absolute garbage
Update: after 5 months of use.....The boots have split and i have cv grease allover the place...AFTER ONLY 5 MONTHS!!! i don't want these things on my van any longer, ive ordered new shafts from Heritage spares, they sell Meyle HD parts...>MUCH BETTER..........Buying cheap from J&R has cost me in the short run!....
Original review: absolute garbage, DO NOT use these shafts. the driver side broke while it was being fitted, the inner cv literally fell apart, the passenger side clunks when driving so would imagine that will probably fail soon. Tried to get in touch with them but get met by snotty customer service staff asking random questions and going around in circles..
Useless customer service
Unfortunately they cannot manufacture driveshafts correctly which is amusing because...that is meant to be their speciality.
Strange company with no proper customer service at all I have now found out to my cost.
Was recommended by forums, now I am burned.
Ignore anyone who recommends this company.

I try to be patient with firms, but when a company is deliberately obstructive through incompetence, poor process or mallace then I can only wish the worst on the company and the people in it.

I ordered a drive shaft on their website and was sent the wrong one. Aftersales service is by email only? I fitted the shaft and had no drive to the wheels. I contacted aftersales and was was told that it was my responsibility to count the splines on the shaft. After numerous emails they sent a replacement and guess what it was identical to the first one that was delivered. The owner of the car ordered a drive shaft giving the registration and yet again the wrong one but he was told the he should of told J&R that the car was automatic. I now have to return this shaft at my expense. I have reported this issue to trading standards. DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY WITH A BARGE POLE.

Advertised a driveshaft as fitting my Alfa via their reg plate checker. It did not fit my car and they would not pay for the return of the item, they wanted me to cover the cost. They would not let me speak to anybody other than by email and would not let me speak to anybody more senior. They would not even let me make a complaint, very poor and slow customer service. In the end they went silent and did not respond to my emails.
Stay away unless you know 100% that the item they say fits you car does. Call them to confirm. Item did look good quality but it didn't fit as they stated.

Same experience as the other customers
Same experience as the other customers. Confirmed 3 times that they have the right part and sent me the wrong one. Then denied that they were wrong and said I gave them the wrong number plate, how ridiculous is that. Then disagreed to pay for returns even though it wad there fault. The only good thing was there was a lady called Sharon I belive who was wonderful and really helpful and she managed to help me with the returns. Please make sure you are ordering the right part before commiting.
Bad customer service and don't have correct parts
Contacted them for a set of axles for a 1.7CDTI Corsa C. They had 3 types on their website, but the ones I needed were not there.
Sent the following mail:
"Good afternoon, I was browsing your website for a set of axles for a 1.7CDTI Corsa C. And was wondering if you have an axle like DS501, but with the length of DS165 available? I cannot seem to find it on your website, but I know this vehicle has been manufactured with an axle like this. Thanks in advance and hope to hear from you soon."

sent reg for drive shaft to fit transit , came and was wrong one , j@r would not answer emails , finally got hold of them on phone to be told send back at our cost even though they sent the wrong shaft , not helpful at all , still not been reembursed , avoid at all costs , DO NOT USE
False advertising
I ordered cv joints which are fine . In with the joints was a flyer offering 25 cv gaiters for £55 however when I tried to order they were £75 . They said prices gone up but why advertise if they can’t do ? False advertising

Customer Service... What Customer Service
Customer Service is appalling. Whoever this 'Stace' is, needs to understand people are In the right wanting a refund, for a product that's not fit for purpose. Especially when it doesn't fit the car it was bought for even though you type your reg in to get the correct one. I have requested my money back to be told I'm over the 30days. The invoice states the 7th etc and they are arguing over a couple of days. Consumer laws and ombudsman will be used to retrieve money.
Won't be using this company again that's for sure!
Terrible company
Terrible company. Spent £140 on new shafts and £200 on Labour and the new shafts cause vibration through the whole car.
Replaced with used Honda originals and the problem went away. I asked J&R to take the poor quality shafts back and they refused and became very abusing. Avoid at all costs.

we have used J&R for a good few years with no problems.
But after sending out the wrong driveshaft on this occasion. we found the customer service to be absoloubtly shocking.
they answer emails eventually with 1 sentance answers, meaning many emails going backwards and forwards. dont pay return postage or get their courier to collect ( it is in T&C`s to be fair )
then we have to start emailing again a week after return to get a refund. and when the refund is eventually paid the refund is for the driveshaft only so minus their delivery costs. yet refund email received states refund for the full payment. unfortunately being older and quite grumpy we will not be recommending or using this company again
Poor customer service …
An Extremely unprofessional and poor customer service from this company ,their products are Chinese made and are poor quality would never deal with them again . Because in the long run there products work out more expensive than original parts from a main dealer. Especially when you have to return the incorrect parts that there stores shipped out.
Waste of time
Waste of time, cannot be bothered to even advise over the phone. We have been ordering alot with J&R which is even a bigger shame.Whats the point to run your business this way stacey?

Never use this scamming company!!! Their website states 'in stock', items paid for to be told its a five week wait.. waited five weeks to be told its another five weeks!! Customer service staff are not interested in helping customers get their purchases and fob you off..... never again!!!!
1 star is too many!
Even one star is too many for this company! They send out “alternative” parts knowing this won’t actually fit. Extremely unprofessional and poor customer service especially from Stace, who’s apparently the only person you can speak to about anything and this is via email. Appalling attitudes and unwilling to help. All the reviews on here regarding this are true. Not a good company to deal with at all.

The customer service is terrible!!! I’ve received either the wrong shaft or abs ring(both supplied by them). The customer service representative Stacy is arguing me down about there is no abs ring on the shaft if picks up in the hub. You ask for a manager there’s never one available! eBay doesn’t allow for a negative review until after over a week and I believe by then people either forget or get the refund and leave it alone cause if they even had one review as the ones here I would have known to stay clear away! I will be taking this up with eBay as well as they’ve cost me the money I’ve paid to use a garage to do the work.
