I deeply regret having clicked on their publicity, which I first saw on Facebook. Just like anyone else here I was tricked into a weekly plan I ve never subscribed. I have never diwnloaded any app, I believe it might not even be available in my region here in South America and they said that I can only cancel my plan via the app. This is such a scam Had to cancel my credit card. They are a real rip off.

This service is not legit. They steal your money. Simple as that.

I did not even know this organization existed, yet money was withdrawn from my bank account and I was subscribed to a weekly payment plan!!
I have no idea how they managed to get hold of my bank details, so keep a lookout for them!

Complete rip off.
First they offer you a $1 fee to try the app and then they ask you a bunch of questions and sign you up for a 3 month membership without clarifying this additional cost.
You only have 1 feature with this subscription fee. If you want other reports you have to pay extra.

I reached out to support asking for a refund. They decline the refund.

Please do not sign up, or pay any money to this company. I purchased this and accidently clicked on the subscription.
The information was wrong, you have to take a photo, and they did not even get my eye or hair colour correct. I was told my ethnicity was very different to what I know it is.
When I pressed the link to cancel, I received an email to say I had unsubscribed. There is another link to click on the confirmation email, or more money will come out. Within three days I had been charged over $30 for meaningless information.
The Customer service are not there to help, but to nonchantly offer no real help or advice.
Read the other reviews, they are all the same.

Absolut scam! They choose the name of an existing company to confuse victims when they try to cancel their "subscription".

They are lucky you have to give a rating. They don't deserve 1 star. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TRIAL. IT'S NOT FREE!! You will be charged $1.00. I tried to cancel to avoid weekly charges of $24.99 but when I tried to login I couldn't. It said my account didn't exist. Can only sign in thru Google acct. Can't seem to find any way to contact customer service. The link a the bottom of the site doesn't work. They have tried to charge my Cash app acct every week now since Aug. 24th. I had to block the charges thru my card because I can't get any help from the site/app customer service dept.

If I could give negative stars, OriGene would be buried deep in debt with them. This app is a bait-and-switch scam dressed up as a legitimate service. They lure you in with what looks like a $1 “trial,” but the second you hand over your payment info—bam!—they slap you with a $49.99 charge: no transparency, no warning, just a straight-up hustle.

And when you try to resolve it? Forget it. Customer service is a black hole of indifference. They don’t care about fairness, they don’t care about honesty, they don’t care about customers—only about keeping your money. They’ll stonewall, dismiss, and do everything possible except help.

The app itself? Laughably bad. Not even worth the $1 they trick you with, let alone fifty bucks. It’s clunky, useless, and has all the polish of a high-school project done the night before.

OriGene isn’t just a bad app. It’s a predatory trap. The graphics look like they came from a computer from the 1990s. Save yourself the headache, the wasted time, and the lost money. Stay far away.

This company scammed me. Stay away from them. Do not sign up or put your card info in. They will charge more than the $1 advertised. Stay away from them. They charged me $48 and refused to refund.
