I used their service very briefly in January' they then charged my card accident June for 4000 USD, even after admitting fault and stating that they will process a refund I still do not have these funds back, I now believe it might be a scam

Remove all your cards/paypal accounts from their website.

We hired a developer for a short time through ITHire.com over 9 months ago and have not used it since.

Two days ago, ITHire.com tried to charge our card for $3,000.

Take a look at the positive reviews here - all from people who have posted one review only, and all read like they're fake.

Don't trust. This seems like scam behaviour.

Advertised a small IT job on freelancer in April 2024. Made contact with what seemed to be a great candidate who asked me to use ITHire as fees were lower. I agreed, the job was completed in 1 week so i the cancelled contract. Then in October, 6 months later 5000 USD was taken from my Paypal Account and had been set up reoccurring weekly. I immediately contacted IT Hire support and was given a BS story of it being a glitch and it would be reversed. i Then noticed no email signature and when i asked how can someone set up a weekly 5k transfer its gone quiet. Have contacted Paypal and trying to dispute it but does not look good. Avoid like the plague.

This website poses as a legitimate IT hiring company. We posted a job on Upwork, searching for a developer for a short 2-week project. After finding a developer, we were asked to move the engagement to the "IT Hire" platform instead, supposedly to save on fees since IT Hire charges less than Upwork. We agreed.

The project started, and we were billed for the first week based on the hours logged. Then, we were charged for the second and third weeks, despite the fact that the project was not progressing. We received no valuable code, and the whole setup started to seem suspicious. We even discovered that the developer’s profile picture was from a stock image site.

Despite these red flags, we paid the final bill and ended the project. However, we’ve since been charged repeatedly – totaling over $3,500 across three occasions. The latest charge, $450, happened just two days ago, even though we canceled the PayPal recurring payments and removed our credit card details from the IT Hire account.

We were charged over $1,500 the first two times, and now this third charge for $450. Although PayPal has refunded us, the charges keep reappearing. This seems to be a recurring issue based on reviews from others.

How IT Hire manages to continue billing us through PayPal after we've canceled the recurring payments is beyond my understanding.

We have also reported this platform to the Australian Scamwatch agency.

Be warned: this appears to be a pattern for them.

Even though I closed the account on ITHire after the last event, today they have taken $200 from my card.

To be clear, I have no account on IThire, no active job or contractor, and worst of all no access to their system.

I have no choice but to involve the Police.

I used IThire two years ago, this week i got charged 5k€ although there was no work logged by previous projects. I think they got hacked and security seems to be an issue. Customers service reacted fast, now no answer at all.

Update: The forced me to stop the Paypal case and stopped communication now. Everythign well documented. Reach out if you are affected as well.
