Awful experience with Leaders Cambridge branch. The company is a farce. They were supposed to be managing my property and I ended up doing it all myself as they were didn't do anything and were unresponsive to contact from both landlord and tenants. The tenants were without a shower for 11 weeks. It broke once and their person did a quick fix (at great expense) which broke again almost immediately. Their contractors charge double any other workmen and do a terrible job (in my experience). Despite numerous prompts Leaders didn't act to fix the shower, so I had to source, arrange and pay a workman to fix it myself. My house was damaged because the water leaked through the walls. The person in charge of my property was never on top of what was happening in the house and didn't communicate which ended with both myself and the tenants leaving Leaders for better options. The check out was the biggest joke of all with Leaders managing to lose a set of keys meaning I had to get a locksmith. They delayed so much with check out and I still haven't seen a check out report and don't believe it was actually done as there is significant damage and lost items in the house that they didn't raise with the tenants. Leaders have cost me time, money, and significant stress. I am still chasing them for rent payments 6 months later that they have from the tenants but haven't paid to me. It feels like a scam.
I'm now with a different company that charges much less, and whilst I take more responsibility it's less work than chasing leaders to do something and my tenants are also very happy with the house. I won't ever use Leaders for anything again as the experience has been so poor.

Having one dedicated agent to deal with has made a big difference to helping out with any queries from the tenants or from myself. It’s so much easier than having to re explain everything all over again to another person. Alfie Orvis has been helpful responding promptly and efficiently.

Our present property manager, Tikal Betz, has been outstanding over management of our Cambridge rental for the last 2 years. It is a shame she is leaving but hope her high level of service can be continued.

Tikal was very responsive when we raised an issue with the bathroom. The issue was resolved within 2 days. Many thanks.

Tanya has been incredibly helpful and kind in taking over the property we rent. She has been attentive and fast to resolve any issues, as well as keeping us updated on ongoing maintenance issues. So far Leaders has been great in our experience.

When we had a leak, Tikal was incredibly prompt at getting someone to come and solve the issue. Can highly recommend Tikal and Leaders

This relates to ending a tenancy rather than a buy or let. We were advised the landlord was selling the property we had rented for 21 years, so took the decision to buy a property. We were still within our tenancy agreement period and explained this. Once we had purchased we advised Leaders of this and accepted we would be required to pay to the end of tenancy. Communication from Leaders has been absolutely pathetic during this time and have not heard anything from them other than demanding a forwarding address. Was not told a let was agreed whilst we are still paying the rent to the end of the tenancy (LL pulled house from the market and offered for us to continue renting so clearly no communication as we had told them we had purchased and were leaving), have not responded to emails or questions relating to deposit or anything, but I figure as long as they are being paid…… absolutely disgusted with their service

Tikal has always been extremely helpful over the past few years, while managing our property at Leaders. He is quick to contact us when needed, quick to reply and always friendly and polite.

I have been with Leaders for almost a year now. They have been really helpful and understanding with our situation. Our property manager, Tikal, has been good in responding to our emails even now that she is leaving. We have a great landlord, too.

First, our property manager, Tikal Betz, has been outstanding as the best property manager that I can remember since Leaders took over management of 12 Camside, Cambridge.
Not so good was the performance of Renewals North who, it would seem, do not read their incoming emails resulting in a lot of wasted time!

Just a shout out for James Hayes our new property manager. I’ve become used to being a landlord within a large organisation that with the greatest will in the world isn’t always able to offer the level of attention and customer service that we would ideally like. However, James our new property manager at Leaders in Girton, Cambridgeshire has been very proactive and reached out to us in Canada. He identified and resolved a complicated and difficult to navigate issue and managed it very efficiently and effectively. His timely intervention has left me as a landlord happy and the tenants satisfied with a new arrangement. It’s very refreshing to be on the receiving end of such good customer service so thank you James.

Using their services for 18 months already and got great services lately thanks to Tikal, the property manager.

They got the tenancy length wrong, which delayed the move-in date. Lots of mould on move-in. They didn't know the heating was pre-paid until I investigated and told them. Hidden charges left, right and centre.

Generally, it was hard to tell if they were consciously deceiving me, or just being neglectful.
