Wouldn’t even give them a star!!!
Wouldn’t even give them a star! It’s all a con a random bloke that is on commission sells you the course they don’t do the affordability right they get you signed up then leave it until the 14 days is up and can’t get out of the contract and they you are in thousand pounds of debt! Absolute SCAM beware. Rude and awful customer service and is such an awful company! Don’t touch because I made the mistake I don’t want you to do it aswell!!!
Don't do it
complete scam and not worth it at all. not able to complete in perspective time. And then make you pay for more time.

I came across New Trades Career via a friend of mine. At first I was hesitant to try an online college but having spoken to their great Customer Support team - Robert and Cosmina as well as a few others, they gave me the reassurance and support required. The online tutor team are very helpful and some of them even explain in greater depth to give you that extra bit of knowledge and understanding. Recently, having visited the centre at ERR, same again the staff and tutors are always professional. They provide exceptional wealth of knowledge that any candidate could ask for that aids them in progressing their Plumbing career.
This course is just a front for a finance company
This coirse is essentially a front for a finance company called Caledonian Comsuner Finance.
Avoid this at all costs. Use the Open University if you want to learn at a distance.
This course is one of the worst I've ever been on. Terrible structure. High interest, low tutor support and essentially a bunch of poorly made youtubr videos and cheap books, cheesy cds and pdfs.
Universities and college exist to put scum bags like these out of business.
Use an official, well eatablished college or university. Avoid indie finance company fronts.
NTC where to start, Awful
NTC where to start. Their salespeople tactics are something from years ago, they push you into believing that you know nothing. Sell as if this deal is only available now and charge you £7800 for the privilege. All signed up within 20 mins. Your now hooked into a financial contract. It's a self pushed learning process over 3 years sold that you can fit it in and train around other life commitments. This is not true. If you are not finished within 3 years you will still be tied in financially but will receive no more training. As for the training they sell is as highly skilled tutors to help guide you through. You will be lucky to hear at all from any tutors. Also for myself the likes of COVID shut training centres but there's no extension for you because of this. Also when you book to attend centre you could be waiting up to 6 months to get into them. How are you going to complete this in 3 years like that. Quite simply your not. And this is what NTC banks on to make their money. I actually had some of the certificates to be an electrician but they told me these where invalid. When I realised they weren't and questioned NTC they sent me a refund voucher. However this was also tied into me completing the course and paying off all the finance, very clever. So in effect iv had little input from tutors, paid for parts of the course I didn't need or receive and refund wise am not eligible because I couldn't complete the course in the time frame due to COVID, their booking wait times and that you cannot fit this around your daily life like they sell. Do not fall for them, use a reputable provider local to you that you can talk to and visit their centres, it will probably work out cheaper too.
SCAM
SCAM. This company is the lowest of the low, set up with multiple other companies to take your money and make it almost impossible to actually learn anything effectively with their poor material and awful online classes which quite frankly I’m not sure if they are even fit to teach others on how to do anything.
Don’t fall for the sales pitch on your call, you won’t go straight into a job, you wont get to the practical centre for months and months as they quite blatantly try to postpone this so you have to pay for an extension on the course (which they fail to mention in many cases that you have a set time to complete the course) and god forbid you ever call them. The staff are rude and borderline argumentative on calls, each one I dealt with seemed to be as unhelpful as the next.
If you are yet to sign up, avoid this and the other companies under Green360ltd as they are all the same. £7800 worse off with nothing to show for it.
I have had a great experience so far.
Honestly, I have read some of the reviews on here and NTC isn’t as bad as some of the reviews say. I have been doing the course for 18 months now and have nearly completed level 2 and 3 along side a full time job. Every time I call I get lovely customer service and really helpful staff.
The centres especially Featherstone is amazing and the tutors again really help you and try to get the best out of you. ☺️
Practical time can't pass H&E test
I thought it was just me for so long just been paying so my credit isn't messed up & yes they did lie to me about you do it at your own pace too I see I'm not alone, I am on the electrical course L2 L3 for £8000 & they also threw in a solar panel course in for free after I finish. I've been upto the part for the health and safety test for some months now to go do my practical and have failed 4 times. I've read the two books of material they give bearing in mind I already work on site for the last 4 years for construction management. Can't get in touch with them no replies I can see by other reviews I'm not the only one
Not as bad as most of these reviews suggest
A lot of these people reviewing 1 stars are just those who are too lazy to do the work you need to put into it to pass. I myself have been lazy but now I’m knuckling down I only have a few exams left in order to complete the course before my time runs out in February. Admitted, this is not enough time for me to finish my NVQ. However, I rang NTC and they have given me an extra 8 months due to covid, the staff were extremely helpful. I do agree that the salesmen who sell you the course are full of lies, know nothing of the trades and not a huge deal about the actual course they’re selling. Make sure you read the contract, you only get 3 years and then have to pay I believe £300 for extensions after this. My only other fault is how long it takes to mark TMAs, sometimes it takes a week per module to mark.
It is good to know now though that ERR (this is who you go to for the actual training) are soon to be providing the course, and so I would definitely look into this instead of going with a third party provider such as NTC.
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS UNLESS YOU ARE ALREADY IN THE TRADE
This company are a complete bunch of cowboys.
The finance company is linked to NEW TRADE CAREERS so it's a win/win for them
The first issue is that the scenario where the individual that comes to your house to "VET" you is a complete fabrication. They are not vetting you and there is no chance, if you can pay for the course that they would turn you down. They are salespeople!!! They will sell this course to you and the dream that its everything you have been looking for!
As part of this process the SELLER sold the dream that after 12 months you would be able to gain employment in the trade and that you did not need employment before this in the trade to succeed. THIS IS ALSO A LIE! I can't recommend strongly enough if you do sign up for this course the only way its going to work is if you have employment in the trade.
Due to the two above factors this course has been heavily MISOLD.
The support and documentation provided as part of the course is EXTREMLY WEAK.
There is no set complaint procedure other than talking to an employee full of attitude in the "customer service team" And as there is no governing body to keep this company in line they can do and say whatever they like! You have no protection if this goes wrong which i would imagine it will.
This company relies on the desperation of individuals to better their future and takes the 7000 without having any moral obligation or responsibility to do the right thing by the student.
i would love to see their success rate i bet they are killing it financially as people are contracted into paying huge amounts of money and this company are having to do diddly squat to take the student through the learning journey.
RUN FOR THE HILLS DO NOT SIGN UP!!!!!!!!!!!!
Need help to get rid of them and the payment
As I see I am not the only one who was scamed by them and who is struggling with them . I joined them last year in january, when it was still lockdown, being afraid of loosing my job and l was stupid and belived their promisses. After seeing how bad they are I stoped and started few times in the past year and a half with studies bit now I gave up completely since it is just waste of time. So I tried to cancel and as I see I fell in to their trap as many of you . They were rude and and very unprofessional .
The fininance company Caledonain soncumer finance is even worst . I was telling them if they refuse to cancel,at lest to reduce the payment. At first they gave me offer on the phone ,we agreed and everything was so so,lt's say not that bad. Today I called them again since they still didn't set up a direct debit with less payment and now the story is comletly different. Threats were made by their side that if I refuse to pay they will make sure my credit score to be bad etc. I was calling few times Citizen advice, but they don't seem being interested in helping people being scamed.
STOP PAYING a they’re a fraudulent…
STOP PAYING a they’re a fraudulent company that only want to take your money !
I tried to get an extension and explained that I was involved in a car accident, the lady over the phone had no empathy and told me I no choice but to pay an additional fee.
Stay far from this scam !

These guys wow Iv been battling since August to get a refund because that’s when the coarse ended surprise to me and they have breached there contract in so many ways so gunna take them to court I think coz I’m not wasting £5500 on six books and cds
Created FB Page
I have created a fb page called new trades college complaints for anyone with any information going forward on how to stop making payments to this awful company! £7400 for 3 books and a learning centre 2 hours away is just not good enough!
i have been trying for over a year to find a plumber to even take me under their wing (for free even) just so i can learn what im studying!
Do not go with New Trades Career, awful company.
Do not go with this company, you will regret it. The customer service is a joke, they don't care about you in the slightest. The agent I've dealt with is rude and condescending and clearly not very intelligent. I've been waiting over 3 months for a practical date - which is a joke considering the only reason I signed up to this 'course supplier' was because I was told I could learn at my own speed - this is not the case. If you're looking for trade skills, stay away from these jokers. Its costing me 7.5k, don't take out finance because you'll regret it and won't be able to get your money back.
Awful customer service and false adverstisement
I phoned up customer service today and was honoured to speak to the worst person ever with the horrific customer service skills. she was belittling especially when you pay near £8000 for the course to be told. you have ran out of time and that you have to apply for an extension and according to the reviews you have to pay additional cost. I was told I needed to read my contract the one thing I was never given when I applied. The course itself is self taught and if you have a busy lifestyle and family life and a teacher wanting a change of career its not best suited. I cannot believe the false advertisement and when you do the practical sessions on a weekend they dont book you in for another for at least months to come. I will be making an offical complaint.
I started the plumbing course in…sept 2020
I started the plumbing course in September 2020, the first year was great completed it all in about 9 months received my level 2 diploma. But the problem comes after that I was told I needed to take three weeks off to do the NVQ and it’s in Sunderland, I was told it was a part time course, I wasn’t told the second year was block weeks and there’s 5 or 6 of them. For one I work full time and there’s no chance I can take three weeks off work at one time. I was mid sold the course but if I had the time and the money it is a good course. I do admit that customer service at Ntc is a shambles they don’t give a toss. But EER Ltd the trainers are fantastic and I learned a lot in my first year as it was w/ends and one full week. Just a shame I can’t finish it. All I can say is read the contract make sure you have the time to complete it. I must state I didn’t know the second year was block weeks and wasn’t told the NVQs would be 3 weeks a time. I was also told the nvqs would be local and not three hours away.

I can't give minus 10 * otherwise I will I fill identify by every it I read in this section they are scammers never there to help very rude and abusive . U don't need full scope to became an electrician only Ur 18th level 2 and 3 not all the package they sell. ( Niraj the sales man who came home lied saying is easy and they very helpful you'll have it within a year now is about to expire and additional time will cost money even tho they don't mention at first please find other colleges NTC is a real froud scammers thiefs... 7800 in the rubish
scam taking money for nothing
same as all the others my son started this course and has paid over £3000 so far and received 3 books has not been to practical yet has been told to pass the safety course which is impossible 4 times we have tried an absolute scam we have now stopped paying our dd We were contacted by the finance group and did pay one more but on speaking to a reviewer on here we have stopped again and are seeking legal advice
Scam, do not give your money like I did.
Started this course in September of 2018. At the start everything was great. Did my tma and my practical. Finished my diploma and water regs end of 2019. Then the nvq portfolio started and COVID hit. If you don't have a job in the industry you will not complete your course. When I contacted them asking for extension because of COVID pandemic costing me nearly a year of my time. I was instantly sent to apply with another company that had a 400 pound admin fee. I've already spent just shy of 7k on this course and they want more money. I will not be paying that 400 as I found out it's a scam and all run under the same company. I've checked them out under company house and it screams scam. Hopefully I save some people 7k not to be prayed on because you want a better career. Shambles if I'm honest have no idea how companies get away with it.
