Signed up to an electrical course, due to work commitments etc the course is taking me longer than expected. Also due to the fact of covid, I went to sign in online to be not able to logon, contacted customer services to be told my course has expired and it would be £400 to extend for another 12 months. I already paid out £6800 for the course, not once have I been contacted by them during covid. Had the occasional email reply just saying work at your own speed etc, then you go to login to nothing working !!
Absolute scammers ! Am so livid with these people. They won’t even let you speak to a supervisor or manager when you call. Please people stay away from these !!!

All I want is my money back from the so called school they scammed me of 7500 pounds. Now telling me to pay extra for me to continue.... joke my question now is how do we that have gone through all that trouble from that so called school to bring them to court of law and all gets our money back.

I signed the contract the day the my daughter was born £2160. The guy that supposed to be my tutor disappeared. The support service was never clear. I would receive new material without knowing the end of my course.
Consequently I was blocked and they asked me to pay extra fees if I wanted to continue.

Ntc is an absolute joke you get no help whatsoever. I asked them to call me over a weekend they rang when I was at work so wasn't helpful as I wasn't in front of my computer. They claim it takes 4 days to mark training sessions, when we all no they are computer generated questions and it takes 7 days. They claim the tutor's work 7 days a week, which they don't. When I first signed up they said it would be 4 years as my job comes first to be able to fund the course know it's been 3 years and they suspended my course without any notice whatsoever. They quick enough to take you on. I would love to see success rate? Bet it's low. To anyone thinking of doing a course through them avoid at all costs.

i have cancelled my monthly payments now and reported as a scam, everyone else should do the same could be a chance of getting some money back from these absolute crooks! if any of you that have also been scammed reach out to me and discuss.

Utterly utterly useless, came out of this not being able to complete in any meaningful time and has now expired and still had to pay until balance was clear, I still have very little knowledge of practical as it's rushed and when you can't do it it's done for you with no explanation of how and why in the practicals, answers are given to you when you fail any tests with no explanation of anything you went wrong on. I still can't actually do the simplest of tasks in my own home as I just didnt learn much from this joke of a course!!!!! Go to a real college/course, this place should be closed down

Signed up during covid and everything from them has been lies! I was told I would do a practical lesson at the end of each tutor marked assessment. LIES! I was told I had no time limit to finish the course. LIES!

The tutors are useless and don’t really help at all, there are grammatical errors all over the books you get and conflicting information within them too!

I could go on and on about this absolutely p*ss poor company but the best thing you can do is Google new trades career scam and look at the THOUSANDS of people having issues with this rob dog company!

I started the domestic renewable energy engineering course around the time of covid. With the centers being shut the tutors would do recordings that students can look at, which I think was a great idea. The training material are very helpful, interactive and easy to understand. There are reminders about TMA's if you haven't submitted any assessment for a while. My work caused me to be away often which affected my time spent on the course. On speaking to customer service and explaining my situation I was offered an extension to complete my course. The team listened and were very helpful. I can't wait to complete my course.

Absolute rubbish company total con artists should be shut down all they do is send you books and trying to get hold of tutors is a joke they should be made to give everyone their money back

Completely scam and full of lie for nothing, people please be careful with salesman he try to deceive you for long long time pay direct debit, I hope we can make a group against them and sue this scammer.

The extension I had been given due to Covid 19, is no were near enough time to complete my courses. We lost basically two years due to Covid, and i was only being given 1year to complete both NVQ LVL 2 & 3 in plumbing. I am a new father and I am fully employed. This means taking the amount of time off to complete all this work before August 1st is financially and practically impossible. I'm fully up to date with all of the work you have requested from me, and have been for some time. Not to mention the pointless videos you have students watch before being allowed to attend the site. Furthermore the way you have dealt with my course in general has taken time away from me. I have been booked into weekends where we have completed all the work within 1 day. completely wasting a sunday, and not allowing us to complete more work to get a head start. My bathroom installation involved me completing four theoretical exams, without prior warning, but we were informed that the bathroom installation is all we would be doing. We were also told that our portfolio would be sent out once it was ready. But it took me to call you to send it to me after 12 weeks of waiting ( i called at 8 weeks also, but you informed me it wasnt ready yet, again i wasn't told to call back to get it sent to me). Now my portfolio is complete, and you're telling me it takes 2 months to mark, which you have told me is included in my extension, which is absolutely ridiculous. And not to mention the countless times you have asked me to prove I am paying my finance, just so I can get booked into a weekend course. I have now reached my NVQ LVL 3 and due to the time it takes you all to mark/ process things, i have now been told that i don't have enough time left to start my NVQ. At no point have i not been flexible, every weekend i have been given i have taken. And even now you still ask me for proof of finance, even though i have completely payed off my course, furthering the truth that all you do is try to delay your students enough so they give up. furthermore, you want me to pay for the privilege to continue my course! It feels like everything NTC has done throughout my course is to delay me from achieving my goal. If you don't give me the time I deserve, I will not complete my course, and all this time and money will have been for nothing. I will be willing to take Legal action if this is not addressed.

Avoid these at all costs, little help, everything takes forever as they constantly try to delay you and then charge you for extensions on your course. And worst of all Karen on the other end of the phone is absolutely horrible to deal with. Rude, aggressive and not at all helpful.

Mediocre at best, the tutors don’t really tutor? You get books and CDs and if you get stuck, call your tutor? I was stuck on the pre-workshop test on the website, you’re allowed limited attempts till it locks you out of any attempts (doesn’t even show you what you got wrong).. they send you a test paper though. The thing is? The website is utter confusing, there’s not really a direction, it becomes a miserable and the tutors are kinda pointless if I’m honest..

Although I have learned new things, tutors just needs to be more engaging.

Much like the rest of the outpouring reviews on here, I’ve had a terrible experience with NTC themselves. They seem uncontactable most of the time and when you do get through to them, bloody useless. This doesn’t go for ERR Ltd who hosted practical training weeks, they were great. Really informative and friendly. Last time I checked, their centre in Southampton said permanently closed so that’s a shame if so.
Anyway, I’ve had major frustration in understanding why I haven’t been able to begin completing my portfolio along the way. They have been adamant that it is completed after completing my AM2, which is totally backwards and different to any other provider. Not cool. Fortunately my level 2&3 certificates are legit and I hold my head up high that I could pass them with bugger all help from them. Now I‘m in a position that I want to book on to the AM2, but I need a signature from NTC.. God knows how that will go. How do I get that?! The course expires in August, I‘m guessing I will be completing my portfolio with another company!
Overall, shoddy company and scam artists.
Err Ltd were great.
I just want to fully qualify as a spark.
Would love to take legal action if there is a galvanising movement to screw them over and get some money back.

The last 2years dealing with ntc was very difficult, they made it hard to get my level 2 diploma by putting hurdles up every 3 to 6months. 1st they told me the level 2 diploma course I originally signed up for was only a level 1 foundation and that I needed to pay another 2250 for the level 2 diploma which I then asked if it includes the nvq which they replied yes and that they hold nvq sessions at their own sites. Next once I completed the online diploma level 2 work ( i paid them again) I asked when will they put me down to attend the nvq they then told me I need to pay another 2250 for the nvq and I need to find my own employers to assist in doing my nvq and that there colleague made a mistake... I was fuming felt lied to and misled the whole entire time having to juggle the course and time off work.... they don't call you and will let your course expire before calling you.... also there's no online tutors on standby to help, the video of the bald guy explaining plumbing he died during covid.... all they care about is money, the plumbing tutor at the Elstree centre reeks of alcohol and takes a nap in between session.... After all the hurdles I finally got sent my diploma certificate I then called City and guild and they told me it was genuine which I was surprised by... I will not be continuing with NTC, I have found a plumbing company who are happy to assist me with getting the nvq with there own providers... NEW TRADES CAREER is not for the weak you have to be very strong and have money to back you up or they will leave you In debt.

I signed up for the Plumbing L2 and L3 course in 2021 after being made redundant. I was told over and over that I didn’t need to be a plumbers mate or already be in work and that NTC would be with me “Every step of the way” They work in partnership with a company caller ERR who do practical training sessions and are very good at certain centres. After a year of doing online exercises and visiting ERR for the NVQ practical steps I was asked now to complete a portfolio and this is where the issues began. I was told that I needed to have ‘my own plumber’ sign the portfolio off. Confused I called both NTC and ERR many times to ask what that meant and they could only tell me to find someone. I wrote to 40 or 50 plumbers on the Gassafe register and a couple replied but never offered me any time for the ‘tasks’ I was meant to be observed doing and get signed off. I asked them again - “Why have you told me I don’t need to be employed i.e. a plumbers mate?” They said “Offer work for free and someone will let you do their work and you can get it witnessed and signed off”. NOBODY came forward. Who, except an employer or friend, would allow that for someone they don’t know? I Called back again and again and I feel I have been gaslit as the statement “You don’t need to be a plumbers mate” and “Get supervised by a fully qualified plumber to complete your NVQ L2 & L3” seem to be completely contradictory. Customer service keep replying with they same information and try to make me feel like I’m missing something or am in some way inadequate. They have also said I can have and ‘extension’ to my course. So I have no money coming in and still am paying the finance they forced me to take out so I feel stitched up completely.

A scam, they offer no help when you contact them that you're struggling. they say that the course can be done for as long as you want but in truth you have expiry and it need to be done in 3 years or you have to pay for an extension.

I was also told they had sites all over the UK. i gave in my postcode and he said there's ones no more than 30 minutes away. it came to the day i had to go in for training and the closest is 2 hours away!
