we used this company last year, over a year later they started charging us for a recurring fee amounting to 22,500 USD. At first they are responsive and said it was a mistake, but they have since been unresponsive and never followed through with the refund commitment

This is fraud! We used IThire for a single time with a legitimate minor charge. Now they suddenly started charging us larger amounts. Customer support tells us, sorry was a mistake, we will reimburse. But that doesn't happen and they no longer ract!

I have run my small business in London. They are scammers company don’t even trust them we have lost so much money with them £1,350 for the monthly fee and they are still asking £50 from each of client. They promised us so many things but all the lies. Matt is the manager don’t even listen what he said to you.

I hired an Indian IT professional two years ago and had a terrible experience. The coding was poor, the brief wasn't followed, and I paid thousands of dollars. Years later, the ITHire platform continues to charge my card, last year $1,500 USD, and now another $100 USD.

It's a scam. Avoid it and anyone associated with it.

This company is literally stealing from me and not even responding to my many messages and mails.

Customer support doesn't even reply, what a joke of a company. Between "contractor" from their platform and their company we were charged 4 times (even when contract ended because developer never even showed up to the meeting). If you want to save yourself a headache, go somewhere else.

Incredible that this "company" is able to undermine the credibility of Trustpilot with their obviously, fake, bot generated (always) 5 star glowing reviews, which are in stark and and blatant contrast to their many victims who have posted their sad experiences here.

SCAMMERS- DO NOT USE THEM!!! They stole $96,000 USD from our Paypal. Read other reviews of them doing the same to other people. We used them once for a total of $3.00 and they continued taking money out of our Paypal to the tune of $96,000 USD.

TLDR: They randomly and repeatedly reauthorize payments on cancelled projects. Even if your account with them has been permanently removed, they keep your information and attempt to take hundreds to thousands of dollars from you without notice.

Don't trust the 5 star reviews on this site. This business is a scam and should be reported by every individual who has been a victim of them.

My Experience:

Back in May 2022, I spoke with a Freelancer on Upwork. They asked me to move to ITHire to help save them money. I chose to help them out and agreed to work through that site. I worked with this freelancer for one month. It was a horrible experience. I was charged $1,600 and received nothing. It was highly annoying but switching from a reputable freelancing site should've been the biggest red flag. After a dispute that sided more with the freelancer, I received a small $300.00 refund and ate the remainder of the cost. This wasn't the worst part though.

ITHire kept reauthorizing recurring payments of $400.00/weekly after the project was cancelled. They reauthorized payments three times between the months of May 2023-February 2024. I was able to catch most of them before the charges were taken out of my account. The first one, I didn't catch, but I was fully refunded through PayPal.

February 2024, I had enough and had my account with ITHire deleted. I received confirmation that my account removal request was processed and approved.

November 4, 2024, my canceled project from my deleted ITHire account was updated, reauthorized, and weekly recurring payments of $4,000.00 were added through PayPal. That same day, they successfully took $4,000.00 from my account.

When I reached out to them regarding this matter, they gave me the same response that others on this page received:

"Upon investigation, we discovered that the charge was due to previously added hours by one of your freelancers, which had not been cleared from the system. We have since corrected this mistake by removing the hours in question and have initiated a reversal of the charge to your card."

This is word-for-word what others who have been scammed from this site have reported. Then it went radio silent and no proof of refund being initiated was sent via PayPal or through ITHire. All of my emails and questions were ignored.

I opened a case against them via PayPal and received a response from them three days later stating "The refund for the full amount of $4,000.00 is being processed in multiple transactions to your PayPal account. However, please note that the funds will only be released once PayPal closes the open case related to this transaction."

From what I've read, it seems others have received a similar response from ITHire staff as some have reported that they canceled their PayPal case and then ITHire staff ignored them and didn't issue the refund.

Like others, all of my questions regarding how they still have my billing information, why I was charged when my account was deleted, and how to keep this from happening again are all blatantly ignored.

They've sent me a refund of $100.00 and still owe me $3,900.00.

These funds were illegally stolen from my PayPal account despite no longer having an account with ITHire.

Those who have accounts with ITHire or who have had accounts in the past, CHECK YOUR STATEMENTS REGULARLY. They will try to take funds from you randomly by reactivating your account without authorization. It doesn't matter if you canceled automatic payments through their website or removed your account with them entirely, they keep your card/PayPal information.

I will update on this case after it has concluded. I just wanted to warn others since it seems that they have a random influx of 5 star reviews all of a sudden.

UPDATE: PayPal refunded me, thankfully.

If you've had an account with IT Hire (even if it's deleted) be sure that PayPal removes them from your account. Deleting your account and/or cancelling authorized payments on ITHire's website does nothing. They can still update, reauthorize, and take payments from your PayPal account without sending you any emails or notices from IT Hire about the upcoming transaction.

Stay alert and watch your PayPal account if you decide to continue with this company.

Initially, I hired freelancers on another platform, but the new resource turned out to be much more convenient. I reached out to Viktoriia for IT consultation, and she provided valuable advice that helped me optimize processes in the company.

I recommend it to anyone looking for professionals. Ithire has simplified the hiring process and made it more efficient. I am already planning new projects and will turn to this platform again.
