I found the whole process from booking a survey to the survey being completed extremely efficient and informative. Upon completion I had a long conversation with the surveyor who went through his findings in depth and was happy to answer any questions. I received his report very promptly and all questions that arose from the report were answered immediately.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Kempston Parkes and would definitely use their services again if necessary.

Friendly, efficient and useful.
Very speedy appointment to have our survey completed after an opening became available, clear and friendly communication, a useful and not overly complicated survey report delivered quickly. We had a follow up appointment to ask any question we had once we had read through the report and taken the time to digest it - no question was too small/silly and we felt reassured and confident at the end.

Excellent service
Excellent service with a very thorough survey. I was contacted by the surveyor as he left the property to assure me that it was of a good standard. The very comprehensive written report was received by email two days after the survey was carried out.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Kempston Park for a properly survey and would certainly employ them again if ever necessary.

Andrew saved me from financial ruin
Andrew genuinely saved me from making a life-changing mistake
I used Kempston-Parkes Chartered Surveyors twice in quick succession, both for Level 2 Homebuyer Surveys, and I honestly couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
The first property looked glamorous on the surface and, at the time, felt like my dream home. Andrew’s survey revealed that beneath the appearance, there were serious issues that would have made it a disastrous purchase. He had the unenviable job of telling me that the home I’d fallen for was, in reality, not the investment I thought it was. He did this with real professionalism, honesty and sensitivity.
It’s no exaggeration to say he saved me from financial ruin.
Thankfully, the second property I had an offer accepted on turned out to be in a better area and, more importantly, structurally sound. These things are meant to be, I suppose.
If I ever move again, I’d only use Kempston-Parkes Chartered Surveyors. Even if I moved outside West Yorkshire, I’d happily pay their expenses to survey the property.
Professional, thorough, honest and genuinely worth every penny. Seriously, I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

I booked a level 2 survey and this was carried out very swiftly indeed. Nothing was too much trouble throughout the whole process and I received the typed copy of the survey report very quickly following the visit. The report was extremely thorough and comprehensive. Overall, a first class service and I would highly recommend Kempston-Parkes and their services.

Level 2 Home Survey and Drone Report
The survey was detailed and comprehensive and the surveyor was more than happy to explain his findings in more detail.
Where more information was required, or remedial action necessary, he volunteered details of how to obtain that information or could recommend tradesmen to carry out the work.
His approach was friendly and advisory and we felt that we were in very capable hands.

First class service
Having been recommended to me,Kempston-Parkes contacted me promptly, set out very clearly the service they could provide and the attached prices. They then organised in a very short period of time the survey of the interested property. The property having been surveyed I was immediately contacted by the surveyor to give me a concise overview and within one working day I was provided with a comprehensive written report. Our Homebuyers Report was thorough and clear, and the surveyor took time to talk us through this written report, highlighting key points and answering questions. He was reassuring, extremely practical and helpful. Avoid and lack of services
I wouldn't use these guys again. The report says something else and the Surveyors guy saying something else on the phone totally mis match. Almost costing me more money on the roof. If you do get report don't listen read the report properly. Lack of miss communication of the Surveyors and the company does not want to take any responsibility.
Please think about it.
When I spoke to management director he said we can't do anything about it when he Surveyor guys call me said everything is fine. Yes so response to the reply please be careful the report says something else and the Surveyors say different so please read it or don't use them.

Dear Mr Patel,
We note your one star review, but feel it is important for our clients, present and future to understand some of the background.
We undertook an RICS Home Survey Level 2 for you.
In this report we made the following statements:
This property is considered to be a reasonable proposition for purchase at a price of £***,000 (*** ******* Thousand Pounds), provided that you are prepared to accept the cost and inconvenience of dealing with the various repair/improvement works reported. These deficiencies are common in properties of this age and type. Provided that the necessary works are carried out to a satisfactory standard, I see no reason why there should be any special difficulty on resale in normal market conditions.
You should obtain reports and quotations for all works mentioned in this report with a Condition Rating 2 and Condition Rating 3. These reports and quotations should be sent to the surveyor for further consideration as these are likely to have an effect on the valuation figure given above.
The main roof is hipped covered with natural slates with no underlay. Some of these parts were hidden from view.
The hip irons to the base of the roof hips are missing and need repair or replacement.
A number of slates are cracked, slipped and damaged with daylight visible within the roof space, and localised repairs are needed.
The mortar pointing to the hip and ridge tiles is cracked and loose, and localised repairs are needed.
Evidence of previous repair using metal clips indicative of 'nail fatigue or sickness'. This occurs as the covering nears the end of its useful life.
Several of the neighbouring properties have been re-covered suggesting that the roof covering of this property may be near the end of its useful life.
You may need to budget for the cost of replacement within the near future.
Condition Rating 3.
We also highlighted several other areas that needed repair, but despite our advice to you, you proceeded to exchange of contracts on 10th April at the agreed sale price, without negotiating on any of the items we mentioned to you.
You have subsequently discussed the matter with two of the directors of this firm and have requested that we pay you £500.00 for the repair of the roof and stating that if you did not get a satisfactory conclusion to your complaint that you would "leave negative feedback on Google and Trustpilot."
In our 30 minute conversation, I stated clearly that I could not compensate you, when my surveyors advice was so clear.
I also tried to reassure you, that despite your complaint to us, we still valued you as our client and would continue to help and support you in your property purchase, even if you followed through with your threat of a poor review.
It is with sadness that I post this reply to you.
