LOVE IT

Sneaky subscription sign up by stealth not appreciated

The company were helpful and honest after I purchased on Thursday, only to recieve an email the next day announcing it was ‘20% off weekend’. They honoured a refund for the 20% for which I am grateful.

I too think the way subscription services are sneakily added to purchase is not clear enough and not in good spirit.

It should be made clearly evident that the discounted grooming items that are offered after you add the trimmer to your basket are an expensive 2-monthly rolling subscription with a hefty shipping fee, as I mistakenly understood it to be a complimentary gift with first purchase - NOT a subscription. I do t know how I missed this and believe it needs to be far clearer.

I have used subscription grooming services before from companies such as gruum who are very forthright about their subscription set up and I respect them far more for this.

Meridians method seems designed to catch subscriptions by stealth, rather than actively, openly seeking customers to clearly opt in and that is where Meridian could improve. Numerous reviews on trust pilot are reporting dismay at similar experiences so the company would be amiss to continue to ignore this.

Returned as an unwanted Christmas gift

Returned as an unwanted Christmas gift. When dropping off at Royal Mail they made an error in the postcode by adding an additional 2 in the postcode field. A tracked shipping method was used AND the street address and city were correct meaning the item would be delivered as it is an easy issue to resolve. However was told I am only eligible for a 50% refund as I had shipped to the "wrong" address. Company's wonder why they are losing so many sales to Amazon. With business practices such as this I'm not surprised. Spare yourself the financial loss and emotional drama by avoiding this company.

To receive a full refund, our customers should follow our return guidelines provided on our website and send their Meridian order to the nearest warehouse. Unfortunately, if the order is shipped to the wrong address and will not be delivered to one of our warehouses, according to our Return and Refund Policy, we are unable to process a full refund. These orders are only eligible for a 50% refund.

Great product, great customer service!

I love Meridian and use them for over 3 years. Best Razors for all around. Both me and my GF use them.
I got a new Razor today, recieved in a wrong color from what I ordered and the customer service was absolutely amazing!
Replying quickly and being kind and helpful, they send me replacement package.
The representative I talked with is Ana Paula.

The worst customer service

The worst customer service, absolutely appalling for such a large company. I somehow got signed up for a subscription which I never wanted with my first order. Instead of giving me a refund I’m forced to pay for postage to return or cop $80 for overpriced and unwanted product. Such a malicious and sly business technique to sign people up for subscription in such a sneaky way. Couldn’t be more disappointed by the lack of effort from the customer service team to keep a customer happy.

The razor is ok but not worth the money. So many better products out there and from companies who actually care about their customers

Dodgy company to avoid

As per other reviews here, this company slides a subscription to stuff you don’t need into a standard purchase. Sure it’s in an email they sent, but I don’t check the confirmation email when I buy something to check if the company are trying to cheat me. Cancelled their bogus £50 subscription, and will never deal with this company again. Dodgy as hell.

Missing items

Hello, my name is Oren, order #M725350
Part of the order was The Trimmer Plus, and it states on your website it comes with:
1. The Trimmer Plus with replaceable ceramic blade
2. Anti-nick adjustable guard
3. Cleaning brush
4. USB-C charger and charging dock

Everything arrived but without the replaceable ceramic blade, Which is quite important...

Waiting to hear back from you as I wish to start using your product I purchased and waited for.

Please be aware that our Trimmer Plus is equipped with a replaceable ceramic blade, not an extra replacement blade. The ceramic blade should be changed after the recommended three-month period to ensure optimal performance. We're sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused.

After I bought my shaver I was…

After I bought my shaver I was auto-enrolled into a subscription that took £43 from my bank account with no reminder. I reached out to Meridian before the subscription was dispatched so that it could be cancelled and I could get a refund and they told me they couldn't cancel or refund me. They informed me that I would have to wait until the order gets to me and return it (at my own expense) to their warehouse in order to get a refund. As well as being £50 down the whole process feels like such a waste of time.

The second star is because the shaver is adequate. It looks nice, the battery life is good but it doesn't shave close enough to the skin and I find I have to go over the same area multiple times for it to cut the hair.

Our subscription option allows our customers to enjoy their subscriptions on a "set it and forget it" basis, keeping their grooming routine uninterrupted. When an order is placed in line with a scheduled renewal date for an active subscription, our warehouse teams work quickly to process orders for timely delivery. If customers contact our customer support team, we will address the issue and assist with the return process for a full refund. Unfortunately, when an order is already in transit, we're not able to cancel the order.

Regarding the performances of our trimmers, please know that they can provide a barely-there look when using it without the guard (guide comb). It doesn't give a close shave similar to a razor, but it's safer and provides an enjoyable experience while avoiding nicks, tugs, and ingrown hairs!
