This is regarding Farhan Ali who works in Croydon branch of Metro bank.
He provided excellent professional services to me on 06/03/2022 in Croydon branch. It took nearly 4 hours to unblock my cards and to make sure that my internet banking was working properly again. Ali was polite patient and very helpful. I wish that other members of Metro bank were like him.

I went in the branch today in Cardiff city centre I spoke to a gentleman I was with my partner at the time He just recently received his status of the UK and automatically assume that he could not speak English as I was helping him translate as the guy was using big words then the guy went on further to say that they do not open Account for people that could not speak English or understand English Personally I think that is discrimination as we are United Kingdom there’s people that speaks Welsh people that speaks Scottish Nevertheless there is people also that can be able to translate and then when I confronted the guy about it he was like well the only time that we can do that is if one of us can speak the language and will be able to translate it that he went on to say that they are not discriminatory which I reckon they he was being very sarcastic about it which I felt very insulted so I think that there should be When is on this matter as this people that are getting leave to remain in the UK as they are in danger in the country and we are choosing to not help them make their life easier Personally I think this is discrimination and should be looked into

Went to open an account today at metro bank hounslow branch, i was welcomed so openly. The staffs were friendly and I had the opportunity to deal with Miss Ruchira, who I must tell you is an absolute gem. She is a lovely lady. She made all my process hassle free, she opened my mobile banking and helped me so clearly with that. This has been a great experience for me. Absolutely recommending my friends to use this bank, great customer service guys!

I phoned this mickey mouse bank to report a what's app scammer who gave all his bank details and name trying to fool people into paying large amounts of money into their account. After speaking to customer no service and giving them all relevant information I was told to inform my bank even though my bank was not involved in any way shape or form and then they could start a review of the account after they received information from them. I told them I will be taking this further and I am not sure whether members of staff could be involved in the scam. Why else would they not block the guys account.

I had to upgrade my account this evening in the Basildon branch and was lucky enough to have been met by David......who had opened my original cash account 3 months earlier.... he remembered me and our previous conversations and couldn’t have been more helpful, After upgrading my account David set up my online banking and showed me in a clear and precise way how to use the app.

cashpoint failure to dispense £100
Im currently on the line trying to speak with somebody who can help with a cashpoint transaction yesterday..Tried to £100 cash out and only £80 received..and the last £20 note was only visible by the corner....Extremly stressful as contacted HSBC outside whose branch it was ...realising and thought was my barclay debit card...only to find out its my Metro bank card which i rarely use.....nightmare here, been cut off once already and now waiting after 1hr and 27mins!!!???? and counting im again on hold continually....IM going away tomorrow to wales for a holiday...i need to be doing much better things....BAD
Telephone customer service is rubbish.
Thanks to everyone who posted reviews. Both the good and bad reviews have been very helpful. The telephone banking service in my experience is shockingly awful. I very rarely manage to get any issues resolved over the phone -even straightforward requests like today when I tried to establish whether a routine direct debit had been paid. More seriously I had a faulty debit card that needed replacing urgently just before going on holiday and they were no help at all. Any queries I try to resolve over the phone are typically very poorly done. The very long waits before you can speak to customer service I put down to the impact of Covid 19 on staff numbers but once you get through to a staff member my experience is hard-faced incompetence. By contrast I echo what other reviewers have said about in-branch service. It is usually very good indeed and sometimes excellent.Most issues are resolved swiftly and with good humour. I use the Liverpool St Branch in London but I don't want to have to keep going into the branch to resolve every routine little quibble.Given the problems I've personally experienced I no longer trust them to use as my main bank. It's very easy to open a bank account elsewhere why put myself through the stress of sticking with a bad one. I certainly wouldn't do online banking with them by choice While I don't have plans to actually close my account ; they offer fee free withdrawals if you like to holiday in the EU, I will be moving my everyday banking to another bank. Occasional holiday banking is all they are good for. "When people show you who they are believe them" said Maya Angelou. Telephone and online banking at Metrobank are currently best described as 'rubbish' If these things matter to you bank elsewhere.
what do i do about this if it was an emergency?
my acount got blocked and when ever i ohoned the nunber to unblock it i was met with being on hold for over an hour.
i go go into the store to get them to unblock my card but apparently they cant do that in store and have to be put on hold aswell
this is greatly making me debate changing banks
Great customer service
I had to take in a considerable amount of foreign currency, Sterling and bags of small change into the Swindon branch of Metro Bank at around 1pm today, so it could be deposited into my account. This was a time consuming job and I was dealt with in a very friendly and efficient manner by the young lady cashier. This would not always have been the case with other high street banks.

I received first class customer service from Zahraa Janjua when i visited Metro Bank Edgware to open a bank account. I found Zahraa to be really friendly, helpful and above all professional. Zahraa is a credit to Metro Bank.
