I'm sorry to hear that you are being targeted with adverts that aren't of interest to you. We're not currently running any ads for My Online Therapy, and haven't since we acquired the platform a year ago, so I'd like to investigate what you are seeing online to see if some historic ads are still being displayed!

The price is fair.

The prices are not low, but I suppose that's because all specialists are highly qualified and trustworthy. I definitely can say that about mine at least, I got 2 sessions and they really helped me. The sire itself works great.

Hard to get appointments or the right type of therapy

I initially signed up at the start of the site and was able to book a 30 minute therapy session fortnightly.

After the first few sessions I was pressurised by the therapist to move to 60 minutes fortnightly if not weekly. As I was paying for this myself that was proving to be very expensive.

Appointments have to be prepaid so in order to secure the slots I wanted I was paying out a few hundred pounds at the start of each month. If I wanted to move an appointment I had to book the new slot, pay, and then get them to refund my original appointment.

After a while, my therapist started to offer less appointments and only a week at a time. I started to go for longer and longer periods without being able to secure an appointment.

Very few of the therapists offer talking therapy and I didn't get on with DBT, tapping or mindfulness.

Decided it just wasn't for me as I could access therapy much cheaper elsewhere

Thank you for your review and I am sorry to hear that My Online Therapy was not for you. We look to offer affordable and accessible therapy sessions with clients given the option to book either 30 or 50 minute sessions. As a self-funding client, all sessions do need to be paid for at the time of booking. All psychologists manage their own schedules and usually update their availability a minimum of 2-4 weeks in advance. They also have tools available to reserve slots for clients if they have a particular time they want to save which can then be turned into a booking at a later date then charged, so you don't necessarily need to pay all at once when booking your future sessions. We also offer free reschedules for sessions up to 48 hours before the booking time, so if you do change your mind and need to amend the original booking you can do so without having to make a new booking and be charged again. All our psychologists at My Online Therapy are HCPC registered and offer talking therapy. Psychologists speciailse in certain evidence based therapy approaches and we would encourage clients to speak to their psychologist or contact Customer Support if they feel they're not getting what they want out of their therapy sessions and perhaps need a different approach or way of working together. I am really sorry to hear that your experience was not to the standard we would expect. Thank you for your feedback. All psychologists manage their own schedules and usually update their availability a minimum of 2-4 weeks in advance. We always recommend talking to your therapist in the initial session to discuss how your therapy should be scheduled in terms of maybe a weekly or monthly session. Therapists have tools at their disposal such as reserving sessions, so you know you have the same, regular slot and you can always send a direct message to them via the platform if you're looking to book a new session. I am sorry to hear that your therapist has limited availability. Amazing Product

I suffer with tennis elbow and back pains. This is due to the job I do as a carpet cleaner. I read the reviews and purchased Moi Therapy and this has worked really well for me. It’s easy to use and gets in very deep to relieve the tension. I definitely recommend this product and it’s well worth the money.

What a total waste of time

What a total waste of time ! Went through the questionnaire, wrote loads about myself which took some time to fill in ! Then at the very end it asks am I suicidal I said yes , then it says sorry we can't help you contact this number !!!!!! What a total joke ! The NHS has let me down hence WHY I have to pay privately! So why on earth are they sending me back to the NHS when they are the ones that haven't helped me for over 20 decades !!! Are they that idiotic that surely with people willing to pay for their service, they know already the NHS has failed ! Yet they tell you to go back there ! The NHS and the So called emergency line is the reason I feel suicidal as they don't help and their attitudes over the phone are not pleasant! You don't now want to help people ! You want to just annoy them and upset them further ! Why not ask the suicidal question at the beginning of the form ? To save me being rejected at the end !!!! Scam of a company! Please do not use these, better off going to a local person who can help face to face who won't let you down. Any decent company offering therapy would have a phone line with someone at the other end , using computers to fill in forms and chat to you when its as serious ans personal as therapy, needs the personal human touch not a computer ar the beginning to see if you're acceptable for them or not!! Obviously I wasn't, if you feel suicidal sorry we can't help you !!! What a joke , I feel that way daily but wouldn't go through with it another question that I answered, yet they were willing to not help me !!!!! Not good at all ! Rejected by a computer ! Great experience thank you, reinforces how much we are more about them making money than caring about us as human beings.

I am really sorry to hear that we were not able to help you when you looked to register with My Online Therapy. I appreciate how frustrating it must have been for you to go through the questionnaire with considered answers to only find that we were unable to take your registration any further. In our experience it is safer for someone who is feeling at risk of suicide to work with a wider team and with a connection to their local services, so that they can be supported outside the sessions - unfortunately just seeing a psychologist (particularly online) doesn’t provide the level of help needed. No free consultations or initial chat

There are no free consultations or anything before the first session to help you know if the therapist and their type of therapy is a good fit for you. The way you're connected is very vague. I ended up being charged £84 for a terrible first session which just made me feel worse.

We are working with our partner organisations to ensure this is offered to all our clients when they join our platform. I have been suffering from GAD for years

I have been suffering from generalised anxiety disorder and panic disorder and then it led to agoraphobia for the last 18 years since my father passed away,
I’ve tried all sorts of therapy including acupuncture hypnotherapy various medications and then thought it was time to speak to a professional clinical psychiatrist so I got in contact with My Online Therapy and choose my therapist Charlotte Cox.
I explained I had reservations on this or anything being able to help me as I’ve been suffering for so long so she came up with a plan and ease me gently into understanding everything about my anxiety and what I needed to do to sort it out Charlotte has been very professional and understanding throughout the whole process and has helped me gain a lot more confidence and now I am stronger and less anxious, I would highly recommend her and the program.

Lack of empathy…

I’ve been using the service for a few months. I had a medical emergency and could not attend one of my sessions. The psychologist refuses to even read my message asking for the session to be rescheduled. I contacted her a few times but no response. I’m shocked about this cold attitude towards patients. You would think they would have a bit more empathy… I have been contacting her since the appointment was missed. Hoping this can be resolved soon. I have used other therapy platforms and this never happened to me before. This is dehumanising.

Hi Iman, I am sorry to hear that you were unable to attend your session at the start of September. Our Customer Support team has also reached out to the psychologist to see if she's able to offer to reschedule when you contacted them last week. As previously advised, although there is no timescale for a reschedule request it has been two months since the session date and it's up to the psychologist to authorise it. Hi Lefteris! We do sometimes experience periods of high demand on our services, but we would encourage you to talk to your psychologists about regular sessions and finding a routine that suits you. All our psychologists manage their own schedules and usually release their slots a minimum of 2-4 weeks in advance. As a Vitality client, you have the luxury of knowing the number of authorised sessions you have available to book so always worth planning ahead to get your sessions booked in for when it suits. Happy Newcomer

I have only just begun with My Online Therapy, but I am very happy. My initial appointment was fantastic, the scheduling system is easy, and customer service was prompt and helpful when I asked for a more formal invoice for my insurance provider. My online therapy is awesome

My online therapy is a great app/website to help people getting affordable and quality therapy wherever they are. My therapist is amazing and has been helping me so much in a period of high stress. The app is also very easy to use and has never crashed. Highly recommend!

Pleasant Surprise.
I was very pleasantly surprised by how straightforward and hiccup-free the set-up and introduction was. I was a bit apprehensive about the online format but needn't have worried. The atmosphere was welcoming, supportive and I felt safe and secure. All in all, a really good experience. Thank you!

Easy and friendly service.

I'm satisfied with the service. It was easy to book, to see the available psychologist and their special interest. Booking an appointment has been easy too. I also appreciate to get remainders of the booked sessions.

Therapist and therapy is amazing on app BUT app useless

I love my therapist, she's amazing and everything I wanted. However the app is terrible. I can never get an appointment via the "book a session" feature because it says she's available on certain days with green dots. When you click on it... No time is available there to press. So everytime I have to message her, wait for a reply (which is fine as she's a busy lady) and then she has to release a time that we've agreed and I have to book it there and then, otherwise I may miss it. So cut out the middle man and just message your therapist 😂

Bottom line is... Therapy amazing. App useless. If I could have the therapist without the app... I would.
