deduct postage even when they admit its their fault
awful service, sent me the wrong driveshaft and then deducted the postage off? not only is this against the law, but the audacity! still trying to get my money back a month on! they admitted fault but dont refund!
avoid this company like the plague
avoid this company like the plague, ordered a drive shaft from them after them confirming the one ordered would fit, it didn't! i contacted them and it took almost three weeks to get them to agree to take it back, returned the shaft to them a month a ago still no refund and no reply to emails, will be claiming money back from our back, shame really as were a very busy garage I thought we would try them but wont be using them again
Perfect
Perfect, got me right out of a hole when I couldn’t get a shaft for a customer. I dealt with mark and Liam and they were friendly polite and knowledgeable as was everyone I spoke to, some bonuses needed!!
Cheap and nasty shafts
Shockingly poor quality avoid these people like the plague.
4k miles and 6 months inner joint is destroyed causing severe vibration. 2 of the 3 cups are detached and all that’s left of needle rollers is glitter in the grease.
Cheaper in the long run to fit a decent shaft than using the rubbish J&R sell.
Rude and unhelpful with zero customer service!
Went online to look for a drive shaft. Bought up two options for my 2012 Peugeot 5008. Called and checked and was told what part to order. Received it, mechanic booked, he took car apart to find it was the wrong part! (So I’m now out of pocket!) Called them and the guy who answered then asked my transmission. I explained the situation and he said contact after sales he assured me they, are quick to reply! You can only contact after sales/technical via email. Took all day Thursday and Friday to get sorted when it could have been sorted in a ten minute phone call! The lady responding was extremely rude! Didn’t answer some of the questions I had! I had to call Peugeot to get part number as jandr wanted the number off the original part but by the time she responded my car had been put back together! jandr checked to make sure they sent me the right one according to Peugeots part numbers. I was given the part number and that part didn’t even come up on their website when I put my registration in! Finally wrong part was exchanged. Waiting to call mechanic out again and hope it’s the right part this time! When I emailed the rude lady to ask how much the new part was she said I can check the website by searching the code! Very helpful and great customer service not!
Fauly axle after a few weeks.
Cv axle on my Pug 2008 (16 plate) was in need of replacement.
Found these guys on ebay and the part to be cheap £85.
Bought in september... started failing end of august,
Axle was banging/ clunking when turning full lock, vibration when accelerating.
Previous axle wasnt even this bad.
Only replaced it due to damaging the orginal axle thread.
Stopped using the car, been using the wifes car and only now this weekend getting around to replacing it with the oem part which i bought december ££££ more expensive but will be worth it.
When emailing them on ebay they want a picture of the part... on the car.. to prove its their part?

Today I phoned for a drive shaft for my car a lady answered and she was very very in polite and acted ignorantly and said we don’t have parts for this car, I then checked on their website and showed it’s available, I phoned again and this time the same lady was so stupid and arrogant that whitest I’m talking to her she slammed the phone down. I will not buy from this firm even if they give free, the firm and lady both can go to hell !!!!

Firstly. I contacted the sales team by phone to confirm shipping arrangements and I can honestly say I was gob smacked at how rude the girl was on the sales team, and she hung up before I could even respond.
Since I was desperate to get the car repaired, I Purchased a drive shaft, it did arrive next day which is all well and good. Fitted the drive shaft, all seemed to be OK until I realised when we jacked the car up, the gearbox oil was pouring out past the drive shaft seal.
Removed the shaft to inspect and after measuring the diameter discovered the shaft shoulder is smaller than the original shaft meaning it would never seal well against the shaft seal.
It is not possible to speak to anyone other than the rude sales team as they are 'an online conpany' (basically an excuse for terrible customer service)
I filled in their contact form as they ask and had no reply. Since I cannot hang around with the car off the road waiting for a response I had to order another shaft from a decent company, which fitted perfectly.
I have sent a second message but no response still.
If I don't receive a response I will be asking the bank to claim the funds back.
Online Company or not - Zero customer service. Zero excuses. AVOID!
An update...
Finally got a reply to my emails. So rude you couldn't make it up. Despite the fact they have manufactured the diameter of the shaft too small to sit against the oil seal correctly, they tried to blame me stating I shouldn't have fitted the drive shaft if it wasn't correct! Despite them supplying the drive shaft as the correct part based on the number plate of the vehicle! Do they expect every company to get out a micrometer to check their poorly made driveshafts before fitting?
Having been an engineer for 30+ years, it is clear that poor manufacturing is the issue but they will not take responsibility for this of course.
The most shambolic customer service I have even had!!!!!!
Well what can I say, the worst customer service I have had, bought a intermediate driveshaft from these and took it to my garage where he tried to fit it. When fitting he explained he thought it was a bit short and wouldn't seal on the gearbox. I had ordered a new seal too, on the way home we had gearbox oil everywhere.
I took the car elsewhere for a second opinion and they too said there's an issue with the shaft. J&R want to swap the "faulty" shaft and send me another I said the shaft isn't fit for purpose and want a refund as I have had two labour rates to pay. That's when I had around a full day exchanging emails and getting nowhere.
The answer to my questions where very odd as if they where answering different questions! Replies sometimes didn't make sense......
I can only echo everyone's else's comments on here, if only I had read these before ordering.......Also you can't speak to a human being to try and resolve- I assume this is because of all the flack they must have had in the past. I am now pursuing other channels to try and get my money back.
CUSTOMER SERVICE LESS THAN POOR
This company are completely and utterly devoid of any potential as far as customer service is CONCERNED, you only get to speak to a remote worker Stace, who to be frank is OBSTRUCTIVE. They aren't engineers, we as CAD engineers asked to discuss possible production of small numbers like GKN, absolutely no answer, this to me is a company in name only, i have had much better interaction with guys selling out of the back of a van! They do not give out technical information possibly as they genuinely don't know themselves, after reading the numerous reviews i can see you have no chance if you want a straight answer, THIS HAS BEEN MY EXPERIENCE, Stace wins the top prize for being obstructive, not answering emails fully, SO PROBABLY DOESN'T BOTHER READING THEM FULLY EITHER. your better sticking with shaftec, AS THERE appears to be numerous failures with a lot of unhappy customers. HITTING BRICK WALLS WIT HCUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE POLICY IF YOU WANT TO DEVELOP.
2 broken driveshafts no refund
I purchase 2 drive shafts through ebay for 2 diffrent vehicles and both failed..cv grease came out with in days and the coupler failed..that's both moving parts failed on both shafts..I did get an exchange because i left bad feedback on ebay..i was phoned by stace and asked to change my feedback and they would exchange one and refund the other..I returned shaft 1 for the exchange and I got it..i was on for 2 weeks before the same happened.shaft 2 was returned with photo proof of delivery but the refund never happened. they blocked me on ebay so I couldn't contact them..I contacted there website and they Tell me to deal with it through ebay..this is after I told them them they have blocked me. I was left stranded at the side of the road with my brakes covered in cv grease and smoke pouring from wheel.both drive shafts failed.and the second one I just managed to get it home..and still no refund or response

I highly RECOMMEND them; surprisingly, after I had a small problem with the rubber boot of a driveshaft I bought from them.
I sent them an email explaining the issue at 13:15 in the afternoon, and they replied almost in no time. Then, the next day, I had a rubber boot kit delivered by DPD, for FREE (under the warranty).
Yes, yes, haters can say that the rubber shouldn't have failed in the first place, but... hey... really?... Did you ever get a response to your email in 4 minutes?... and then a delivery the next morning?... that delivery probably cost them more than the product itself.
I have never had a similarly good experience with any other company, and I don't usually leave good feedback (let's be fair, nobody leaves good feedback 😅)

Horrendous customer service via 'Stacy' who responds to customers like she is texting another teenager at school.
Contacted them to check parts were right for my vehicle. Placed the order. Next day, only one of the two driveshafts turned up. Informed Stacy; "Soz, it will be 5-8 weeks until you get the second". I wouldn't have placed the order if I was told it would take 8 weeks to get a part for my car to pass the MoT. They insist I pay for return postage, or wait until they have stock and send the other out...so I am £££ short for having use J&R.
Why didn't they contact me to say the part was out of stock before sending one half of the order? When they make mistakes why pass on the cost to customers? Zero empathy with the customer. "Computer 'sez' no" mindset from low calibre employees and no way to escalate issues to a manager.

Very poor quality
Very poor quality, first drive shaft make noise straight after put them in, after sending about 20 emails they send me replacement and also make noise - second was better - after 100 miles was start clicking - don't buy this cheap rubbish - be careful, or you wanna lost few hundred pounds for a labour costs and still you must pay for this rubbish shaft.
A good deal
Had I read the reviews first, I would not have bought from J&R. That would have been a pity because the shaft I ordered was delivered the next day, fitted perfectly, and -so far- is working perfectly.

Quick delivery of the wrong part. 5 days now and 5 attempts to resolve it but getting nowhere. Avoid this company as there customer service is non existent. Looks like I am stuck with the wrong part.
AVOID using this company
AVOID using this company, you will regret it seems to be using cheap Chinese rubber boots that fail almost instantly and much the same for the whole driveshaft. Return policy I hear you ask well go on a few car forums and ask about J&R driveshafts and you will quickly find out and try UTUBE people all say the same thing, Save your money and your time go elsewhere.
