I am so happy I used The London Vision Clinic. Firstly the staff were absolutely fabulous. Warm, friendly reassuring and professional from the reception to the theater.

Aftercare is excellent. I am so pleased with the results, writing this without using glasses. Vision has improved so much.

Attentive and thorough pre-examinations, and excellent aftercare. Everything had been handled perfectly, they have really taken car for me - a credit to the whole team; examiners, reception staff, nurses, optometrists and surgeons.

I had laser treatment on both eyes 15 years ago - have never needed glasses since. However a cataract developed recently and where better to go than to LVC to have it removed and this been successfully done.
I was very happy 15 years ago and am still very happy now.
Every member of staff was very helpful and friendly.

Top class from the very first meeting. Everybody I've spoken to at LVC, be they receptionists, nurses, opticians, or surgeons, they are all a pleasure to deal with. Nothing is too much trouble, no question too silly, and I've never felt pressured or rushed into anything.

When you enter the clinic you are made to feel very welcome by friendly reception staff. From the very first appointment to follow up appointments every process was explained to me and the consultations made sure i understood.
The aftercare is excellent as well.
My daughter had her eye surgery at the London Vision clinic and I was so impressed, i made the decision to have my surgery there too.

LVC provided a wealth of information on their website, including videos, made thorough examinations, explained the pros, cons & risks carefully, allowing me to make an informed decision. Their staff were courteous and highly professional.

A special thank you goes to Dr. Carp, my surgeon. He was absolutely outstanding – calm, reassuring, and incredibly skilled. He took the time to explain every step of the procedure, answered all my questions with patience, and made me feel completely at ease. During the surgery itself, I felt confident that I was in the best hands possible.

The results have been life-changing. My vision is now crystal clear, and I no longer need glasses or contact lenses. The recovery was smooth and exactly as Mr. Carp had described.

I would highly recommend London Vision Clinic and especially Mr. Carp to anyone considering laser eye surgery. It has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!

If you’re reading this you may be apprehensive, are trying to decide if you should have surgery and if so, whether should you use LVC.

After my initial consultation - which was very thoroughly and professionally conducted - I was told I should have PRESBYOND in addition to correcting my lifelong myopia. I was a little apprehensive about it, even after researching and seeing that the outcomes are overwhelmingly positive, partly because I hadn’t actually started to have issues with reading yet. But I am at “that age” and the rationale was it makes little sense to bin the distance specs only to have to wear readers soon enough. My main concern was adjusting to the different powers in each eye.

After another consultation, this time with the surgeon Mr Carp, who patiently answered my questions thoroughly, I was reassured it was the way forward.

Onto the day of the surgery and to echo what other people have said, the procedure really is utterly painless. And the staff are all pros who made the experience as pleasant as having your eyes burned with fricken laser beams could ever be. My vision was (I think) 20/16 - better than average - the day after and I was given the all-clear to drive.

I’m 25 days post surgery and my vision remains 20/16 so in terms of acuity, as good as I had with specs/lenses. I’ve already noticed the adaptation process progressing quickly. There are periods of the day where the blend feels seamless - so I get literal glimpses of what my vision is going to be like once I’m fully adapted - which is to say pretty much as good as with my lenses. Other times the vision is slightly blurry at certain distances, which is expected at this point. The only other side effect I have now is dryness, mitigated by drops, also expected and also improving.

Shout out to Meghan, the patient care co-ordinator who answered all of my numerous emails promptly and efficiently; to Amir the optometrist at my initial assessment and Emma who conducted my latest post-surgical follow-up. And to Mr Carp, who seems to have aimed his laser perfectly and whose affability and expertise I really appreciate.

So to answer the question at the top of this review: whether or not you have surgery is a personal decision but I would highly recommend LVC if you do decide to go ahead. Even if I were in the small low single digit percentage who don’t adapt fully to PRESBYOND, my rating wouldn’t change as that wouldn’t be anybody’s fault. No surgery, even if performed perfectly, is 100% guaranteed to be successful. But I would trust LVC to take care of my eyes in future if necessary.

From start to finish I felt taken care of. My surgeon, Dr Darshak Patel, made me feel very safe and listened well to any concerns. The morning after surgery my vision was pretty good already and improved after the lenses settled.

So I'm North of 55 and also had -10 in both eyes so I was in the free NHS eye test category. I was that blind.
. About 20 years ago I went to Moorefields for a trial but they couldn't do me. A chance conversation with my optician I found out that lvc had actually done his eyes and he was equally bad.
Called LVC and the options were explained. Being such bad eyesight I was on the more expensive plan but this was notified immediately. A couple of years past until my optician told me how dangerous it was to wear contact lenses while swimming. So I called LVC as being the only sensible option and got booked in for the preliminary tests.
The preliminary test said fine, And a month later I had the op done. I was extremely worried and concerned (I stupidly watched the YouTube videos..) but was put at ease.
Literally you're in the operation room for 10 minutes. Most of that is explaining what's happening. The actual operation is psychologically unpleasant in thought but not painful at all and only lasts a minute in each eye.
Within half an hour I was back in the car (wife driving!) with some sore eyes. That evening my eyes were sore but not painful. I religiously followed the aftercare and was specifically impressed with a message from Glenn seeing if everything was okay.
The following day I went for the checkup by train on my own and walked from Paddington To the clinic. On the way there, I couldn't read the clock on the train carriage, On the way back 2 hours later I could.
Realistically it took 4 or 5 days for me to see almost perfectly, And another week before perfect. Within 2 days I could function normally but I didn't drive.
Then gradually over the next month my eyes got better and better and better.
Lvc certainly do a lot more checkups pre and post-op than any other clinic my friends have been to. And what's impressive is the price on the website is exactly what I paid. Not a penny more.
I've had several friends who have paid a little less but have not had the level of service. Some my friends went to clinics. They were advertising a low price but by the time they added everything it was more expensive than LVC.
10 months on it was the best thing I've ever done. Only thing is I should have done it years ago.

Had my eyes done just over a year ago, All the Staff were brilliant very helpful and organized, Vim was brilliant at explaining the process and managing expectations on the healing process. Glenn who did the procedure was amazing very re-assuring and I can't be any happier with the outcome I now have 20/20 vision my only regret is I did not do this sooner...

It’s nearly a month since my SMILE surgery with Professor Reinstein at LVC. The results have been fantastic so far- my vision is currently even better than expected and I have not experienced any side effects.

I have been to numerous eye specialists since childhood but the Initial Review at the Clinic was by far the most rigorous. Every question I had was thoroughly and carefully answered.

The actual surgery only took around 20 minutes. I felt no pain or discomfort as every aspect of the procedure was explained to me in real time by Professor Reinstein and his colleagues.

The aftercare has been similarly meticulous. Clear instructions were provided for every stage of the recovery process and my Patient Care Coordinator was available to answer any question I had.

Overall, I highly recommend LVC. Their combination of eminent surgeons and a professional yet friendly support staff made the experience truly seamless, particularly given my initial apprehension at the thought of laser eye surgery.

My experience at LVC has been amazing. There was a part of me that thought the overwhelming positive feedback was cheated or something but after having had my procedure done with Professor Reinstein I now see 20/16 with even fewer side effects than I was expecting, just some starburst, halos and some very mild dry eye when I wake up. I'm sure my eyes will continue to heal to perfection over the next 3-6 months.

The last thing you want to say after you walk out of a laser eye appointment and it goes wrong is 'I wish I spent more money to get the best'. Don't be like that, get the best surgery and highest chance of successful correction at the LVC.
