Great service today from the team, we went in for a rego inspection on a car we have just bought; they did a really thorough inspection of the car and gave some recommendations on a few other things to be fixed, not related to rego. Appreciated them pointing it out, and giving the car such a through go-over - always nervous when you buy a second-hand vehicle on what might be found, their reassurance was great.

Disappointing Service Experience

I recently booked a MAJOR service for my Kia Sorento through mycar's online booking system and paid in advance . Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the overall experience.

During the collection of my vehicle, I received little to no feedback on the service that was completed. There was no clear explanation of what items had been inspected, nor was I provided with any information regarding the condition of important safety components such as the tyres and brakes. For a major service, I would expect a comprehensive report and a discussion of any issues identified or stuff to be mindful of etc.

In addition, the vehicle was not returned in the condition I left it. There was rubbish left inside the car, the driver's and passenger's seats had been adjusted and not returned to their original positions, and I noticed stains on the floor mats.

While the service may have been completed mechanically, the lack of communication, absence of a detailed inspection report, and poor attention to vehicle care significantly detracted from the customer experience. The invoice sent to me by email indicates that the regular engine Oil Change while the labour cost 65% of the total cost of this service. I hope mycar can improve its quality control and customer communication processes in the future. Cheers

I am extremely happy with the service I received from the guys at Charnwood mycar Tyre & Auto. The Manager was very helpful in describing what I needed to have done, there was no “you’ll need to spend thousands” attitude, he went through the service product and kept expectations at the right level. I would thoroughly recommend this centre to anyone seeking a great for value service on their car. With all of this the Manager was Great. The premises was also very clean, normally a sign of mechanics who take pride in their work and their environment.

Once again I have been thoughly happy with the work carried out. They were professional and good on feedback on the work that they did with an itemised list of what they fixed on the vehicle. I would definitely recommend this particular company to my friends and colleagues. The car is definitely running alot better and is now a pleasure to drive. Hamish, was both pleasant and informative about the condition of the vehicle and clearly covered future work that will be necessary in the next service.

I can't recommend these guys highly enough. They helped me out when I found myself in a really complicated situation with my car and needed to get everything sorted for registration and a roadworthy. What could have been a very stressful process was made so much easier thanks to their professionalism, knowledge and willingness to help.

The whole team was friendly, patient and genuinely cared about finding a solution. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was sorted quickly and smoothly.

Had my rego inspection done yesterday at mycar Tyre & Auto CE Charnwood and honestly couldn’t fault the service. Staff were professional, easy to deal with, and explained everything clearly without trying to upsell me into bankruptcy via “urgent” air filter replacements. A rare modern miracle.

They got the inspection done efficiently, communicated well throughout the process, and made the whole rego process far less painful than dealing with government paperwork usually is. Really appreciated how straightforward and respectful they were. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing an inspection or general mechanical work in Canberra.
