Returned order, still charged. Avoid

Returned order charged and still acrruing fees on credit card.

Order was confirmed returned to Mister Spex according to their tracking on 13th August.
On 26th August I was charged over £1,000 for non returned glasses for Try-At-Home service.

I contacted live chat and they confirmed they'd received the glasses and a credit note had been issued on the 26th (convenient seeing as no movement since the 13th).

We're now at 1st September and I'm being charged credit card fees because the refund has still not been received. Customer service disconnected the chat. Avoid.

Horrific customer service do not use…

Horrific customer service do not use this brand. They emailed me after purchase to say they recommended upgrading the lenses to ‘thin’ lenses for £40 I said no thank you I am happy with classic and they confirmed would be just classic, they then shipped the lenses with thin and charged me for thin. When I asked if they could remove the £40 fee they incorrectly charged they sent me a return label to return. I told them postage fees should be waived due to their mistake and they just sent me the same AI chatbot response. Do not buy from here worst brand I’ve ever dealt with when it comes to specs. Plus the wrong glasses took 3 weeks to arrive form Germany not worth it at all.

Extremely poor experience

Extremely poor experience. I returned my glasses weeks ago, and although customer service confirmed three times that they received my return, I still haven’t been given a refund or even a proper confirmation. Every time I ask, I’m told “check back in 2–3 days” and that there’s an issue with Royal Mail (Shipment Department)—but nothing changes. No clear answers, no accountability, and no resolution. This is unacceptable and has wasted my time and money.

Erst Fehllieferung dann Storno

Statt der bestellten Sonnenbrille wurde eine komplett andere Brille geliefert. Online Retoure und Umtausch beauftragt. Nach mehreren Tagen und erfolgter Rücksendung beim Kundenservice angerufen und Umtausch wurde als Neulieferung beauftragt. Heute nach einer Woche plötzlich storniert von Mister Spex. Wirklich Null Service und sehr unzuverlässig.

The company took £400 out of my account…

The company took £400 out of my account after I had confirmation that my “try at home” trial pack had been delivered back to them. This was on top of the hold that they put on the £400 initially!!!
I spoke to customer services who seemed confused, blamed customs, said they would refund the money within 2 days, then emailed me to say it would be 8 days, eventually refunded the money 7 days later!! Every call or email blamed somebody else for the delay even after the representative had said this problem had occurred previously with UK customers.
And I found the glasses I wanted for a fraction of the cost elsewhere.

Ehrliche Kunden werden des Betrugs bezichtet

Ich schreibe selten Bewertungen, aber in in diesem Fall tue ich das. Ehrliche Kunden werden im Rahmen der Garantiezeit äußerst mies behandelt. Mir ist meine Brille beim ordnungsgemäßen Putzen direkt in der Mitte zerbrochen. Nach Schadensmeldung wurde mir "direkte und externe äußerliche Einwirkung" bestätigt bzw. vorgeworfen. Jetzt mal ehrlich, wäre mir da nicht eine bessere Ausrede bzw. besserer Schadensanspruch eingefallen? Auf jeden Fall wurde meine Schadensanspruch abgelehnt undzwar mit der Begründung, es liege keine Materialermüdung oder kein Materialfehler vor. Ich gehe mal bei diesem Ergebnis seitens Mister Spex davon aus, dass hochbezahlte Ingenieure das Gestell und den Kunststoff genauestens mikroskopisch untersucht haben. Hahaaa! Letztendlich, möchte ich mit dieser Bewertung nur ausdrücken, dass es mir nicht nur und uuunbedingt, um den Ersatz der Brille oder um eine finanzielle Erstattung geht, sondern, um die bodenlose Frechheit mir quasi Betrug vorzuwerfen. ICH werde bei Mister Spex nie wieder eine Brille kaufen und werde auch jeden den ich kenne davon abraten.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service, charged me £900 10 days after receiving the glasses back. Make sure you get tracking as they try to scam you out of the cost of the glasses! Blamed customs and after I logged a complaint (which you have to do in writing and can't be done on the phone) they still couldn't properly rectify the situation and replace all the money owed to me, I had to contact my bank. They don't report into any UK consumer standards or ombudsman- do not use this company. I certainly won't be again. Very rude on the phone and unhelpful.

Gleitsichtbrille - Falsche Gläserwerte

Ich habe eine Gleitsichtbrille gekauft. Meine Sehwerte wurden vor Ort in einer Mr. Spex Filiale gemessen. Leider konnte ich mit der Brille nicht richtig sehen und habe massive Kopfschmerzen bekommen. Die Gläser wurden 2 mal ausgetauscht, da Werte vom rechten und linken Auge verwechselt wurden. Beim zweiten Mal war die Sehstärke zu gering. Nachdem ich mit der Brille immer noch nicht zurecht gekommen bin, habe ich die Sehwerte der Brillengläser bei einem anderen Optiker ausmessen lassen. Hier kamen für die Gläser andere Werte heraus, als ich für meine Augen benötige. In der Mr. Spex-Filiale hat mir der Mitarbeiter, nachdem ich ihn auf die falschen Werte hingewiesen habe gesagt, dass ich nicht der Konkurenz mehr glauben kann als ihnen. Fakt ist, ich sehe mit der Brille nicht gut, deshalb scheinen mir die falschen Werte korrekt. Ich würde bei Mr. Spex keine Brille mehr kaufen. Die Brillengestelle sind sehr schön, aber die Optikerleistung ist nicht akzeptabel. Sollte Mr Spex dies ändern, kann man vielleicht wieder bei ihnen kaufen.
