⭐ 1 Star – Extremely Disappointing Experience with LEDSpace

Very disappointing experience with LEDSpace, both in terms of the product and, more importantly, the customer service received when things went wrong.

The lighting product and controller failed to operate, and instead of taking ownership of what appeared to be a faulty product, I was left feeling that I, the customer, was being blamed for the failure. This was particularly frustrating given that I had purchased the equipment in good faith and expected it to work as advertised.

What made the situation even worse was the approach taken by customer service. Rather than properly resolving the issue and acknowledging the possibility of a product fault, the response seemed focused on finding reasons why the problem was supposedly down to me.

The attempted resolution? A 10% discount on my next order.

Quite frankly, why would I want to place another order with a company after having this experience? A 10% discount isn’t an appropriate solution when the product I’ve already purchased isn’t working and I’m being made to feel responsible for it.

Products can occasionally fail — that’s understandable. What isn’t acceptable is the way a customer is treated when they report a failure. I expected LEDSpace to investigate the problem, take responsibility where appropriate, and provide a meaningful resolution. Instead, I came away feeling completely unsupported.

Shocking customer experience and service. The product failure was disappointing, but the handling of the complaint was worse.

Based on my experience, I would think very carefully before ordering from LEDSpace again.

I found staff to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I am happily up and running with my project because of their help.

I bought Led Strip lights for a reccess.
Products are great.

Had an issue with a wrong item in my order. They resolved this so quickly.

Fantastic customer service

I ordered a plug in and play strip of lights kit , no specialist knowledge needed. But try as I might I couldn’t make the lights work, so I went on-line and Lisa gave me some advice , but I was still unable to get them working . So she told me to send them back and let the guys sort them out for me , they were returned to me next day fully wired up and working .
The lights are great very happy with them and happy with the service, I would definitely order from them again.

I’ve purchased 5 LED strip lights for use as a shower niche using the solder and seal service for my DIY bathroom renovation.

The website was easy to use and for the most part, easy to determine what parts were required for my project.

I had to contact customer services for clarification as the website did not specify what was or was not required in order to activated the lights from a wall switch. Customer services very quickly responded specifying which parts could be omitted and I placed my purchase online the same day.

The delivery window given was up to 5 days from the date of order due to the bespoke measurements however the order was dispatched much quicker than this and I received clear regular emails as the various stages for the order.

Using APC courier there was an issue with the delivery, which was out of the control of LED space.
The reporting procedure for missing parts was very easy to use. It just gives you a tick box list of the order and you select which parts have not arrived. This was set automatically was sent to their customer services team who read it, reviewed it and instantly dispatched replacement for the parts. This was due to a long saga at the couriers trying to locate the parts. The replacement items arrived the very next day which I was very happy with and it allowed the build to continue without delay.

Customer services were excellent throughout Shaun in particular kept on top of it and made a potentially difficult situation very simple.

Is there any negatives I would mention was that the website did not have an option to state the LEDs could be mains activated only from a light switch instead of a remote or smart setup. If that had been on the website I would not have needed to contact customer services in the first instance and it would’ve saved the company and me time.

The solder and seal service which made up almost 50% of the cost of the order have a slightly different impression of the finished product than I imagined. This is my interpretation than anything else as I assumed that the profile and the LED strip and wiring would be sealed as one. This is not the case, the Soldier and Seal relates to the power cable 24 V being connected to the flexible LED strip only.
The profile is separate has to be cut by the installer.
I Imagine this is for fitment reasons however this was not obvious on the website.
That said, I’m happy with the quality of the workmanship from the Solder and Seal process.
The LED strip is of good quality and is IP67 rated for use in wet areas so perfect for shower niche.
The profile strip is not waterproof.
The only way to waterproof this is to seal seal yourself on installation or keep it unsealed and as advised by customer service services, open the opaque strip occasionally to allow it to air, which in my opinion involves unnecessary maintenance.

As a competent DIY I may well opt to solder and seal my next order myself as I have seen that the process appears to be fairly simple.
However I was provided with the necessary products in the order to simply cut the profile strips and run the cables very quickly as soon as the order landed on my doorstep. The in product is very good, I’m very happy with the companies attitude to their customers with their after sales support and I’m glad I chose them to provide the product for my build.

Product detail page does not confirm that a transformer is required with a 1 metre light rgbw strip. I was under the assumption a 5pin connector would be provided with the light strip to connect it to the mains only to find out this was not the case. Also, for a RGBW light strip there should be a controller to change the colours. How would the light strip colour be changed without the controller? The product page should clearly specify this information. I feel a bit deceived in buying this strip. Delivery was fine and strip is fine. But, you should specify a transformer and controller is required. I don’t even know what I am going to do with this strip now.

They are very easy to set up and are great quality. So we are now going to add some more

I bought some led lighting for a media wall from LEF Space and the service was truly excellent. I sent them the details about my project and they provided a breakdown of all the required parts, and modified it when I changed my mind! I would always use them for lighting from now on.

Led lights arrived on time but had a fault in them ledspace replaced them the very next day

Great company to deal with. with very fast efficient service. They supplied lights, track, converters and controllers for my patio. All arrived on time and perfect for the job. Phil's help and advice was great too

Great website and very helpful staff (Thanks Jake) Not got product yet.

When i decided to light up my garden, i looked on loads of websites and found it all a bit overwhelming. i needed help and i found it at LEDSPACE. i sent them a rough drawing of my garden planters with accurate measurement's and they spoke to me at length regarding my needs. Wow as soon as the order arrived everything was packaged separately with instructions for each planter set up. when i had a question they were there to help and now my garden looks amazing. it is rare these days to get such amazing service and i wish this company well. They deserve a five star rating. Being able to talk to technical staff or anybody using an online service seems to be getting more and more difficult but they were there for me.

Can I just say what a fantastic idea it is to have your basket checked before a purchase; most companies would just let you incorrectly order. Great idea! It turns out a couple of items that i thought i need where incorrect, which Shaun pointed out and sent me links to the correct items.

The team at LED Space were super helpful with my garden lighting project, The product was easy to install (after a little support from the team, which was more about the DIYer than the product) and even if I do say so myself, look rather splendid.
