed of delivery timeline. Customer Services was helpful and responded quickly when I contacted them. Overall a postive experience. I would purchase carpet again from this company.
