Monarch Transport hires third party contractors to deliver your motorcycles with fake insurance certifications. Beware!
I paid Monarch transport to move three of my motorcycles from Michigan to Nevada. One of my motorcycles, a new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4 400 track bike was dropped and damaged during the course of transport and delivery. I have full documentation and photos showing the motorcycle when pickup up and when delivered. It is undisputable that the transport company damaged the motorcycle. Monarch is pointing the finger at AL1990 the delivery company who they contracted to transport the motorcycles. I was provided with there insurance certificate. I contacted the insurance company that told me that the insurance certificate is no good, a fake. The validation number on the certificate is missing, meaning that it was never purchased and therefore not valid. Nobody is taking responsibility for my damaged motorcycle and I am the one that is showing the burden of proof with documentation and photos. However, they will not make payment for the damage caused to my motorcycle during transport. They are trying every trick in the book to weasel out of the responsibility. I am spending huge amounts of my time and money just trying to get them to own up to their responsibility. I would recommend that anyone that is considering Monarch Transportion in the USA to reconsider and make sure they do business with a reputable company and Not Monarch. This is one of those situations that you hope you never get in. Everything was done properly on my behalf and now I am having to jump through every hoop trying to get them to make good on their promises of being fully insured. Do not make the mistake I did and hire Monarch transport. I am writing this for your benefit. Thank you.

We are sorry to hear about your experience, and we would like to clarify the facts for anyone reading. Monarch Transport Group is a federally licensed auto transport broker. As clearly stated in our Terms and Conditions, we do not transport vehicles ourselves, but instead arrange transport with insured motor carriers.
For this shipment, your motorcycles were assigned to AL 1990 LLC, a carrier we have worked with successfully on many prior occasions. Before dispatch, we obtained and provided you with a Certificate of Insurance issued directly by the carrier’s insurance agency, Alera Group/Bondar Insurance Group, showing active liability and cargo coverage at the time of your transport
This certificate is legitimate and verifiable.
When you reported the damage, we promptly sent you the COI and detailed instructions on how to file a claim with the carrier’s insurer. This is the correct process per federal law and industry standards, as the carrier’s insurance—not Monarch—covers in-transit damage. While we understand the frustration, claims require the customer’s participation in providing documentation and following up with the insurer.
We want to emphasize that we acted in good faith by assigning a reputable, insured carrier and providing you with all the documentation necessary to pursue your claim.
