So happy to be able to get varifocal FL41 lenses
I was looking for FL41 lenses to help with chronic migraines and severe light sensitivity, and came across this company after doing some research.
I used my own frames and tried a sample lens first to choose the tint, then went for 60% due to how frequent my migraines are. I was really nervous about ordering varifocal lenses online, but I didn’t need to be. The lenses are perfect, and it’s the first pair of varifocals I’ve had where I haven’t experienced any “swimming” effect - I could wear them comfortably straight away.
I’ve had them for about a week now and they’ve been fantastic. They don’t distort colour much (if at all), they just take the harshness out of light. I haven’t used them at work yet, but I’m confident they’ll really help with screens and fluorescent lighting.
I’ve already noticed a reduction in light-triggered symptoms and migraine severity. Definitely recommend for anyone dealing with migraines or light sensitivity.

Varifocals can feel like a big step anyway, so to hear you settled into them straight away (and no “swimming”!) is exactly what we aim for 👍
Also really glad the 60% tint is doing what it should — taking that harsh edge off light without messing with colour. That balance is everything with FL-41, especially when you’re dealing with frequent migraines.
It’ll be interesting to see how you get on at work with screens and fluorescent lighting — that’s where a lot of people notice the biggest difference.

Peep Eyewear you're looking good!
Tried to fix the temples of my glasses after 2 opticians told me they couldn't do it, made a bit of a mess of it before finding Peeps Eyewear online, and they were able to put my varifocal lenses into another frame at a very competitive price. The service I received from start to finish was really professional, Jo was great at explaining things and keeping me updated, and when my glasses arrived I was really pleased with the finished look and they felt great on. I'd definitely recommend Peeps Eyewear to friends and family, they offer a quality service and really good value for money. (Only wish I'd found them before trying to fix the temples of my glasses myself, Peeps Eyewear could have repaired them if I hadn't messed them up but at least I know where they are now so that's good!)

What to do with your Favorite Glasses.
I had kept my favorite glasses for several years, hinge was broken.

Solder repair for Lindberg Alvis 51019 Air Titanium
My Lindberg Alvis 51019 Air Titanium Rim snapped in the bridge area while washing the lens. I sent a few photos and questions via their online form. Chris responded to the form and every follow-up email straightaway. I used their SOLDER REPAIR FOR METAL & TITANIUM GLASSES service with 7-10 working days repair time. They actually fixed my glasses within 5 working days. The repair at the breakage point is almost unnoticeable even though the rim is black and the solder used is silver. The nose pads are slightly uneven after the repair but doesn’t affect look or feel after 3 weeks of wearing and washing. I think Chris’ confidence that he can fix it is what separated him from all the other repair options I considered at the beginning. The craftsmanship matched his confidence. I can happily recommend their service.

Grandad's glasses restored!
When organising my grandparents’ home, we discovered a fantastic pair of Safilo glasses that likely belonged to my grandad in the 1980s. The frames had deteriorated quite badly with age, with noticeable rust pitting, but we felt they could still be saved and worn again.
While searching for a restoration service, we came across Peep Eyewear and were delighted when Chris confirmed the frames could be restored with a polish and new lenses. We exchanged a few emails to confirm the specifications before the work began. Chris described the restoration as a “labour of love,” and it’s clear how much time and care went into the process.
The results are fantastic, the frames look as good as new, with the metalwork and tortoiseshell beautifully polished. My boyfriend is now wearing them after Chris fitted the lenses with his prescription.
We’ve also joined the Peep Protect service so the glasses can have a yearly MOT. Thank you to Chris and Jo for such a wonderful end-to-end service.

Ah that’s such a great story — thanks so much for sharing it.
Finding a pair of your grandad’s old Safilo frames and bringing them back to life is exactly the sort of project we love getting involved with. They definitely arrived with a bit of history on them, but it was a real pleasure restoring them and getting them wearable again.
I have to admit as well… I was slightly jealous of that frame! It’s exactly the sort of pair I’d happily wear myself.
Really glad to hear your boyfriend is now wearing them with his prescription lenses — that’s the perfect outcome. It’s always nice knowing a pair with that much family history is back out in the world being used again rather than sitting in a drawer.

Incredible personal service & great frames
I've used Peep Eyewear twice now, having started to experience migraines which I felt were probably being caused by too much screen time and poor glasses (vooglam, don't use!). I had a call with Chris and he talked me through the whole process and I received my specialist fl-41 lens glasses within 10 days. I've had a marked improvement with no migraines since. I was so pleased, I have just ordered two more pairs with normal glass. He has an excellently curated collection of vintage and pre-loved frames as reasonable prices too. Very impressed and will continue to use and recommend.

As a person who is very reliant on…
As a person who is very reliant on glasses I was quite worried about sending my snapped frames off to a company that I’d googled. I needn’t have been. They were returned a few days later, and not only had the hinge been repaired (the other hinge looked like it had been strengthened as well), the arms had also been straightened and it basically feels like a new pair of glasses without the huge cost of complicated lenses and the expense of new frames. I will definitely be using Peep Eyewear again.

I was dubious as I had always used another company (who are no more) and felt a bit nervy about sending glasses in the post but the customer service and turnaround was another level with Peep. As Good As New!
I came across Peep Eyewear whilst looking for some new frames as my favourite reading glasses had snapped in two. I really thought that was the end of them. I gave them a call and spoke to Chris who reassuringly guided me through the whole process. Once they had received my glasses there was a bit of an issue re communication via emails BUT, Chris was ALWAYS available on the other end of the phone when I called keeping me updated with the process and also apologetic for the lack of communication. When my glasses were returned I was pleasantly surprised, they were as good as new! The service at this company is exceptional and there is no doubt that I will definitely be using them again. Just got my glasses back and to see…
Just got my glasses back and to see them looking as good as new is a dream come true!
My glasses had huge sentimental value to me, and when the metal snapped at the stem hinge I really thought they were gone forever. But a quick email to Peep and they responded that they could fix them. And fix them they did! I’m so very happy with the results. Better than I knew was possible!

Absolutely brilliant from start to finish, wanted some expensive lenses taken from glasses I no longer wore fitted into some vintage frames I had bought, I had doubts it would work for the cost charged but not only did it work and i now have extra glasses i can wear but they kept me informed on the whole process and got them back to me in half the time I was expecting...amazing
