Where do I start? I ordered a 20” deep pan pizza. Arrived 1hr after order. Arrived stone cold and thin crust. I rang customer services to complain was confronted by a rude customer services representative who stated that there is no such thing as a 20” deep crust pizza giving me some made up story of the reason they do not create a 20” deep crust pizza stating how difficult it would be for them to create a deep crust that size as they couldn’t stretch the dough that much ( did not make sense) though I told him on their website it DOES give an option for a 20”deep crust pizza. Instead of humbling himself he proceeded to tell me it was a glitch in the website and that it should not have given me the option of a deep crust. I told him “ well that’s not my fault as the customer “ he became defensive saying that someone will call me back to discuss the complaint further. Someone did call me back however after a few seconds he disappeared then the call dropped. I tried calling him back and the phone rang out then the call dropped again. This happened twice so my daughter had an idea to call of a different number and the call was immediately answered. I challenged the customer service guy about how come my call wasn’t being answered when I called on my own number but answered when I called on a different number at which he became defensive stating that he was not discriminating between calls (liar). He then again said someone would call me back again. Somebody did call me back however the person named Umair who I spoke to offered to send me another 20” pizza. I told him that I did not want another 20” pizza as the one we received I was not happy with but low and behold he said he could send me a deep pan 20” pizza. I told him I was told you cannot do deep crust for that size at which he said that was not true and that they do a deep crust version of 20” so the customer service guy I first spoke to was lying. I refused to have another pizza delivered and requested that they refund me half of the money as a way of compensation. Umair stated that he would call me back. The call never came. Big Johns staff have demonstrated that they have no integrity and are charlatans. The reputational damage caused by their staff members is harming the business. They have no interest in creating a positive experience for their customers in fact they go out of their way to create a negative experience. Their egos will not allow them to admit when they are wrong. I have spent hundreds of pounds at big Johns over the years but I certainly will not be wasting another penny at this establishment. This establishment is all fur coat and no knickers.

THE STEAK HAS BEEN OVER SEASONED AND TASTE LIKE PURE SALT AT SEVERAL DIFFERENT LOCATIONS

The place is dirty when I went in, I asked for a burger meal they priced everything up individually, you don't get choice of what salad is available for the burger, when asked can change cucumber to jalapeños they refused and said no only salad available is what's on the list already, however they have it for pizzas and other things, rubbish food from a dungey place run by greasy collage students run off there feet

Just DON'T DO IT!!! Worst New Year's Eve meal! Passed by on New Year's day they were closed, so I called today. Rude Jude says oh ok. That's how she feels about it. Never have I ever had a burnt bread Big John's. And probably never willhave one again. Thanks for helping me save in 2025. Hope that made you rich, spend careful.

Very disappointed with the new Quinton branch, food was below average, 3 portions of popcorn chicken all rammed in one box and didn’t look like we had enough. The chips I ended up throwing in the bin, they were raw. I called to complain and the guy kept interrupting me and wouldn’t let me speak. He asked me to go back to the store which I wasn’t going to do, due to the bad weather we’ve had, so I said I’d put them a review instead. Not great food nor customer service.

Think Prison food on Mars. Serves disgusting food from outlets that are in the most convenient locations.

Delivery didn't arrive, no call to say there's an issue, they have my mobile number, couldn't contact them after 2 hrs of trying. Sat night and you don't know if you should order elsewhere just in case they turn up. Nice one! luckily ordered on Barclaycard so will get a refund. Sorry to my missus for suggesting this place, went to bed on empty bellies. Anyway i'm sure my loss of business may not affect them

Bought 4 kids to garrison lane big johns after a lovely play session, kids loved the food, we had saver menu food and it was more than enough.
Customer service was great, staff were super friendly. We had tables put together by a lovely staff mrmber Amin to sit us all together. Thankyou for a great experience 😊

Big John’s Langdon St. One star is for the chips which were really tasty. As for the pizza 🍕WHY, would any company that values itself and its customers offer processed chicken and beef on its menu??? If I wanted low class cheap processed rubbish, I would’ve made it at home with some cat food. And they weren’t cheap either! I wish we’d made the effort to drive down to Caspian (the Small Heath branch doesn’t do deliveries) instead. Even Alum Rock road shops do real chicken pieces on their pizzas. Also chose deep pan, which wasn’t that deep. Garlic herb sauce was as disappointing as the pizza. My home made garlic sauce is a hit instead. Just crush a clove of garlic until it’s like a paste and add to hellmans mayo and pinch of salt 😋 The cheese burger had so much sauce on it, I couldn’t taste the patty. Really disappointed. Delivery was earlier than expected (used Deliveroo). The food was packaged beautifully. Shame the contents were a let down. Why not take pride in your business and offer the best you can? It’s law in our household now to never order pizza or burgers from there again. On the other hand their Peri Peri chicken, potato wedges, and chips are superb. Please bring all your food to higher standards BJ. The let down was just too much to ignore.

Disappointing! It took nearly 2 hours to deliver the food and the customer service are rude and liars

Usually have freshly cooked cod to order or chicken from here which has always been brilliant. However me and a friend decided to try the chicken kebab meat with chips tonight. At first glance the food looked good with generous portion.
At first taste of the chicken I was confused. The mixture of spices was strange and they did not compliment the chicken. As I have eaten chicken kebab in several countries I have never tasted this combination of spices.
Will definitely be sticking to the cod and fried chicken in the future

Ordered a veggie burger at the till, the menu said it would come with relish and salad. Person on the till asked if I wanted mayo, I said no. I noticed my receipt said Add Mayo on it so I went back to the till to ask them not to put mayo on it. They said I had to say so when first ordering and I said that I did. They then give me the box, me thinking they've amended it, I get home to a burger full of mayonnaise with no salad, no relish, nothing: just a burger and bun on its own. I never asked them to remove the salad or relish. I called up to complain, the person spoke over me before I could finish explaininh and said he would give me a free burger but when I asked how I would show it was me he hung up on me. Won't be going back.

I been to hallgreen branch today , Iam regular customer, I ordered two 9 inches pizzas, large chips and a pizza slice and chips, the guy who work in pizza section he said only 4 toppings allowed, my concern is there is no written sign in shop and even online there is no limit of toppings, they made this restriction their self, I was very disappointed with their service

Writing this at 3:24 AM, and have not received an order placed at 11:45 PM, DESPITE them updating the tracker at 2 AM to say it’s on its way. (It was ONE pizza)

Also phone line just rings out.

Never ordering from Shirley branch ever again.

Used the west Bromwich drive through to order 2 fish and chips. £21.90! Was Told to drive round to the front of the shop and wait. 10 minutes later, my order was brought out. When we got home the chips were hard, and had a plastic consistency, the fish was flavourless, and dried up. It wasn't freshly cooked. I'm very disappointed I wasted my time and money. Won't be using again, and certainty wouldn't recommend.

Poor Experience at Big John’s Chicken

Dear Big John’s Management,

I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment with a recent experience at your Hall Green, Birmingham location on the 6th of August. My friends and I visited your restaurant, and unfortunately, the quality of the food we received was extremely subpar. This was not the first time we encountered issues at your establishment; during a previous visit, the food was not freshly cooked, and the chicken was served warm, not hot. This having told the order handler to take his time and not rush the food.

However, the most recent visit was particularly concerning. Not only did the chicken taste off, but all 3 of my friends suffered from severe diarrhea for several days afterward. They noted after the meal that the chicken appeared undercooked, which raises serious concerns regarding the hygiene and food safety practices at your restaurant.

This experience has left us deeply disappointed and worried about the standards maintained at your establishment. We expected much better and feel let down by the situation.

I urge you to take this feedback seriously and conduct a thorough investigation to prevent such incidents from happening again. We would appreciate a response outlining the steps you plan to take to address this matter. Failure to do so will result in me to express my experience in a negative way across social media.

Awful service

Terrible customer service. Ordered a stuffed crust 16 inch XL pizza from here, when asked for the free complementary dip (usually get garlic & herb at papa johns or dominoes for free) the Rep out right refused and said we charge for all dips including ketchup and Mayo. How cheap could a fast food establishment get! taking advantage of customers just because they can for profit.. as for the pizza, the toppings fell right off the slice as soon as we lifted it, which expalins the poor hygiene of sweetcorn and chicken bones left on most of the tables. Maybe y'all should learn how to get that right before you decide to charge extra prices for dips.

Absolutely worst place now in Birmingham charging people extortion prices for cheap rubbish watered down drinks with the meals which you have to purchase with his very small uncooked meals this place needs to be closed down if I’m honest terrible experience and staff just as rude
