This was my first time in Kite - Just brilliant.

This was my first time in Kite. My partner had recommended. Being in trendy Shoreditch I was a bit worried it might be too cool for me, (actually it probably is!!) but the staff were absolutely brilliant. Fantastic service, insight into what might work with progressive lenses, endless patience as I whittled down to the final style. Tony is just so knowledgeable and really great value for money. Very very happy customer. Will be going back for prescription sunglasses.

I am happy to say I got the best…

I am happy to say I got the best service in Kite Eye wear. I had a problem with a pair of glasses that I actually purchased some where else and they helped me fit them with new lenses. The manager was excellent. I believe he is new there and is really pushing the company and the designs forward. Really worth checking out the frames and getting a free eye test. I have now ordered a new pair of frames to be made into sun glasses as I was so happy with how my problem was handled.

Went to Kite for a new pair of…

Went to Kite for a new pair of sunglasses and ended up getting an eye test and a pair of new frames too. The designs are on trend, and the quality of the frames are exceptional. A cool London brand. Would definitely recommend.

Kiteyewear Review

I recently purchased some frames from Kite eyewear. There are so many beautiful and unique designs to choose from.

Malty made my experience a very positive one. She is amazing, professional and experienced!! The staff collectively also have a good energy, (Andrea was also great :-) which made my buying experience easy and so comfortable. I'll be returning for another purchase very soon.

Absolutely incredible experience

Absolutely incredible experience. The staff, general manager, and owner are among the friendliest and most knowledgeable professionals out there. They not only have fantastic frame styles, but work with you to find the best fit. If you're in London and in need of new sunnies or spectacles, this is the only place to go.

This not your ordinary glasses shop…

This not your ordinary glasses shop from the moment you walk in to the minute you leave the front door you will have your mind blown. The friendliest and most helpful staff I have ever met, they made the experience of buying glasses very relaxing and easy. They are all knowledgeable and go above and beyond to make sure you leave feeling like you’ve made the right purchase.

Their selection of glasses are amazing and I haven’t seen anything like it in London.

I would highly recommend you visit Kite if you’re looking to buy any type of glasses. You won’t be disappointed.

Aftercare

I rang Kite today for help with my glasses bought from them. Unhelpful staff. Could not believe what I was hearing. Abysmal service. Not helpful at all. After reading a few reviews, it all makes sense. If they had gone into administration, the new staff obviously don’t care for loyal long serving customers. Avoid. Lacking aftercare.

so far so good

Came in after having read reviews online and saw a friend with a really cool pair, pleasantly met with the staff who went above and beyond in helping me pick a pair that really makes me feel confident. They were so patient and talkative and made it a very pleasant experience (collective staff), quality of glasses felt great and can’t wait for them to arrive!

Kite Eyewear

I’d heard about Kite Eyewear through a friend and it sounded great but as I live around 1.5 hours away I hadn’t got round to travelling up to London to visit the store. I finally decided to make the trip up there and from the moment I walked in I knew I would be a returning customer! I love everything about this store, the frame designs, the staff and the concept is such a cool way to browse and choose your eyewear. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive especially Lincoln he was awesome! He really helped me to choose a frame that actually suited me, I was then able to walk away with my new Patsy frames which I’m in love with so thank you! I cannot wait to return to get my next ones, I definitely recommend a visit to Kite as i’ve always found it hard to find glasses that are beautiful design and beautiful quality... the 3.5 hour round trip was well worth it!

Yemi was awesome

Yemi was awesome, picked out a frame really quickly, knew exactly what I wanted and exhibited superb professionalism. I also got an eye test, which was free and the optometrist was friendly, professional, and fun to talk to. Great experience at KITE.

Updated review :)

I wrote a bad review when I unexpectedly had my order cancelled and refunded during the management change over. A couple of weeks ago the new management got in touch and offered to send me my glasses at no cost. It was a really nice gesture given how stressed and upset I had been and also as I had had my heart set on that pair of glasses!
I have now got my new pair of Frankie Red frames and they are beautiful as well as good quality lenses.

UPDATE

UPDATE: Kite is back in business! And they keep on surprising! They contacted me a couple of weeks ago to apologise for the issues customers encountered, and offered to send me the pair of glasses I ordered (which got cancelled and reimbursed back in February). I now have this pair of glasses I was looking forward to wear, and I am quite satisfied with Kite's renewed good customer service. Keep it up Kite team, and thank you!

Kite - Glasses now received - in future please communicate better.

UPDATE: Kite have now been in touch with me and I have received the two pairs of glasses via post.

In January I bought new glasses then KITE never got in touch so when I have tried to contact them via email, website form and phone calls, I finally received an email reply on the 12th Feb with them asking to confirm my postal address. I have then today received the glasses in the post - which TBH I was not expecting.
So I am now thank full to receive the glasses and the glasses are good quality. Such a shame and very damaging to the customer relationship that they did not just communicate with me from the start. I would have been fine if I was just informed and didnt feel like they were trying to ignore my questions.

Terrible Customer Service. Have they gone into Adminstration?

I bought my glasses x2 weeks ago - I need to return them - but they have no closed the store for 'refurbishment'. So I cannot return them. There is notice about the store closure on their website, nobody is repsonding to my emails. I presume they have gone into administration.
I feel completely duped - as they must have known this was going to happen buy were happy to take my £250.
NOT happy at all.

IN ADDITION TO ORIGINAL REVIEW - Kite Eyewear said I could contact them on their support email - informing me they will sort this out - I have ALREADY done this - and got the following reply by email...

''Sorry for the late reply.

Unfortunately as our store is not closed until further notice, are we have not been able to take any new orders/replacements/repairs.

We are so sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. We wish there was more we could do, however all of our services have been stopped.

The Kite Team''

So please dont reply to my review telling me to contact you for support. I can only assume KITE are trying to APPEAR to support their customers whist going through administration so they can claim to have offered support where they can. They HAVE NOT.
