Hidden subscription fees

The product itself is good, but I was subscribed to a recurring order without my consent. I purchased a bundle during a sale and had no idea that two items were tied to a two-monthly subscription. There was no subscription information shown at checkout or on my invoice. The only mention of a subscription came later in a follow-up email after the delivery was complete; an email many people wouldn’t think to check. By that point the renewal had already been charged, leaving no opportunity to cancel. I’m now disputing the charge through the company and PayPal, but wanted to warn others to be careful when purchasing.

I was skeptical at first…

I was skeptical at first cause the shipment took a while to arrive. Figured out it was due to the courier in my area . It gets the job done , nothing more than what it's promised to do. Affordable, portable, quite and efficient. Even after a recent malfunction, the support team rushed to my aid , they shipped a replacement right away and also sent me detailed instructions so that I don't screw up again . Very thankful, definitely worth it .

Honoured black Friday discount

I bought a product a day before the black Friday discounts hit and when I saw the discounted price I'd just missed, I asked if I could have the same discount, despite my order having been processed. I quickly got a response back and received a refund for the difference in price

I love the fun colors of the trimmers, great cut.

I love the fun colors of the trimmers. Design is important too! I have had another brand that sounds like a gardening tool. And it was fine too. I prefer this brand. I think it cut closer and left me less irritated when hair grew back
I purchased my second trimmer.
We needed a new blade and hubby accidentally threw it away so I bought another one
I’ve tried razors and trimmers. This one is my favorite by far.

I was signed up for a subscription…

I was signed up for a subscription without realising then recieved a notification to say that I had an order being sent out. I went to the website and tried to cancel the order using the cancle button however an error message kept coming up and I was charged and the items were shipped. I contacted customer service with photographic evidence and one week on i'm still waiting to get a refund. It was a small amount of money and is much needed. Products are good but customer service after is awful.

I love my trimmer

change monthly

I think for monthly should be more than 3 months. I'm a woman and I don't shave everyday like men. I would like to see 6 months. Why up to 3 months? Please change that. Thank you!

Scam

Tried to cancel order before it was packaged or shipped and was denied, then told I could get a full refund but hid details about a $10 restocking fee.

Torture device

Item never arrived.
Update - item finally arrived(box damaged). After fully charging, I proceeded to shave my chest…IT LITERALLY DID NOTHING (other than leave red marks all over my chest)! I then tried to shave more intimate areas and was left with nasty cuts and nicks. The worse part was that I didn’t shave any hair! Little did I know when I forked out over £60, that I was buying an instrument of torture! Current taking legal advice.

Best value, Best experience, Best trim.

Easy to buy, arrived fast for a non-Amazon package (2-3 Days), Product is spot on, does what is says and cuts hair really well. Zero fear I can hurt myself with it in anyway. IS a superior product and costs half of what Manscaped's lawnmower does.

Overall: Great Value, Better than other trimmers I've tried, and I got a surprise extended warranty in the box. So Meridian must back their product to go the distance which is reassuring.

shady subscription practices

Be extremely careful when buying, as discounted items or even "free-bes" they let you pick at check out, means you automaticallu get signed up to a subscription every 2 months.

There is no email given to you after notifying you about this, just tiny font when you pick your free be and again at check out... Something people can VERY easily overlook, as this is not a typical business practice and feels borderline illegal.

Canceling your subscription is even more convoluted, as you need to go to their website. Go to their FAQ and support, go to subscriptions, cancel subscriptions, sign in to your account, then press subscritions in the hamburger menu, input your email AGAIN to get a generated link in your email to ACTUALLY access your subscription and then finally cancel it after 3-4 slides trying to trick you into pausing it or keeping it.

You've been warned. Just for this I won't bither with them anymore. Real rating would br 0 if I could, but I want those browsing the "perfect stars" to be aware of this.

replacement blades covered in grease

I ordered replacement blades they were all covered in some kind of grease or oil within the package. After washing the blades and my hands profusely it was still sticky, I tried to go ahead and use it, blades didn't shave anywhere near the old blade I wanted to replace and made everywhere it touched greasy. I didn't go through with a complaint or return of the blades because I lost my trust in meridian and didn't want to deal with the hassle of correspondence and return. I will look for another brand.
