Mark Wilkins performed my corneal cross-linking surgery and examined my eyes in several subsequent follow-up appointments. He was friendly and helpful throughout, and my keratoconus seems to have stopped progressing completely since the surgery. I’m very glad I had CXL, as it stopped the progression of the disease before it got bad enough to need contact lenses for everyday activities.

Thank you for your excellent work performing cataract surgery for me. Having compromised vision in one eye I was very nervous when I developed a cataract in my good eye, especially having witnessed the devastation my father faced when he lost his sight in his 40s. I sought the best surgeon I could find and Mark came highly recommended. I got an appointment the same day and within 2 weeks it was all done! No words are enough to express my appreciation for the service you provide Mark and I will remain forever grateful for your skill in restoring my vision.

Amazing service and experience. I always wanted to do eye laser correction since I learned of its existence. When I visited Mr Wilkins I was finally eligible to have it and I'm now happily seeing things with perfect vision.

I couldn't have been more impressed with everything from start to finish. I've wanted laser eye surgery as long as I can remember, and was very excited to finally be eligible, but was sure I'd have to wait a long time given COVID.

I was very lucky to be squeezed in just before restrictions tightened in January, and had no problems at all making any appointments along the way.

Everything was done in a a very COVID safe manner, including the procedure itself. Throughout, the team were professional friendly and helpful.

I came to see mark and his team for laser eye surgery after being recommended to him because I had very high and complex prescription. Everyone was extremely professional and it was probably the best and most thorough eye examination I’ve ever had.

After going to previous consultations with other clinics and not getting any confidence in their approach. Mark and Andrew where able to reassure me and explain everything to me in a kind and patient manner. This gave me so much confidence to go ahead with the surgery.

The surgery itself was so smooth and so quick, I wish I had done it sooner.

I went to see Mark Wilkins on 3rd February 2020 where I needed a urgent review. Mark offered me nothing in the way of treatment. I was asking about options but in the end I left with no more options than if I never went to the appointment. I do not feel advice offered was any help to my overall health and in fact had a detrimental effect on it.

Having only 1 working eye, I was very concerned when it developed a cataract. It was clear that corrective surgery was necessary and the risks of damage to my sight during this process meant I sought the best practitioner I could find. Mark Wilkins and his team were extremely professional and their manner and skill helped ease my trepidation. The procedure was swift and effective resulting in my restored vision. Throughout the process I felt I was in very good hands and would have no hesitation in recommending them to others

I was very apprehensive, for context, I'd been considering having laser eye correction surgery for 5+ years! The surgery itself, whilst somewhat uncomfortable, was simple and pain-free. It was over pretty quickly too.

The results have been amazing! My prescription was pretty high (-7.5) beforehand so I wore my glasses all day, every day and for longer than I can remember! Old habits die hard, I still, 4 months later, wake up most mornings and instinctively reach out for them on my bedside! But honestly, I'm really grateful to be able to see unaided - everything from swimming through to buying non-prescriptive shades and much, much more, is suddenly an option!

I was very apprehensive about my cataract surgery. Mark was very reassuring and explained everything. The team from reception through nursing staff, the anaesthetist - everyone in fact, made the short stay at the clinic enjoyable (I can’t believe I am actually saying that!). I have huge fears about any form of surgical intervention and I can honestly say that the experience had no negatives at all. The benefit for me is restoration of near perfect vision to the extent that I do not need corrective lenses for my severe astigmatism. I was in the unenviable position of having varifocal lens from a faulty batch inserted in both eyes in March 2015. I noticed a deterioration in my right eye recently and had check ups which is when I learnt about the faulty lens. My concern was that it would not be a straight forward procedure therefore I only wanted the best surgeon for the job. I phoned Moorfields Private Clinic and spoke to Andrew (Mark Wilkins Practice Manager) and he explained everything to me in such a kind and patient way that gave me the confidence to go ahead with the operation with Mark Wilkins. All of Marks team are caring and professional and I would not hesitate to return to Mark if my left eye develops the same problem. I am 1 week on from the operation and my eyesight is perfect. I am very grateful for the excellent result.

Service and results were flawless. I had LASIK surgery and didn't have any issues. My eye sight is now even better than expected.

Having had a strong short sighted prescription from being really young, I had always want to have my vision corrected, but had also always been too apprehensive to go ahead with it. Mark and his team were excellent from start to finish. I was suffering from headaches and declining vision in my right eye for around two years. Four months after seeing Mark for an initial consultation, my vision in that eye is now better than it ever has been: I was diagnosed and operated on within a week. Highly recommend!
