Leaders - Bishops Stortford Recensioni 

It happened again. After Eurolet being rebranded into Leaders in Bishop's Storford, they have dragged me through the mud one more time.

A garage advertised for rent for £150/month, I am being told it is "storage only" upon calling them. A compromise is found (my car is only small) and a time agreed one hour later than what I could do. I patiently wait, but I get a call to say that the appointment moved to tomorrow for a reason of "daughter of the landlady" having the keys.

On the day, the "manager of the garage block" meets me, no daughter in sight, and keys to multiple garages in her hands. I am told to view a garage that it did not want (the drive is on an incline) and the ones that were advertised are damp and full of mould upon inspection. I agree to number 11, as I have no other choice.

The same afternoon I am sent a digital application form which is asking to fill the details Leaders already have - I have got through them on the initial call. I patiently fill-in the tenancy application form that has no relevance to garage rent (it is asking details of previous tenancy, etc). I then have to wait for another day as I am told that somebody "is not around" to be able to approve the rent.

An email finally arrives the next day, and I am told that I need to pay for the whole year in advance. Three days wasted, time taken off work to view the garage, tape measure in hand as requested by the lettings agency to make sure my car may or might not fit (???) and the whole story makes zero sense.

Maybe me being non-British had something to do with it? That is the only answer I can come up with. Do not bother, do not waste your time.

I had trouble with my last estimate agent. Unfortunately for me they promised me good tenants and the estate agent would look after my property for me. This was not the case. They rented my house out to young degenerates who sub let my property out , went home for months while randoms were staying. It was a nightmare. I got them out in the end.
I went to leaders to have a chat about renting my home out again. Explained the ordeal I went through, what I wanted and expected from Leaders as an estate agent. We spoke about some things I wanted to be able to do as a responsible landlord. I met Tom and we had a chat, Tom went through everything with me and explained everything. Within a week we had the tenant and ready for checks. Before a fortnight past they were in. Leaders delivered everything they said they would. I am a very happy customer.

The previous tenants wanted to leave the tenancy early so the team at Leaders which included Tom, Debbie, Kate, Liam and George explained what happens next and then handled it so smoothly in a extremely short timeframe. They were organised, experienced and were a credit to Leaders and themselves. I often receive letters or telephone calls asking me to transfer to another agency but have remained loyal to this team as they are very professional and believe they work in my best interests at all times.

Very good service and hospitality

All members of staff in the Bishop’s Stortford branch have been very helpful and very informative regarding the property I am renting and helping me with my online portal and application.

When it comes to looking for a house and making the transition to another it is usually a bit stressful, from the moment we contacted the guys at leaders they were kind and were attentive to resolve our doubts, scheduling the visit to the house was quick and easy, especially Georgia was spectacular her attention and the way she carried out and explained the process to us, they were concerned that every detail was covered, without the legal process being so complicated, now we are moving to our new home, thank you Georgia.

Liam has been a huge help in being able to find and rent a new property that we were looking for and helped us through all all the stages. Thank you.

I’ve had Debbie as my Property Manager for nearly 6 years and I’ve found her very professional, approachable and on the ball with all issues I needed addressing. The checking in to checking out process has been very smooth. The office staff are friendly and approachable. Would recommend Leaders to anyone.

It’s so important for me to find the right tenants as I am letting rooms out in my own home. Tom and Liam have been endlessly patient, understanding and reassuring. They are both professional and have a good sense of humour. Leaders have matched me with many lodgers over the past 7 years and I will continue to use their services.

I am still waiting for my deposit to be returned 3 weeks after my tenancy ended, and I have sent around 12 emails. I was informed on Friday 2nd August, after submitting my bank details, that it would be '5 working days'. On Wednesday 7th August, I again had to submit bank details. I was informed it would be '3 to 5 working days'. In the electronic age, where bank transfers take only a matter of hours to go through the system, the length of time I have been made to wait is a disgrace!

Tom totally understood (and was endlessly patient with) my need to find the right tenant for my household. He was very professional and friendly and I could not have asked for a better service from him and the other staff at Leaders - George, Georgia and Debbie. I will definitely use them again (I had stopped for a while!) and would not hesitate to recommend them to friends.
