Incorrectly fitted immersion coil
Metro Plumb (arranged via insurance policy) fitted our new immersion coil incorrectly and refused to come out to fix the issue. Insisted we raise a new claim with our insurers rather than simply come out to address their incomplete job.

I am of a vulnerable age and anxious by nature, so when my bath sprung a leak I was extremely worried. Two different plumbers came a long way to try sort it out, which was a very tricky indeed due to the fact the leak was hard to reach under my tiled-in bath with only a tiny hatch for access. It was Curt who cracked it in the end (fingers crossed). It helped that he is apparently very agile, and although I didn't note the second plumber's name (apologies) they were both equally pleasant to have in my tiny flat. Really nice guys, very good at their jobs, and they left the bathroom nice and tidy. Thank you both.

Ultra efficient and super friendly
Engineer (Liam) kept me informed as to when he would be arriving and did so when expected. Found the issue quickly and fixed it straight away. Even put the vacuum round once he finished. Great to chat too and learn more about why the issue had occurred and gave tips on making radiators warmer. Super friendly and highly recommended.

Plumber Andy came at 11;00pm o n a Saturday night.initial contact was through insirers, which was ok-ish - but s as soon as the issue was passed on I got a quick call, and response time estimate. Andy came, was calming, and sorted the problem he’s a credit to metroplumb!

Highly recommended plumber
Plumber Harry responded to our leaking pipe after the plumber organised by our insurance company said they didn't have the tools to fix a burst pipe!
He 'phoned within a few minutes and provided helpful initial advice and offered options for call out at our convenience. I was immediately impressed by his reassuring response and he arrived earlier than the agreed time, took one look and got on with things, effecting a full repair in about 20 minutes.
Harry was helpful and professional throughout, wearing overshoes at all times in our house and leaving everything clean and tidy behind him. Could not be more grateful for a prompt and efficient service or recommend Harry more highly.

Prompt efficient service.
Mick replaced a faulty Salamander shower pump for us under warranty. He arrived exactly when he said, fully inspected the system, replaced the pump and checked correct function. All work was done very quick and efficient with no mess. Very satisfied. Thank you.

Zero stars unavailable unfortunately. This was the company used by my home care cover 24/7 Home Rescue. Guy came out looked at the leaking toilet and couldn’t be bothered to investigate the leak and said he’ll just change the majority of the parts as the insurance will cover it. Did this and the leak was still present. Left the cistern not fully secured to the wall. Avoid.

No show plumber in an emergency.
Had an emergency plumber appointment arranged through our platinum home insurance due to water leaking through our living room ceiling and soaked upstairs carpets.
Meant to be here midday today - told we would be notified when on route. Got to 11.45 and hadn’t heard anything so rang the direct number to check.
To be informed the plumber supposedly had a car problem this morning! And wouldn’t be attending. No communication! How would the office staff not be notified if a plumber was now not working for the day and not attending booked appointments under emergency situations!! Shocking service. Just an apology and option to rearrange for Monday. Two days time with water leaking through a ceiling! Insurance companies aren’t wanting to wait around to see the problem get worse and more expensive and ether are the policy holders. Wouldn’t recommend this company.
Plumbers who don't carry spares in vans, don't call ahead as promised and don't replace like for like. Avoid!
These guys were used by Churchill Home emergency for a ruptured water softener pipe and stuck stopcock. Between them Churchill and MetroPlumb managed to take three days to sort a simple issue. The first plumber had a look took some photos and could not decide on the size of the stopcock but it wouldn't have mattered as he had no parts. Strange that a plumber does not carry stop cocks and hoses in his van. They had to quote to Churchill who rejected their time and materials quote as they only accept fixed price quotes. It was me who had to chase both organisations. Once approved I then received no notification as to when the plumber would arrive and whilst on the phone to MetroPlumb was told that plumber was less than 10 minutes away despite being told I would be called at least 30 minutes away. The second plumber could not fit the new stopcock so just replaced the spindle. Not really a replace like for like as per the policy.

If I could give zero I would had an plumber booked with metro plumb Taunton 3 times for boiler service and 3 times cancelled with various pathetic excuses if you have any sense avoid this company at all cost

Sam and Keiron from Metro Plumb worked very hard in terrible weather conditions trying to locate the small leak on my water supply pipe using all their accumulated knowledge, expertise and electronic water leak detection equipment. Unfortunately, due to the worst torrential rain I have witnessed in recent years, they were unable to find the small leak - this sometimes happens. The following day after the rain stopped, the two small holes in the pipe showed themselves and have since been temporarily repaired pending the whole pipe being replaced to future proof my property as the supply pipe us getting rather old.
The office staff were also very helpful, friendly and professional. Thank you Sam and Keiron for all your efforts in such difficult conditions.

Didn’t even attempt the repair
The lady at Hometree Insurance said I would receive a call from Metroplumb shortly. Having not heard from them after 3 hours I rang. I was told that the engineer was on another job and with me in 1 to 1.5 hours and would ring when on the way. I was happy with that. An hour or so later the engineer arrived having not rung but I could have lived with that had it not been for what followed. He rang the door bell with no tools in hand. I showed him the problem of a leaking pipe below the sink. I had turned off the stop cock to stop the leak which meant no water at all in the house. The man then said he would have to go phone his boss, commenting only that it looked like a complicated job. He came back ten minutes later to say that he would not be mending the pipe. All his job would be is to stop the leak and then the homeowner would have to contact their home insurance company. This was total nonsense of course. Hometree repair leaks I told him. He told me that it often happens that his company are called out for repairs but all they can do is isolate the water! And then he left me to phone back Hometree and tell them what had happened. When I chased it with Hometree his report said it would take several hours and could not be done for another 3 days. In the end I had to find another company who were here by 8am the next day and had the job done in just 25 minutes.
