I wish I could give negative stars! I have ordered from Loot a number of times and in the past year I have had issues with every order - although it indicates that the items are in stock and should arrive in three to four days, every single order has taken around three weeks. No communication as to why or to notify me that there is a problem. In addition, with every order, at least one item has then turned out not to be available. I am still waiting for my latest order - placed 10 days ago - and only one item arrived. I've just opened the box and it is not even the correct item so I have to send it back. Their customer service is disgusting as well - I called and was told it would 48 to 72 hours for them to get back to me. Emails don't get answered either. Despite some items being cheaper on Loot (by a small margin usually) than their competitor Takealot, I have never, ever had a problem with Takealot. From now on I will spend a little more but recieve a thousand times better service.

I wish i had read the reviews about Loot before ordering a Siemens dishwasher 16 days ago.
the 3-4 days delivery time changed to 5-7 when i paid for it. The next few e mails from them were very confusing and i had no idea if my order was confirmed.
E mails to them are basically ignored , and if you manage to speak to them they are totally unhelpful , and they say they will e mail the relevant department which will take 24-48 hours.
its all bluffing and feels like a scam.
I still have no idea when or if i will receive my dishwasher.
Like other reviews have said, i would strongly avoid using this company.

I purchased a SSD as a Christmas gift for my wife in December. When she opened it and tried to use it the first time in January it was faulty. I logged it and returned it and it's been more than a month now and I keep on getting the same auto reply. Absolutely pathetic service, I will revert back to Takealot as I have never had an issue on the odd occasion I have had to return an item.
Loot will take your item under warranty and never return it.
Loot took my toaster 40 days ago.
It's been repaired and was found on their shelves on the 15th by a loot employee
It's still lying on their shelves.
I think they are making toast for the employees with it.
So I probably will never get it back
Do not put your trust in this company rather buy elsewhere.

Very poor service. I have ordered a month ago and still awaiting my order to arrive I received one item so far. And when I try to find out what is the problem I get no answer. And no update as to what's happening. I have paid for the order already.... I'm so angry 😡😡😡😡
2 Month Delay!!
Placed an order in December 2020, received 2 emails already stating that my order has been delayed TWICE! And will now only ship on 11th February! How do you operate and run an online business with 2 month lead times?? That is just not acceptable. They should have ensured that they had the stock available on hand to fulfill my order before they so easily took my money! This is absolutely ridiculous! Now what was supposed to be a Christmas gift is going to be 2 months delayed!! Please learn how to run an online business from Takealot!

I ordered books from loot and even paid an extra fee for priority courier so I can receive my books in time for my studies. I have not received an update of my order, it doesn't reflect on their website, the call center cannot tell me when I will receive my books. I will never order from them again, if you dont want stress and a migraine DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY, YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!
Loot.co.za really poor service
I have ordered a Christmas present on the 3rd of Desember 2020, by the 23rd they cancelled the order, poor service. I went with another option and ordered again, now it is the 26 January 2021 and still no order. I have mailed them to refund me but the don't even bother to reply to my enquiry. This is worst online service I ever experienced!
This is the excuse they mail me:
We know that you are eagerly awaiting the arrival of your order. Unfortunately there has been a delay in receiving it from our supplier. The national lock-down has caused many frustrations and backlogs for us and our suppliers. We have contacted them and explained that we don't want any disgruntled customers and our main aim is to make you smile when you open your loot.co.za box.
We've been assured that your order is being prepped to make its way to our warehouse. Based on this information we are hoping to ship your parcel by no later than the 11 February

Delayed Supply chain
The competing online market seems to be saturated with alternatives to the more vested Takealot. However please consider your supply chain, how products are advertised and general service. One cannot wait 7 weeks for 1 book, whatever the obstacles you may face. Reasonable time of delivery is the only reason online shopping works, your delivery times require great improvement. Very bad experience,sticking to Takealot.

Wish I read the reviews before buying from this nonsense Loot. We bought a fridge on the 15.12.2020 and only after we paid we were told they will deliver on the 08.01.2021 up to date nothing has been done. Have send emails and no response received and even when you call they lie that order has been dispatched. They don’t even bother to inform you. Told them we need our money back and nothing. This is the worse supplier ever I wish they can be banned from selling 😡😡😡😡😡

Sadly we have to give 1 star. DO NOT ORDER FROM LOOT. If you cannot find the item elsewhere rather do without. It is just not worth the hassle. Loot recently opted to use a courier company called Last Mile, who are not on the web nor contactable directly. In fact the call centre only have an email address and these go unanswered. For 10 days I have called, emailed, messaged and not once have I received any correspondence from Loot other than "we have a 24 hour turn around time". Having been a loyal customer over the years I can only advise that until they relook at their non existent customer service and delivery I would not use Loot.

selected and paid for double door fridge as gift for children on 29 nov 2020. Paid R20990!!!. After numerous calls loot informed delivery was 18 dec 2020. After many more calls to loot and samsung after 18th,loot informed us there was no stock of that item? To date(31st dec) have not yet received refund. Loot offered R150 Voucher on next purchase. Who will purchase again from them? Shocking

I ordered a defy stove from them in October. They couldnt find the item at first and then in Novemebr shipped it to me via courier. Packaging was damaged as well as stove and i rejected. Noe i must wait to get money back untill they get feedback from courier. Meanwhile i dont have a stove
Loot is a scam
they do not have stock of the items they sell both on their own website and on other websites like takealot and bodorbuy. They try to source the item after you pay for it. Then they can't source it and they refund you via a credit which you can only spend on their website. Reported to FNB fraud division.

They lie to you that they have stock and 7 days later after you paid R4600 they tell you they do not have stock and you need to wait 3 days for your credit. This supplier is a liar!

I orderded an item in July that was supposed to be a birthday present , all i've been getting its emails with extesion date for shipping off the goods and now were on the 3rd week of September already , their service is alter rubbish not recommending it to anyone , Takealot its on point so far.

I ordered items from Loot. Co. Za two months ago and they then let me know in the middle of August that my order wil only be deliverd beetween 18 and 22 september, then today they emailed me again and told me my order is again postponed until the 13th of October. How is this possible this is verry poor service. If i get my item on the 13th of october eventualy it wil be the fourth month after i orderd from them that i receive my package. This is verry poor service i will not recocment Loot. Co. Za to anybody. I wil never order from them again.
Disgusting Service, Deceptive Descriptions
Deceptive online descriptions. Disgusting service. Incessant delays in shipping.
Let me start by saying that I have never given a once star review for any service before. I always try to be understanding of businesses (especially now, during a pandemic) but my experience with Loot was just terrible.
First, deceptive info on their website: before I placed my order, the estimated shipping time for my order was 1-2 weeks. After paying, the estimated shipping time was over a month! How is such deception even legal?
Next, pathetic service: when I emailed customer service to ask for an explanation, I got an automatic response asking me to "be patient". My order was then delayed twice, and each time I got the same automatic response. I never once spoke to an actual human about my concerns, and this was doubly concerning seeing as I needed my products within a certain time frame for educational commitments. My products arrived too late, and that put pressure on my learning.
Also: Loot repeatedly apologised for their mess-ups, but they never once offered an amends. Apologies without amends are totally hollow.
I took a chance with Loot due to there being a few positive reviews for it.
Spare yourself the grief I experienced and go with a different seller. Even if you pay a little more, it'll be worth it.

only giving a star as I need too to write a review. This is the worst online shopping website ever. Never use these guys they are unreliable and ate using the Covid 19 as an excuse I have ordered other products from other countries and recieved it on time..Loot is sooo Pathetic
