Excellent Service – Perfect for Seniors!

I recently had a heat pump installed and I couldn’t be happier. The team was professional, on time, and very polite. They explained everything clearly and took care of the whole process from start to finish. I started seeing cheaper bills right away!

As a senior, I really appreciated how easy they made everything for me. I didn’t have to worry about anything—they handled it all. This is the perfect service for anyone who wants a stress-free experience. Highly recommend!

Superb!!!

The whole process with Ontario Smart…

The whole process with Ontario Smart Energy was smooth from start to finish. The team was incredibly professional right from the first consultation over the phone, They took the time to thoroughly assess my home's energy needs and got me qualified. explaining how a heat pump would work in my specific setup, and ensuring it was the right choice for me. The rebate just came like they said so I thought I’d write a review. The installation was seamless, The technicians arrived on time, were respectful of my space, and completed the job quickly and efficiently.

I was very well informed through my…

I was very well informed through my experience being walked through the installation of my water heater and Heat pump.
The advisor through my assessment explained my savings and the upsides towards what I am eligible for and the change in quality of life moving forward.
Upon approval the technicians installed my equipment and guided me with knowledge as to how everything works. I was skeptical as to the savings on hydro and the rebates. Come week 4 I didn’t think I was going to be receiving the rebates, surely enough after my follow up quality call shortly after everything I was explained fell into line! Definitely recommend if your looking for support through your green transition!

Very happy I stuck it out

Went through the whole process and got a new heat pump installed. My gas bill got completely eliminated, and the monthly cost associated with paying off the heat pump is less than I was paying for my gas bill previously. Now I'm saving money every month and I have a brand new appliance heating my home, which increases my homes resale value. I was confused at first but the team was super helpful and I'm glad I stuck in there.

The Best Experience

Great experience. Received my rebates within like 3 weeks of installing the heatpump. I already got my bill and it’s showing my gas bill dropped a lot. I’m very happy and impressed with the service

What don't they get

What don't they get? Why do they push this pos on the people when it doesn't work? We already spoke to a representative and he lied to me. He said that the heat pump does -35 and then he said if you don't believe me I'll send you a pamphlet and when I read it, it said it can Handel -20 so he lied to me. And I have a 3600 square foot home and they won't work for the size of my home.vi am 71 and nobody is gonna pull the wool over my eyes and make me get one.

First, we want to sincerely apologize for any miscommunication that may have occurred during your conversation with our representative. We do our best to ensure that the information shared about product performance is accurate and transparent. If you were told that the heat pump functions optimally down to -35°C, that was incorrect — most high-efficiency cold climate heat pumps are rated to operate effectively down to around -20°C, depending on the make and model.

We also want to be clear that we never intend to “push” equipment on anyone — our goal is to educate homeowners on available energy-efficient options and government-supported programs. Ultimately, the decision to move forward is always up to you.

We completely understand your concerns about heating a larger home. A 3,600 square foot property requires a proper load calculation and potentially multiple zones or systems to ensure effective coverage — and we agree, a one-size-fits-all approach won’t work for every home.

Your trust matters to us, and we’d like the opportunity to make things right by reviewing your home’s specific needs and ensuring that you're getting facts — not pressure.

They absolutely scammed me

They absolutely scammed me. I have no income yet they gave me a loan. Then my electric bill went up 200.00 a month! No one wants to buy my house because I have these devices in my home and used a fraudulent company. I will be going to the better business bureau to complain.

We want to start by addressing your concern about financing. All financing applications are processed through third-party lenders, who are responsible for conducting independent credit assessments. Ontario Smart Energy does not approve or issue loans directly. The approval decision would have been made based on the information you provided at the time of application, along with a standard Third-Party Verification (TPV) call, which confirms your understanding and consent before any work proceeds.

Regarding your energy bill increase — in most cases, energy-efficient equipment is expected to reduce energy costs. If your bill has gone up, it may be due to other home energy factors, usage patterns, or incorrect thermostat settings. We’d be happy to have a technician review your system to ensure it’s functioning optimally and configured properly.

As for the equipment affecting the sale of your home, we understand how important peace of mind is when making home upgrades. However, many homeowners and buyers view high-efficiency systems as added value, especially when installed properly and under warranty.
