Stock levels are terrible

Stock levels are terrible, aswell as stock allocation. I’ve had multiple prescriptions changed due to medication not being available!!!!

Edited for reply, shall we not forget changing of price after it being prescribed

Late delivery of medical cannabis .

Very bad experience with the agents on the calls, i ask for a manager then im refused and hung up on. A late prescription that was wrong then the late delivery by royal mail. Now no medication till monday when they decide to deliver even tho i work till 5pm and post office shuts at 5. Reason why i need it delivered on a sat. Im leaving this company to goto a better one. Royal mail is responsible for my medication wtf at least use a decent delivery company. Iv been struck off from alternaleaf and montu i need to find alternative to this bad company. I would not recommend dealing with this company. From the hour long queue on the phones to be hung up on and refused a simple right to speak to a manager, i lost the plot at the agent but not before they refused me to speak to a manager and i warned them i would start. Pathetic from a company that i pay to use. Without the customers you have no business remember that. Had a manager call back from montu since Thursday 10/7/25 now the 15/7/25 no reply or acknowledge of complaint thats illegal.

Unreliable and Misleading – Not Suitable for Chronic Pain Patients

Montu has been incredibly disappointing as a pharmacy provider. Every time I’ve found a medication that actually works for my chronic pain, it becomes unavailable the moment I try to reorder. This has happened repeatedly, and the alternative products offered are not even remotely similar — making continuity of care impossible.

I was told Montu offered better availability and consistency than other services, but that simply hasn’t been true. For patients with chronic conditions, medication is not optional — it’s essential for basic quality of life. The lack of transparency and frequent stock issues have left me without the only effective treatment I’ve found, and no realistic alternatives.

If Montu cannot reliably supply the medications they dispense — especially for long-term patients — that should be clearly communicated upfront, not discovered when people are desperate and without options.

I would strongly caution anyone with chronic health needs against relying on Montu. Their inconsistency has caused unnecessary pain, stress, and serious disruption to my treatment.

UNACCEPTABLE Service – Medication Lost, No Proper Resolution, Health Impacted

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Montu regarding my prescribed medicinal cannabis.

I placed an order on 25/06/2025, provided my correct and confirmed delivery address and format, and after more than 10 days of no delivery, I had to chase them multiple times. Royal Mail then confirmed the parcel was lost. I had to initiate the complaint myself, and despite the urgency of this being a prescribed medication, Montu failed to act with any proper urgency or care.

I was told I would receive a call by the end of Friday to discuss a resolution — that never happened.

Eventually, they processed a refund without even asking if I wanted a replacement, which I clearly requested in my formal complaint. Worse still, my prescription was cancelled in the process, meaning I now have to go through the hassle and delay of reapplying for a new prescription, delaying my treatment even further.

This is a serious medication, not a casual purchase, and the way Montu has handled this is unacceptable and unprofessional. Their lack of communication, failure to follow through on promises, and mishandling of something as sensitive as prescribed medicine is deeply concerning.

This experience has left me without my essential treatment and triggered my health condition further due to delays and stress.

I expected far better from a company operating in the medical cannabis space. I hope they seriously reflect on the duty of care they owe their patients.

I have all evidence of this too. Avoid.

I am New Customer with Alternaleaf and…

I am New Customer with Alternaleaf and Montu Pharmacy, i joined before i read all these reviews and so panicked thinking i would have a bad experience but it has been the complete opposite.

Everyone i have spoken to has been friendly, helped me work out issues like changing/confirming my address the same day my 1st prescription was being shipped or changing/adding to my existing prescription which only took 3 working days to do.

my 1st 2 orders came next day like they stated and i've got my 3rd order coming tomorrow! hands down a great experience overall! i would and have been recommending people to join. My brother has taken my advice and signed up!

Just wanted to leave a quick note of appreciation for Montu Pharmacy and the service I received.
I placed a repeat prescription on Tuesday, and by Thursday evening, everything was already processed and ready for payment. I was honestly very happy with how smoothly and quickly everything went — much faster than I expected.
So thank you, Montu, for the efficient turnaround. It really makes a difference.
Now onto the flower… 🔥
I received Garlic Cookies, and let me tell you — it’s absolutely top quality. The buds were fresh, well-cured, and not too dry at all . Aroma, texture, and effect were all spot on. Honestly, I’m really impressed with this batch.
I've seen mixed opinions online about this strain, but from my personal experience, this was top-shelf medication — smooth, potent, and genuinely helpful for managing pain.
Overall, I’m genuinely pleased with both the product and the service. I’ll definitely be sharing more feedback on future orders as well — especially when the quality is this good.

10/10 pharmacy

I've used this pharmacy for around 4 months now with 0 issues at all, they have always delivered my medication within the timeframe given on their website.

I called the other day for advice because I had broken my cartridge, I didnt know what to do next. They contacted my clinic on my behalf and handled everything for me. 10/10 service!

Delivery is too expensive was told on sign up that there would be discounts for people also when ordering my script the prices keep going up after putting on my script shouldn't be allowed looking at other pharmacy's now was a breath a fresh air at first now just seems like there money grabbers and only care about profit.

Uniquely awful customer service.

I am currently a patient who uses this pharmacy. Unfortunately what they are doing to me with reference to TWO faulty vape cartridges over TWO prescriptions should be known by anyone who might use the pharmacy,
Over a month ago I ordered Aurora two vape carts. One arrived broken and did not fit the 510 thread battery as described it would do. I told them. They asked for a video clip. I sent it clearly demonstrating the difference between the cart that fitted the battery and the one that did not. They then asked me for dates that they could collect the broken cart, I gave them three dates as requested. I then heard nothing again. I think this may have happened twice with the first faulty cart.
The time came to order my next prescription. I ordered the same two vapes carts in the hope that the previous faulty cart was a one off issue. Yet again one arrived faulty and the other was fine. I wrote again. I was given an insincere apology about them ignoring me the first time, informed that it wasn’t done deliberately as I suspected, and told the staff member who was dealing with my query had left the company, which is a convenient excuse. I was and asked to do the same as previously. I sent another video clip . “ thank you for the clip, give us date to collect this cart and the other faulty cart” I did that while also offering to keep the broken carts ( I figured out a way to access the medicine despite it being very awkward to do so). I told them that if they prefer, they could offer me a reasonable discount and they don’t have to go through the evidently impossible task of arranging to collect the carts after the dates are provided to them.
They offered be a 10% discount. My orders are around £200 so this would equate to £20 off my next order. The broken carts cost £66 each! The discount was turned down in favour of taking up the option of returning the carts, then inspecting them even further and then either refunding or replacing.
Now they will not answer my emails. Has the second staff member dealing with customers left too? Are my faulty cart emails making staff instantly leave the company ?
I was never rude or impolite and I write very formally.
I feel like I am dealing with street people with this pharmacy. Hustlers who have no experience in customer services. This is not what I was expecting.
The carts were twice proven to be faulty and yet they are not behaving like any professional pharmacy I have ever dealt with in thier response to my issues. I buy medication for severe neck and back pain. A month after sending me faulty medication, they still have not sorted this out. Yes, a month. I am considering changing my doctor and pharmacy to anyone I find that might be more respectful and professional. Surely there is a case for medical malpractice. I will be looking into that.

UPDATE- I should say someone contacted me and apologised and finally refunded the money for the faulty carts and offered a 10% discount. Fine. A bit late and still asking for me to arrange a collection of said carts though. You don’t get four chances Montu. I agreed three times and replied with dates. Enough is enough don’t you think?

They would be better of without customer service

Firstly when I signed up I followed all the steps but montu delayed my prescription as they didn't reply to my email for a week and I had to constantly chase them. They sent a broken product with glass smashed and I have been trying to get a replacement for around 6 weeks without luck and barely a response, now been trying to get a refund for around 2 weeks and once again montu customer service does not respond. They respond after 3 emails and after a few weeks at most. I have fibromyalgia and have been in a lot of pain without medication now thanks to montu, wrote a complaint and it wasn't even acknowledged!! What a joke of a company, alternaleaf is not even the problem but I have had to leave them and their great customer service as they unfortunately use montu as a pharmacy.

Iv been with them for almost a year now…

Iv been with them for almost a year now and id rate them "9 out of 10". The website is easy to navigate, also offers loads of information about MC. The service for me has mostly been exemplary and any questions or concerns i had were dealt with swiftly and without fuss. I HIGHLY recommend. I WISH id known of them YEARS ago.

I was with releaf but their…

I was with releaf but their subscription is £40 a month so came to alternaleaf as it’s £10 a month subs.

Had initial appointment with pharmacist. Then the doctor a week later. Both lovely people. after seeing the doctor on the Monday my prescription was ready on the Thursday but was after 3.30pm so was sent out Friday. Arrived next day Saturday.

After reading other reviews here I was dubious all would be ok, but everything is all good at present. Hope this level of care and service is consistent. I’m very happy with alternaleaf and will be sticking with them. Thanks

After some time of being with Alternaleaf the service is outstanding the staff are really nice and care about you and leave you feeling completely comfortable on the phone with a happy attitude and care and understanding I have made a few mistakes with my order and they where so helpful to fix it for me under short notice go above and beyond to help you. As the the medical side you can definitely notice the difference from the rubbish you buy off the street that gives u anxiety and and a poor high and left feeling like you need to smoke more because it's 100% clean I feel less depressed started doing more and focusing with my day time smoke I've caught up with appointments house work even opening the blinds every day and started to get out ALOT more and feeling chilled focused even my back pain the night time smoke as well helps me sleep am not up all night vaping rubbish smoke I've had the best sleep in years and not up all night till 4am the quality of the medical cannabis is unbelievable I've been a bored and this medical is just as good if not better the packaging is amazing and if you take into account how much that must cost to do show the care and pride they take in what they do I can honestly I feel so much better in my self and more out going and socializing more it helps with my ADHD as well better than any tablets and my depression is not as bad as you kno some street stuff you just don't no what ur vaping I can tell a massive difference if your thinking dose it work I have other issues as well and what an amazing thing to have to help people

customer service,especially…Thomas helping

Excellent customer service,especially Thomas who went out his way to check if my chosen bud was gamma or beta irradiated.My only gripes with Alternaleaf are their pharmacy show “no new requests “or sold out whist my friend on memedica has no such trouble and I ordered/paid before 3.30pm and it took 2 days to arrive and although I was reimbursed the £9 delivery charge I would rather have had it next day. Lastly I don’t understand why the company have raised the prices on most products as I think they charge plenty already. Good when good and bad when bad;especially the prices

Pharmacists aren't knowledgeable, Product is often poor. Tons of stalk, inconsistent quality, stock shortages, frequently upsell one of their own brands.

A mixed experience. The medicine itself is life changing, it is the only thing that has helped chronic pain, anxiety and depression.

Montu though are lacking massively unfortunately. Constant stock shortages Pharmacists aren't knowledgeable, Product is often poor. Tons of stalk, inconsistent quality and when you ask them for their advise they will always upsell one of their own brands.

I recently told the pharmacist that I was looking for anxiety relief. 

I find there is very little guidance in my appointments and I have had to do lots of research myself. I am working out what terpenes work for me. I have been a patient for 6 months and not once has the doctor or pharmacist mentioned terpenes which is unacceptable.

I am always asked what I want. I do appreciate the freedom but I am also paying for your service as a medical professional. 

With this in mind, I asked 24 hours after my consultation to make a minor change to the prescription

This was a vape cartridge, both the same brand and strain, but one has CBD, the other zero. Given that I told the pharmacist that I was looking to alleviate anxiety, they really should have suggested the one with CBD instead of asking what I wanted. Ultimately, the decision is mine, but this needs to be based on some guidance from the medical professional.

At this point I have not paid for the order so
expected a sympathetic and helpful response. This is what was received.

“I noticed in the portal that item A has been ordered, and it matches the notes from your appointment. Since the prescription has already been issued, it is improbable that we can rewrite it unless the item is unavailable”

So, in summary ‘computer says no’
 
This is a medical prescription, I am not see using the product recreationally. It is paramount that I am given the medication that I require. More harm can be done with the incorrect medication.

The alternative would be to use a medication that is very likely to cause panic attacks. This would appear to be what Montu would recommend.

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service! I have seen other people having issues with Alternaleaf and Montu but I’ve had a breeze with them so far. Just had to report a defective vape cart and they were so helpful! they’re currently awaiting a response from supplier but have made sure I can get medication in the meantime.
