I cannot recommend this solicitors enough as a first time buyer. Like many, the property buying process was a complete minefield for me and they made each step of the process not only smooth, but a lot easier to understand.

If I ever had a query, they would get back to me within a day (sometimes within and hour or 2) which I’ve heard is quite extraordinary compared to other solicitors.

Their app was super useful too as you’re able to track your progress as well as look over documents.

If you ever want to buy your first home and want great support along the way, I would recommend Lyons Bowe. Thankyou to the incredible team at the Shepton Mallet branch, you’ve been amazing!

You go through a chain of different people each one specialising in a different part of the sales process.
Personally I’d have preferred one contact .
Process was handled pretty swiftly & effectively although I didn’t like cumbersome app you have to download & the Shepton Mallet office vastly superior to the attitude of Bridgwater .
I would use Lyons Bowe again as fee fair & overall service good.

I brought a property back in February 2023 which after completion I asked to have my deeds as I hadn't received them. I sent multiple emails as well as over a dozen phone calls to get this matter solved and had NO correspondence back at all. Today I contacted them again explaining my frustration and the receptionist simply sent me my deeds vie email. It Took Lyons bowe 2 years to solve an issue that would have taken 2 mins to solve.
None of my emails were answered at all even after multiple attempts.

I will never use this company again. Really sad

Probably one of the worst experiences of my life, the start of the experience was awful,

The instructions team/Legal team were the most stressful part of our journey with this company. The instructions team took their time and were slow at replying to our emails, they would ask for documents they already had from us.

It even got to a point where our mortgage advisor got involved and said “should we stop referring our clients to Lyons bowe” we were told that this could have all been completed by the end of February but with how slow the team were we didn’t meet this.

The whole experience was awful and we were genuinely getting to a point where they were adding stress that we nearly wanted to just pull out.

Until we were moved to the exchange and completion team where Alex, had actually been calling us quite a lot keeping us updated coming back to us when we had called in and was keeping us informed. That was the only part of the experience that wasn’t stressful when Alex took over and we thank him a lot for that.

He got us completed within a week of us being moved over the exchange and completion team!

I would not ever recommend this company to anyone.

Each team hand-off was smooth and thorough, ensuring a seamless transition from one stage to the next until the closing.
