Visited McGuirks Leopardstown today to buy a specific item. Picked up the item and went to cashier area to pay. One of cashiers finished serving a customer and then proceeded to spend approx a minute re arranging some unwanted hangers behind the counter, while I stood there.. He was then about to walk away from the cashier area when he belatedly asked if I wished to purchase something. Dreadful manner by cashier and experience as a customer. Unfortunately quite typical of my experience in this store.

I went to McGuirks this Monday morning because I bought a PowaKaddy but within three weeks it had a couple of problems with it so I handed it back last week & it went away for repair but I had lost all confidence in the trolly so I wanted my money back or a replacement. I spoke to the manager & he said he was filling in as a manager for Gavin so Gavin was after getting married & I wish him all the best, anyway the manager that was replacing Gavin was very helpful & said they were very happy to replace the PowaKaddy with whatever golf trolly I wanted so I picked out a golf trolly & they ordered it for me. I must say I had a marvellous experience this morning & all of the staff were extremely helpful.

Just back from dealing with Celine in Mc Guirks Letterkenny who provided an excellent professional service. Very giving of her time and expertise, lovely to deal with a fellow female golfer.

Joe from Mc Gurks, Boucher Road, is the gold standard for how someone should be treated in a store.

Top class. Walked in to ask for a box .. left with a set of irons headcover and golf glove.

Shocking customer service. Slow and ignoring specific customers. Rude and distasteful staff making rude comments behind peoples backs spending hard earned money.

Despite categorically stating on their website that they price match they don't actually honour this. Garmin Z30 range finder €450 in McGuirks €380 on American Golf and a few others. Called two McGuirks stores they both refused to match the price! BTW Halpenny Golf did price match without and quibble. Used to shop exclusively in McGuirks, not any more!

Following a very disappointing purchase, for which I was left feeling I had no comeback on, I contacted McGurks head office who listened to my situation with empathy and resolved it very favourably. I have to really praise them for their reaction to my complaint. All sorted thank you.

Was recommended by my club to use McGuirks, after this I wont be back. Paid for an item in full on the 16th, and had to chase them on the 19th, as it was not dispatched. Was advised that they were busy but that my item would be dispatched on the same day. It did not . Really poor experience, if you advise a customers of when items will be dispatched and fail to do so, then its on you and your process. Wont be back, would suggest others avoid too. Shame.

Recently had a session with Nicky in Leopardstown on identifying a suitable set of irons. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. He afforded me plenty of time and at all times I felt my requirements were the priority rather than a sale.
The irons I bought have improved my confidence and subsequently my ball striking. Thanks Nicky.

Fantasitc after sales service by Davids team, expecially Ben and Fergal.
I bought a club in the McGuirks Golf Cork, but got no support on a shaft replacement but then I contacted this Galway store. The difference in the level of support between the 2 stores was like night and day. Ben was so helpful and got me sorted. Well done David and your team!.

Recently had to return something in the letterkenny store that was outside the return window. The guy in the store couldnt have done enough to help me and on the back of that ended up buying more stuff on the same visit.

Great service

Shocking customer service at 2nd hand store. Sales assistant grunted at me and I my the price. No hello, how's things, is that everything or no goodbye. The receipt says his name was Ross McCormack. He might need another class or two of how to deal with a customer. Lost another sale as I was looking to purchase more but was put off his 'above you' attitude.
I will not be returning and advising others to do the same.

Great Experience, tips, advice and good banter from the Guys. Rury, Scott and Jamie. Know there stuff and willing to help. A golfers golfers will certainly be back. A wee mention for Kiran also who's enthusiasm and willingness to help on a quick visit brought me back in for today's visit.

Had a great fitting at McQuirks golf in the Edinburgh store with Rory, great range of Driver,fairway heads & shafts.
Would highly recommend fitting & all your golfing needs.

I visited the Kinsale road shop last Sunday February 8th. I went to the sale rail and saw a nice ladies golf top that was on sale for 50% off. I brought it to the till and the young girl on the till asked for full price. I told her the top was reduced to 50% and she said no it’s full price. I brought her attention to the sale tag on the top. She shrugged her shoulders and said it’s not on sale on the system. I told her I’d leave it. She didn’t care. Her attitude was poor. She did not bother to check with a senior member of staff. I will not be shopping at this store again. I found her rude and very unhelpful. Not good enough and thankfully I have an alternate golf shop less than ten minutes drive away from McGuirks.

I was very impressed during a recent visit to the Edinburgh store. I had excellent service and advice from Scott, which led to the purchase of Taylor Made clubs.

Online ordering
First order I did was fine as it was click and collect.
My second order was online order delivery to my house.
Their website says orders placed before noon would be delivered next working day in most cases.
I ordered on a Wednesday between 5-6pm, expecting to get my order on Friday.
On Monday I checked the tracking and the order is still sitting with the courier and no update.

I contacted MCGuirks, they can see that my order has not been delivered and still with DPD. They implied that DPD hadn't delivered it because they couldn't contact me but I have been at home waiting and checking tracking details
When I requested a refund they said they have to request the package back from courier and once they get my order back it will be 2-3 days before I get a refund.

Going forward I will be doing click and collect and not online order for delivery based on my experience
