Ordered a Moccamaster from JavaHub on Friday afternoon and it arrived on Tuesday. High-speed service, and lower prices than a certain internet behemoth that's too obvious to mention. And the Moccamaster is the coffee machine of your dreams.
Full Of Beans
I ordered a 1kg bag of beans which came well packaged and the coffee has some great tasting notes and I get a good brew from my home barista machine with it.
The website was also easy to use, has a good choice of coffees and the overall cost including postage was very good. I will be back.
You won't get your coffee machine or your refund
I ordered a Moccamaster from Javahub back in January. At the time of ordering this was marked as in stock on the website and available to order without any warnings of delays.
After two weeks of not receiving any shipping updates I contacted Javahub who said that there were delays due to Brexit and it would be shipped the next day. It wasn't shipped the next day, but I waited a week to send another chaser, at which point I was told it would ship the following week. It didn't ship the following week either.
I waited a full month before requesting that my order was cancelled. At which point I got a prompt reply saying it had been cancelled and I would receive a refund between 3-14 days later.
It's now been a month and with numerous chaser emails and I still haven't received a refund. I would avoid these guys like the plague.
In all fairness, their price for this machine was the cheapest I could find, however I would rather pay the +£30 extra and buy through Amazon where the customer service is excellent.
UPDATE: I have reported JavaHub to trading standards as I haven't received a refund and have not heard from them for 4 weeks. I can only assume that this is a scam.
Satisfied overall
I recently bought a Green Pezzetti Steel Express Stove Top Moka Pot from JavaHub. Overall i was happy with the prompt delivery & cost. The company added a booklet also with care instructions & other products available which some may find useful. I think the product is made in China, not Italy as you would expect. The only minor issue is having to take extra care when cleaning the top part where the lid joins the main body. It is a little sharp & has cut my knuckle a few times, nothing too much to worry about though, the rest is easy to clean & most importantly my coffee tastes lovely in the mornings!
Delicious Coffee
I ordered some coffee beans from JavaHub, not having had their coffee previously. The ordering process was very straightforward, my coffee arrived promptly and - best of all - it was delicious.
I'll definitely use them again, and would highly recommend the company.

Tasty filter coffee!
Tasty filter coffee! Great packaging and quick service. Website is useful at rating which coffee is most suitable for each type ie filter, machine pod etc. Also purchased the v60 drip cup and hario filter papers which are good value for money. Will purchase again!
Spend your money elsewhere
Although I feel like one of the lucky ones when reading the other reviews, as I actually received the goods I paid for eventually, I feel that I now have little choice but to leave a bad review. I ordered a Mocca Master in early January and when this was delayed I completely understood, due to Brexit, the pandemic etc. I thought it was poor that noone contacted me first for an update and that I had to get in touch with Javahub to find out what was happening, but still, understandable given the circumstances.
What I find puzzling, however, is that Javahub bothered to first offer a discount and free coffee to reflect the delay, then proceeded to completely ignore me. If they had just offered an apology for the delay and then delivered the order without any extras, this would have been ok. I certainly wouldn't have bothered writing a negative review and warning others about them- however having written several emails over the last few months for an update on the discount etc, with absolutely no response or even an acknowledgement, I can only conclude that they are an incredibly arrogant company who don't really see the need to communicate with their customers or grasp the link between good customer service and longterm business success- good luck.
To potential customers-spend your money somewhere else if you're not a massive fan of empty promises and people completely wasting your time.
Ordering was so straight forward
Ordering was so straight forward, there were plenty of choices as well as feedback from other customers which is always welcome!
The goods were shipped very quickly too. I really have no complaints!
It is nice to support a smaller business rather than put money in to the hands of a supermarket!
No sign of a coffee machine and now no sign of my refund..
I ordered a Wilfa coffee maker in January 2021 but when I queried where it was two weeks later I was informed it wasn't in stock and there would be a delay. A month on there was still no sign of my machine nor had I received any communication from JavaHub so I asked for a refund. This was immediately granted though two weeks on I'm still waiting for my money.
Bought through recommendation, didn't dissapoint.
I was recommended Java Coffee by a friend after recently buying a new coffee maker.
I loved their list of options they have and the coffee tastes amazing too!
The main thing for me is finding an independent business that really puts thought and care into their products and Java are just that.
You have a returning customer for sure!

Update: any goodwill feeling is gone. This company are crooks. After writing this review, Javahub acknowledged it via Trustpilot, asking for my order details. They’ve still never been in contact. I’m disgusted that they think it’s acceptable to steal from people.
I think this company actually means well, and that their poor service is down to either inexperience or short-staffedness, but I’ve been waiting on a £130 refund from them since 19th December.
So many of my frustrations are down to poor communication - I ordered a coffee grinder on 30.11.20 that was listed as ‘In Stock’, but had zero contact from them re: shipping until I reached out to them on the 11th December to ask for an update. In a month where a huge amount of purchases are Christmas gifts, and with the rife shipping delays we had in December, anything proactive from Javahub to ease concerns and inform customers would have solved almost all of the poor reviews I’ve read since ordering.
I’ve been chasing a refund since 14.12.20, and every time I contact them, I get a response saying they’ve either processed the refund again and to wait for it to appear, or to ask for my card details so they can investigate and get right back to me. But I never hear back until I contact them again, and so the circle continues.
£130 may not be much money to them, but it was a big outlay to me, and since I’d cancelled this order in December and had to purchase elsewhere, it was a big cut into my Christmas gift budget in an already tough year for most.
Every response I see from Javahub to similar reviews revolves around the narrative of “we’re sorry, it’s been really hard for us and we’re just a young company”, which truly I’m sympathetic to, but I think they need to take a serious look at their customers’ experience and not their own if they want to actually grow and succeed. If something isn’t available when you said it would be, give buyers an update instead of sitting quiet. If your automated phone line tells customers to use the website chatbox, actually respond to the messages. If you say you’re going to investigate something and get back to someone, actually get back to them. Reach out to your customers instead of constantly making them chase you. Friendly replies are lovely, but they’ve amounted to zero for me.
I hate leaving bad reviews, but depressingly, a poor review is often what kickstarts a resolution, so we’ll see what comes of this. Until then, I’ll live in hope that one day I’ll see my £130 again, but my optimism is pretty much zero after 3 months.
Nice taste, rapid delivery, good price
I bought the ground Moka D'or, which is a dark roast. Has a nice flavour and texture to it. Was very impressed by how quickly it was delivered and the price for the amount you get is really good, even without the discount that was available at the time. Will use again.
Great coffee
Great coffee, speedily delivered. Really enjoyed the africano roast and blends nicely in my home hand blende for caffetiere coffee.

Buying online can be difficult, especially when you’re shopping for something based on taste. I found JavaHub’s website fantastic for this. The coffee flavours were really well described which will help people pick the coffee type that suits them despite not being able to taste it. In fact they sounded so delicious I bought three!
The coffees arrived through the post in good time and the first packet of beans I have tried so far - Moka D’or - was delicious. Very happy with the service and the product.
