SLIMY UNSAFE FOOD. Food was delivered on a Wednesday. Tried to eat the Malaysian curry on Friday. IT WAS SLIMY. I unfortunately ate two bites and was very confused. Thought there was maybe okra in it (nope). Checked the food-- white SLIME on the broccoli.
They REFUSE TO REFUND ME! I sent videos and pictures of the slime but they claim they can only give me a credit. Like I would ever trust them for safe and edible food again?!
DISGUSTING. Rotten business practices and rotten food.

Over the past several months (last December to be exact) I've had some of the worst experiences with food delivery services like Mighty Macros. They are not the worst, the worst was one of their competitors who sent me a bug in their food; that's a really high bar for terrible service, but somehow Mighty Macros still managed to come a close second just on their customer service alone.
The only redeeming factor is the quality of their food, because out of all the different services I've tried, theirs really is the best for the price.
But for me, when a company has a great product but doesn't have the customer service experience to back it up, it doesn't matter how great the product is.
The first problem I had with them was actually not with them directly, but with their delivery vendor, GLS. The initial delivery was delayed because they ended up mis-sorting it to a different part of California than where I was staying. It was a Saturday delivery that wouldn't make it to my place until the following Monday. I contacted their customer service desk through the website, and asked for a refund immediately because if the food was in transport longer than the next day, it would be spoiled by the time I got it. There was a bit of friction, but I got that processed. I called GLS myself later to have them dump the shipment so I wouldn't have to, and they agreed, but still delivered the boxes Monday, soaked in water from the melted ice packs.
I thought I was just unlucky, so I decided to give them another chance the following week because I was still curious about the food. Unlucky me, the shipment was again mis-sorted by GLS. This time, however, the Mighty Macros customer service team reached out and let me know that out of concern for my well-being, they were issuing a refund since the food would be spoiled by the following Monday when I got it. I paused my subscription, they apologize or the mix up, offer me some credits on top of the refunds if I ever return, offer to use FedEx for delivery the next time, and I moved on to a different vendor without having ever tasted the food. around this time I got my refund for the first order, and just waited for the second while I tried other services.
Fast forward a few weeks (now we're in January), and I ask about the status of my refund, to which the customer service desk replies that they've already paid that out, and send me a screenshot to prove it. I double check to make sure, but they send me the screen cap of the first refund that I initiated, not the second one, which they initiated. I send a reply back with the info I have, explaining that they're looking at the wrong refund. They apologize and say they'll get back to me. At around the same time, I restart my service and make it a point to reach out again to have them use a FedEx as the delivery vendor so that I can finally get the food on time and without issue. The customer service rep agrees and makes a note, but makes no mention of the credits I was supposed to receive. I should also mention that every time I reached out to their customer service I had to spend the time explaining all of this to them, as if they didn't have any notes of any prior interactions.
Finally, I get email notification that my delivery is on the way, but it's being delivered by GLS again; contrary to what I was told. I am concerned, but give them the benefit of the doubt since the shipment is en route already. To my surprise, it is delivered without issue so I don't have to reach out again.
Over the course of 2 months, I've made several attempts to get my refund from December. Sometimes letting a week, 2, or 3 weeks go by between interactions because of how frustrating it is to have to explain what's happened, over and over again. At one point, one of the customer service reps actually gave me the refund in credits after our interaction ended, so I had to reach out yet again and explain everything, so that I'd get the refund back to my card, not credits.
Today I canceled my subscription outright. Over the past several weeks, I've been dealing with a member of their management (February my case got escalated past the front line customer service employees). My first interaction with this person did not inspire confidence that the problem would be fixed either, came off a little abrasive. I get it, I've worked customer service, sometimes customers can be extremely demanding and unreasonable, so I didn't take offense to it if my problem got fixed. We went back and forth over several weeks, where I again had to explain what happened those first two weeks in December. When I finally got a refund, it ended up being half the amount because between December and January I downgraded from 21 meals per week, to 10. They didn't do the legwork in the investigation so I got a refund for the 10 meal a week plan.
To date the issue still hasn't been resovled

Skipped a week after my cc was charged, went to use credit I had and did not received my foods. Still waiting on a response to this, after I was told it should all be good to go.

Reliable customer service is a big plus. Food is pretty good and if a big convenience for me. Food sometimes doesn’t stay fresh throughout the week is a downside.

We are loving this service so far. I used to make meal preps myself and we have also tried many other companies, so I would consider myself picky. My husband and I are both huge fans. Macros are on point, tastes great, great options, no problem with delivery or packaging thus far (2-3 mo) and well priced. Because of all these things, we have given this company referral to 4 friends. Very cool, thank you!

The food is great, fresh, and interesting. The logistics and support to receive deliveries or to troubleshoot problems with deliveries leaves alot to be desired. I have had a really challenging time trying to work with the MM fulfillment team to get my food when a delivery has been missed. The communications around delays is nonexistent and trying to get my delivery to move to a different day resulted in multiple weeks of not receiving my food. The quality of the product is good, but the hassle of the delivery is almost not worth it.

I'm like any other person - I shopped around, looked at all the other meal delivery services, read the reviews. Some companies had lawsuits, others had very few menu choices, others took 30+ mins of prep time for each meal anyways. As I narrowed it down, Mighty Macros kept popping up in my searches, but when I read the reviews, I saw folks complaining about shipping, about meal size, about lack of flavor, lack of customer service, etc. It makes a man nervous, to be honest, but after all of my research, it seemed that a) Mighty Macros used quality ingredients and b) they were the only food service I could find that created its meals with macronutrient ratios in mind. I figured that with my job (I'm on the road a lot), even if the food tasted like flavored cardboard, it really wouldn't be all that different from eating plain chicken breasts and sweet potatoes on a continual loop. I'd even get some variety, and it would save me prep time.
So, I placed the order. It showed up, right on time, packed in a box and sufficiently cool, and guys, I'm not the kind of person to just throw out compliments but like... it is GOOD FOOD. The steak is actual meat, not scraps. The chicken doesn't have fat or gristle. The veggies are fresh, the portion sizes are on point, and like... it's actually GOOD FOOD. I microwave it for 90 seconds, stir, and throw it in for another 60 seconds and boom, dinner is served. I'm so impressed that I decided to order 21 meals/week - that's right, I think it's so good, so healthy, so worthwhile, that I'm gonna eat it 3x/day.

The food is great. Heat and eat with no clean up. They are filling. I have lost 5 lbs in a week on the Sculpt plan.

Generally terrible customer service. Food arrived unfrozen for the first time, support rep just listed the tracking info and my questions are still unanswered. Orders on hold, I’m looking at other vendors..

Well well well. Placed my first order and I've been waiting all day and it is now 9:26PM Mountain Time here in Phoenix Arizona and no delivery. The delivery time provided on the website is from 8AM-9PM and the date provided to me for delivery on the website and through email was today, Feb. 13. Also really hard to plan around a 13 hour delivery window. And not a lot of confidence when there is no shipping confirmation, tracking information or status updates provided at all. So, every couple of hours I would go and look for my delivery. There are other meal services out there you know. Their delivery thing is just not a good idea for Phoenix if I don't plan on staying home all day. I don't know that it's a good idea to run out for an hour in the Phoenix heat if the box is gonna be sitting outside in the sun. PS I've been getting my dog's fresh meals shipped for 3 years and totally satisfied with that. First world problems, I admit.

I love the meals. I’m down seven pounds now. I just with they had a few more meal choices. Like a few plant based meals. Like two meals with fake

I love Mighty Macros. They’re always adding new options and the quality of the meals, ingredients, and service are worth it. I love that I can quickly pack a healthy lunch or come home and have a healthy dinner after just a couple minutes in the microwave. Every week - on my doorstep - I receive fresh, unfrozen, preservative-free, organic meals and I don’t have to think twice about it aside from choosing which options I want to try that week. Highly recommend.

Great meals! Only wish the veggie meals would come back,but I was informed that they would once the COVID ended.
Sometimes my meals have to be replaced so they give you other meals, but I wish they’d give you the meal plan that you’re on and not another substitute.
That’s my only complaint. Delicious food!

Generally, I love Mighty Macros. Eating your meals has changed my life (for the better of course). But it is an almost continual hassle to be a member. You seem to have a knack for discontinuing MY favorite meals, just about exactly when I start ordering more than one each week. It feels like you are watching my menu selections. Shipments were lost a few times over the last three months. Each time forcing me to remember how to provide my own meals. Been stable the last few weeks. Hope it stays that way. I definitely want to continue purchasing your meals for the foreseeable future. Thanks for providing your service.

Most of the food is very good and I have only had a few meals that I didn’t care for. The part that has been a challenge is the packaging. The containers break easily during the shipping process and I have to double check them before putting them in the fridge. While I have been satisfied with customer service crediting me for broken meals, I am still missing a healthy meal option fir the week.

It’s been difficult to find a meal service that actually provides realistic numbers to achieve and maintain target macro goals. It’s even more difficult to find a service with amazing food offerings and tasty meals — all while tasting clean.
