Excellent company. Very thorough sight test with pre tests prior. I needed a new prescription so helpful staff helped me choose 2 pairs of new frames & which varifocal lens to have. I was relaxed & did not have to rush as stuff gave me plenty of time. I chose 2 pairs of frames which I’m very happy with. I have already had people asking me where I bought the frames! They are colourful & fun. If you wish to have fun colourful frames that are a bit different then I highly recommend Optical People. The prices are also favourable. I’m so pleased this optician has come to my town. My frames with a complex prescription were ready within one week. You can’t ask for better.

After a frustrating search, they are the first opticians who truly understood and solved my specific eyesight issue — and for that I cannot recommend them highly enough.

A bit of background: I had monovision LASIK correction about 20 years ago, and over time my eyesight began to decline again. I tried a couple of well-known opticians in Rugby, but none of them could get my prescription right and I ended up having to return my glasses each time. It was disheartening.

From the moment I walked into Optical People, the experience was completely different. The staff are not only highly professional but genuinely warm, friendly and caring — they make you feel like you're in safe hands.

The practice itself is stunning; beautifully designed, spacious and with a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. They even offer tea and coffee.

My eye test lasted almost a full hour- you won't get this time anywhere else. They took the time to thoroughly examine my history, identify the exact underlying issue that every other optician had missed, and explain everything to me in clear, simple language — including why my previous glasses had never felt comfortable. That level of care and attention is rare and truly invaluable.

I was also impressed with the modern equipment they use for eye testing which makes the experience really smooth.

Despite the place looks and feels like a luxury five-star experience, the range of frames on offer is impressive and caters to every budget. There really is something for everyone.

I am so happy to have finally found an optician I can trust completely.

Optical People in Rugby — look no further!

I visited the Rugby branch and I was blown away. The frame choice was amazing and the service was like no other. From a coffee offered on arrival to an in depth eye test! Amazing from start to finish. Will be my opticians from now on!

Excellent place. Quick to get an appointment, friendly attentive staff, optometrist a real professional. Totally different from the meat market approach of Specsavers. Highly recommended.

Optical People is a fantastic store in Burton! I accompanied my Mum, who suffers from macular degeneration, to her appointment. The team were very welcoming and friendly. Jas (optometrist) went above and beyond to help Mum with her referral to the Department of Ophthamology and the ECLO service. Jas was extremely knowledgable and helped to advise on the best way forward with Mum's condition. This is genuinely the best service we've ever received at an opticians! There's also a brilliant choice of frames and lenses to choose from, and Jas made sure Mum's glasses were a perfect fit. Thank you for your amazing care!

Excellent experience at Burton this afternoon. Glasses chosen, paid for and provided within an hour. Great quality designer brands. Friendly and helpful staff with great customer service. Even gave me a 10% discount for NHS. Highly recommended!

Always great service and lovely staff. Hinckley is where we have always gone for sight tests and glasses since the branch opened. Very pleasant surroundings, very relaxing atmosphere and large range of frames in all price brackets. We wouldn't want go anywhere else in Hinckley

I had a really great experience with Rugby Optical People. The whole process felt very relaxed and genuine, and the team were incredibly helpful without being pushy at all.

They took the time to walk me through different options and helped me choose a pair of sunglasses that actually suited me, rather than just trying to sell something. You can tell they know what they’re doing and care about getting it right.

Overall, just a really smooth and enjoyable experience. I’ll definitely be coming back and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for quality service.

I had an excellent experience at Optical People Hinckley. I switched opticians last year and I am so happy I did. The staff are all so kind and conscientious and are very knowledgeable. The optician explained everything so well and did everything to ensure I felt comfortable and understood the process and even suggested some different types of lenses that have really helped me. The team helped me to fit my new lenses, recommending different options and ensuring they fit comfortably. They are always friendly and helpful! I have recommended Optical People to my friends and family and will continue to do so. Thank you!

Had a FANTASTIC experience with the optical people in Chepstow. Especially Emma and Ryan. Mum came to stay but forgot her glaucoma drops. Emma and Ryan kindly wrote and posted an urgent prescription to me so that I could pick up the drops at a local pharmacy in Maidenhead. Forever grateful and so impressed with the service and kindness. THANK YOU 🙏

How lucky are we all to have this wonderful facility in Chepstow .
Nothing is too much and the care i have received is 10000000 per cent .

The store manager in the Hinckley branch couldn't have been more helpful. I walked out with a new pair of glasses for less than £80 and inside 40 minutes. Great service. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

So thankful to the staff at Optical People! The service there is exceptional - Karamdeep gave me a great eye-test, and Anthony made up my glasses on the spot while I sipped a cup of coffee. The frames are beautiful too, very unique. I usually go to Cubitts in London, but now I’ve finally found my people!

I visited the Optical People branch in Burton on Trent, and I have to say that all the staff there are very welcoming and knowledgeable. They explained to me all my eye-test results and help me choose a pair of glasses that suit my needs. I was amazed by the nice range of glasses they have for all tastes and... budgets! I would definitely recommend it!

Having become a little disillusioned with my previous opticians, I visited the Optical People store in Hinckley recently and can’t praise them highly enough. First of all, it’s a lovely, spacious showroom with comfortable seating and a wide choice of frames. All the staff were extremely friendly and professional and I was greeted promptly and offered a cup of tea. The optometrist was kind and friendly too and very thorough, flagging up a problem which had been missed previously and referring me immediately to see a specialist on the nhs at my choice of hospital! Once my eye test was completed, the manager helped me in choosing frames but there was never any pressure to buy. Once I’d chosen the frames, I went out for a walk round the local shops and came back to collect them. They were ready within the hour. Brilliant service!

Do avoid this opticians. After using their branches at Sapcote, Nuneaton and Hinckley, one of the branches appears to have lost all the associated NHS records from their location, and another want to charge to provide a copy of the NHS record they hold on my eye tests which is in breach of the Opticians Consumer Complaints Service (OCCS). The ICO have also written to them to state they need to provide records which they ignore.
Looking at the legal options to extract from this unprofessional organisation.
