Another subscription con!

Another subscription con!
Along with many other customers who ordered i was unaware that I had been tied into some subscription. Which it doesn't clarify when you place the order.
2 months later I was charged 55€ for 2 products ( never worth that money)
I immediately emailed asking to cancel subscription and order as I didn't want it. They said they wouldn't be able to as it was already being prepared.... that's a lie as it took 2-3 more days to get an email to say it had been dispatched. Inefficient service.
I then had to cover the costs of return. 14€ to return to extremely over priced products.
Never again.

De skrev mig op som abonnent uden at advisere om det. Så sendte dig mig ting, jeg ikke ville have. Da jeg ville returnere påstod de, at jeg sendte til det forkerte varehus og derfor kun ville give mig 50 pct. refund, selvom jeg lige havde brugt 211 kr. hos PostNord på at returere. Elendig service og bondefangeri.

Excellent costumer service, answering and dealing with my questions promptly and efficiently. Very professional, clear and helpful. Got back to me to check if everything was ok. Very very impressed. I have not yet received the product - a slimmer trimmer. Will review here once I tried it.

Subscription issues

CS support was clear and factual, however - I’m extremely unhappy with the lack of communication prior to the subscription order being dispatched. There was no warning email or reminder, and I didn’t need the items at this time. Despite cancelling within 20 minutes of receiving the email notification, the order was still processed and sent out.

To make matters worse, if I want to return the items, I’m expected to cover the return shipping costs. This feels unfair.

Many other subscriptions give a fair warning so that things can be tailored.

I’m very dissatisfied with how this has been handled.

Shipment service can be improved

I ordered an item (#M750824). The item didn't arrive. While I do not appreciate that meridian doesn't use first class shipping companies (UPS, Fedex...) or at least provide this option with an extra cost, I do appreciate that they refunded me with the full amount.

Great quality products, defective tube

Ordered the shaver, and replacement head and the scrub came with as a subscription. Not sure I will keep the subscription as I don’t shave that often, and I don’t shave bare, so the scrub is not a big need for me. The scrub has a nice light citrus scent which is not too overpowering and I found it even milder than a regular orange which is great for me as I have scent sensitivity due to migraine. However, my first time using the scrub the bottle exploded on me and I lost about 4 tablespoons or more of product. Aside from this issue I found the products easy to use and I love the beautiful colouring and design.

The product is okay

The product is okay, but I didn't find it safe for the bikini area since the blades are not covered on the top, and the big head doesn't allow you to reach everywhere without getting hurt.

The worst part was that I didn't realize that when buying a set, you are signing up for a subscription!! I only realised that when I received the charge.
The set included a replacement blade; surely I don't need another one again after 2 months.

Placed an order

I have an original Meridian grooming product which is absolutely fantastic and needs replacing , a few years ago the buying experience was simple and straight forward . However last night , I Placed a new order , and selected a free gift with the product ( which was a replacement blade and shrub ) . I Was £4 short of free delivery so I added a mystery box , which was the cheapest item for £5 . In order to bring the total over the free delivery limit . However once I had entered my credit card details and passed shopify check . There appeared an additional £7 for delivery . Not only that . It appeared that the free gift . Suddenly changed to being a tied into purchasing replacement heads every 2 months . I didn't proceed any further with the purchase. However I have been in contact with customer services . It appears from other reviews others also have been caught out with this underhand practice. I dont know why the company would want to behave in this way. As the product is really great. I do hope they haven't processed my payment , and also Meridian change the way the operate . A purchase should be transparent and fair and honest.

Very sneaky be careful!!!

Be careful when submitting orders as the website will automatically select a renewal every 2 months for ‘discounted’ items and it’s in fine writing which is very sneaky.
2 months later once I was charged I emailed straight away to cancel the order and hopes for a refund to which they said the warehouse works very efficiently and it might not get cancelled in time. 2 days later my order was fulfilled and shipped I would assume that would be plenty of time to cancel a order apparently not.
Christmas gift turned headache! Never again

Horrendous quality, don't put them near water!!!!

I'm appalled by the quality of the clippers Meridian supply.
The first clipper I purchased failed after 9 months as the spring inside the clipper head rusted (yes, they are not compatible with water at all).
After a huge battle Meridian replaced them.
My second clipper failed and wouldn't charge despite the lights flashing.

Rather than have another argument I investigated myself and took the clippers apart. The motherboard is located in a black plastic box inside the clippers which is not waterproof. The root cause of my issue is that water ingress (again, keep them away from water) had corroded one of the legs on a microchip on the motherboard!

STAY AWAY IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A CLIPPER THAT WILL LAST MORE THAN 5 MINUTES!!!

We strive to create effective, high-quality, waterproof trimmers, and we're sorry to hear that the inside of your trimmer started rusting after nine months of use. Our trimmers are designed for in-shower usage, but we recommend cleaning and drying them with a soft, damp cloth and allowing them to dry thoroughly before storing them after each use to extend their longevity and maintain their performance. If more detailed cleaning is required, the trimmer, trimmer head, and replaceable blade can be dried with a soft, clean towel.

We're sorry that you were disappointed with the replacement process and assistance our customer support team provided. Following our policy, we ask our customers to send us a photo or a video of the defective item so we can make a detailed report of the defect and provide our customers with further assistance.

I bought machine five years ago and it’s still running exceptionally well. I recently purchased another one for my son. The new machine came with a body scrub, and both products are fantastic.

4 star gadgets

All my gadgets aren‘t bad, but I have a small problem with the skin of my trimmer. The Travel cases are confortable for the trimmer and other accessoires. My boxershort is really confortable.The gadgets for my hands and feets are really good. I can give a star for the mystery box, but it‘s maybe more for the women.

Major let down.

I bought this unit thinking it would live up to the hype. Yet, it left razor burn as well as pulled hair the way a two dollar razor would. After the job was done you wouldn’t know you used “an expensive, overrated razor”. Stick to the plastic disposable. Just as good a shave with the same outcome.

And, no. It is not the angle or user error (a suggested by manufacturer- see their reply) when it comes to shaving your pubic areas. I know how to shave. Been doing it for years now.
