Boycotting as an LGBTQ person

Boycotting until further notice.

I have been a loyal customer of myfabrics.co.uk for many years and in fact have defended them on this site previously when they were review bombed over disruptions to their order fulfillment process

Myfabrics.co.uk has recently released a line of licensed harry potter themed fabrics. It is well known that J.K Rowling profits financially from any and all harry Potter merchandise.

J.K Rowling has also consistently and knowingly stoked the flames of transphobia and violence/animosity towards the greater LGBTQ+ community.

I can not and will not financially support myfabrics.co.uk until such time as these fabrics are removed from the site permanently. To purchase any of their products would be to support a business that is indirectly supporting right wing violence.

Good quality, good fabric, delivery times okay

It's not a UK company, so don't expect quick delivery. Other than that it is not a bad experience.

The website is very well set up and everything is easy to navigate compared to other actual UK fabric stores, so it's an easy process that end.

The dates and info are all in USA format on the website, so it's very confusing and frustrating to use. I'd say they need to fix that asap, it makes it feel very cheap. I'm unlikely to use them again.

The fabric I received was incredibly nice and I must say that their selection is quite impressive.

Such a good company

Such a good company, for some reason there’s some bad reviews on deliveries but I ordered twice from England and it arrived within two weeks (during a bank holiday) the first time and a week the second even tho it comes from Germany ! Amazing service would 1000% recommend and re use

16m of dark blue velvet for curtains

The fabric (Dark Blue Velvet) was exactly what I needed for the curtains in my new loft extension. Delivery was excellent. Customer Service was swift to respond to the one minor problem I had, and fixed it without objection.

Still not received my fabric

Still not received my fabric, don’t order fabric from here if you require it soon. They don’t answer emails so there is no way of getting in touch. They’re a German company not British a bit misleading. No doubt I’ll get a generic reply to this negative review to contact them for them to ignore me.

Have been ordering from my fabrics for…

Have been ordering from my fabrics for over a year, always great service. Fabrics are top quality and some beautiful designs will always order from this company. It takes about 10 days for it to arrive but well worth the wait

Fabric never arrived (it's now been a…

Fabric never arrived (it's now been a month) so I asked for a refund after three weeks. No quibbles but no apology or explanation either. Perhaps it got lost in the post which wouldn't be their fault but who knows. I wouldn't buy from here again or recommend to friends.

Bad customer service

6/12/2022 ordered sample of fabric. Arrived end December. Wrong sample. I had to order again and again paid £3 postage as system seemed complicated to apply discount code. This process took 2 weeks. Sample arrived not large enough to show the colours I needed to match. I was told to order and pay for half metre. A gesture of good will could have resulted in me using this company again . As it is despite being promised £6 refund I have received £3. The tone of the response from customer service was like dealing with a robot.

Order not received, no response from vender

After placing an order which took close to two weeks to be processed, I attempted to cancel as the delivery date was too late for the purpose ordered. Was told could not cancel because was about to ship. It’s now more than a month late, and I have not received any update or response to enquiries. Of course, the money has been taken. So I paid for £25 for fabric I’ve not received, and around 60 days have passed since the original order. Extremely disappointing and will definitely not be shopping here again.

EDIT: Immediately on this review being posted I received an email and refund. Contrary to the response below, no email was received on 2nd January.

Speedy delivery

I ordered item from MyFabrics taking a chance as it was the best price I could find online. I was pleasently surprised when it arrived on 5 days earlier than the estimated delivery date. During post strikes and the run up to Christmas, this is a feat! Very happy. Thank you!

123 days later and still not settled

After a massive delay for two metres of fabric, I recieved two parcels - one with 0.6 metres and one with 1.4, rendering the whole thing useless. I have submitted complaints and been continuously ignored. I am now submitting complaints every day to their social media accounts. I'm exhausted. This is the most horrendous experience I have ever had with an online retailer.

Avoid. No delivery, no response.

We ordered for 2900£ pounds worth of products in September.
By mid November, since no products had been shipped yet, and inquires was not being answered at all, we cancelled our order.
A month later now, we have not even been refunded the 2900£ !
I'm sure it's illegal to charge for an order when you are not able to process it for months.
No delivery, no response, no refund, please for your own sake avoid.

Edit: After writing this review the charge was refunded.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I have posted two complaints - my fabric which has apparently been sent to me has not been delivered and Myfabrics customer service is NON EXISTENT. Someone called Andrey - ABSOLUTELY USELESS, he/she just ignores any communication. Under both my previous reviews I got a response that Evri would be delivering my fabric on the weekend. JUST BE AWARE THEY DID NOT AND I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY FABRIC. There are so many other five star companies selling fabric online engage with them instead. Also BE AWARE THIS IS NOT A UK BASED COMPANY EVEN THOUGH THEY SAY IT IS. They are now ignoring all correspondence from me. They have my money and I do not have my fabric. I have advised them that Evri are useless too and it is up to them to chase up my fabric as they have the contract with them but they just do nothing. HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE - once they have your money they ignore you.

AVOID please read the reviews and avoid

How much can I stress that I should have read the reviews before buying.
Despite the site name, this company is based in Germany. I ordered fabric on 31.10.22. After numerous emails which were not responded to, my order arrived on the 26th of November. The tracking informarion did not work at any point.

Delivery times aren't acceptable

Fabric finally arrived, it was what I ordered and of the expected quality. But I wouldn't recommend buying until they've sorted out their website and delivery problems. I tried to order 9 times, each time instead of taking me to the payment page to enter my card details it redirected to the home page. I did try the usual turning off pop-up and tracking blockers and using a different browser with the same result.
My account shows the failed orders so it was accepting the order but not letting me pay. In the end I had to use Paypal.
Delivery is incredibly slow, it took 29 days. I ordered on 02/08/22 and received the order on 31/08/22. I've ordered from AliExpress (China) and had items shipped by sea that arrived more quickly. Communication isn't very good either. It's just emails to say there's a delay but no info on how long the delay is.

Was worried, but no issues

After reading some of the reviews here, I was hesitant to order, but they were the only supplier of a type of German Christmas crafting paper I really wanted. So I thought I'd try it and after my order tracking didn't update for a few days I contacted customer service. They got back quickly and told me to wait a bit longer. It arrived the next day! (11 days from placing the order, which is acceptable I think).
I'm not sure why so many are having issues, but I did not.
