Stolen my money!

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the unacceptable delay in processing my refund. Despite multiple assurances from your representatives-including a conversation via live chat and phone with Steve that the matter had been escalated to your financial team, I have yet to receive the funds that are rightfully owed to me.
This prolonged lack of resolution is deeply concerning and is beginning to appear deliberately evasive. I am now giving your company a final opportunity to resolve this issue. If my refund is not processed and received in full by the end of this week, I will have no choice but to escalate the matter further.
This will include, but is not limited to:
Filing a formal complaint with the fraud investigation unit.
Reporting your business to the relevant financial authorities and consumer protection agencies.
Pursuing legal action for the recovery of my funds and any damages caused by the undue stress and inconvenience.
Please treat this matter with the seriousness it warrants. I expect written confirmation of the refund transaction and a timeline of when I can expect the funds to be received. Failure to comply will result in immediate escalation without further notice.

Charged over £400 in error, just the start of a very poor experience

Charged over £400 despite returning trial frames well within timeframe, but that was only one aspect of a very poor experience, with my glasses taking over a month and a half to arrive.

Had to chase repeatedly throughout for progress. As mentioned, was charged over £400 out of the blue with no warning, despite returning full set of trial frames well within time limit. Had to chase refund and order which had clearly been forgotten.

Glasses eventually arrived without a cleaning cloth and the lenses feel quite weak in the frames. Considering they were over £150 and were Mister Spex’s own brand (not designer), this was a ridiculous end to a shocking experience.

Very good minus one issue.

The Ralph Lauren prescription glasses that I ordered were perfect and my prescription was accurate, I got a 20% off code which I used and the price after that was extremely competitive. I even added Lotus coating (water resistance) for only £14 extra which was good. The clear lenses came with scratch resistant, anti-reflective coating as standard, and UV coating as standard (this is quite rare, UV coating isn’t offered by most opticians as standard on regular specs). Delivery was quick and came with a branded leather case. Later I also ordered Ralph Lauren prescription sunglasses, these were a great price too and again came with all the lens perks (I went for the green lenses, really nice! I didn’t opt for Lotus coating on these though as wasn’t as crucial for sunglasses), only issue is the frame had a mark on it and one lens was slightly ill-fitting, so I returned for a replacement, the replacement was fine but returns take forever to process as they get sent back to Germany so waited over 3 weeks for my refund (Hence 4 star review). Customer service is very helpful and pleasant though.

Tried to order frames to try at home…

Thanks to Mister Spex for your kind response. It does say on your website that customers can message you but there is nothing on there that enables that. Not even an email address. I can't communicate on the phone due to short term memory. I'm interested in buying your glasses but can't seem to get any further than your robot.

Glasses were never delivered

Glasses were never delivered. Royal Mail said Mister Spex didn't provide a clear delivery address. I've been charged for the glasses, haven't received them and Mister Spex customer service is non existent.
