Organised a 3 week self drive holiday in Canada for September 2026 with MyCanada. Cheryl from MyCanada initially phoned us after we contacted the company. We didn't feel under any pressure and Cheryl was clearly knowledgeable about the country and gave some excellent advice. We booked the whole trip with her, including excursions. The trip ran seamlessly. Any problems we did have were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Recommended

The booking process was super easy with Julie. She spent time to tell us about every day of our holiday so that we know exactly what to expect. We recently returned from our 'trip of a lifetime' to Canada and Alaska combining crossing Canada from Calgary via Banff and the Rocky Mountaineer to Vancouver then to Seattle and a cruise to Alaska on the Queen Elizabeth.

There were some omissions that would have made the trip absolutely 5 star.

The hotels and the trips selected by the company were generally exemplary and included all the key things that we had requested to be included in our itinerary. The ability to utilise the experience of the company's staff to plan exactly the journey that we dreamt of was extremely important to us.

The omissions I allude to are related to transport between hotels and coaches or coaches and hotels. We also felt that there could have been further guidance on directions at the airport and towards required paperwork for border crossing, Contact from the company when we were away just as a gentle check would have been appreciated.

There were some personal safety issues in some of the main cities that need to be highlighted. Vancouver has areas that are pretty worrying at night and Seattle had a shooting overnight near our hotel with fatalities and there seems to be an issue with drug related violence there. We were very naïve about this situation.

I would have appreciated a more detailed booklet about our journey to be forwarded prior to departure as I found the on line information difficult to access past the quote stage. It is quite important to be absolutely certain the details are correct regarding airports etc before finalising the booking. We ended up travelling quite some distance to a return airport instead of using the local one.

The website is very user friendly and helped us choose the right trip for us. Cheryl helped us tailor make the trip of our dreams and knew so much about each part of the tour she was so reassuring. Se kept in touch by text regularly and went over and above- thank you.

Detailed knowledge on where we wanted to go, and what we wanted to do. Managed to get all the elements in chronological order and within budget.
