Very poor quality site
Very poor quality site. Recycled members, extremely high number of scam accounts, customer service none existent, antiquated log and user experience, difficult to terminate service, just a all around horrible lousy site. Try elsewhere couldn’t do worse
They kept charging my credit card after…
They kept charging my credit card after my account was closed. I kept receiving monthly charges for 6 months after even though they have sent me email saying my account is closed and I fulfilled the agreement they still charging my credit card. I ended up having to change my credit card number which is a gigantic pain never do business with match.com
This was the worst experience ever!!
This was the worst experience ever. I was paying for the diamond package and after resetting my password I couldn't see any likes or messages. After multiple emails back and forth I purchased a week just to see my messages while waiting for a resolution. I cancelled the one week. Long story short I continued being charged for both with no resolution 😡!!! And you can't physically talk to anyone! This went on for over a month!
The Senior Olympics with Too Many Ghosts
I signed up for a Match membership last week and registered for a full year. Within hours, my inbox lit up with “matches” brimming with flattery. I’m 82—flattering, yes, but also… suspicious.
Typically, after two or three days of copious flattery, my phone number will be requested. I politely decline and tell them I prefer to meet people before providing my number. Poof!!! Almost every profiler that asked then immediately and mysteriously vanishes. Like clockwork.
Then there are problems with the profiles themselves. Apparently, joining Match.com means I joined the Senior Olympics. I get an 85-year-old hang glider, downhill ski racers, and a fleet of octogenarians posing with jet skis, motorcycles, and sailboats. Huh? As a medical person, I'm skeptical.
One gentleman claimed only an Associate of Arts degree and says he founded and ran an engineering firm for 30+ years. Sure.
After a bunch of messages that felt more AI than human, I tried to cancel. Customer service? The only “person” I could find was named “Jessica” and who wanted to sell me a medical alert device. I’m not convinced Jessica exists. Failing that, "customer service" tried to sell a Medicare Advantage plan, then a free phone.
And here’s the kicker: you can “cancel”… NOW. But are you still responsible for the remaining installment payments for the AI flattery already provided?
Final verdict: If you’re looking for romance, you may instead find disappearing admirers, extreme-sports octogenarians, and a billing policy that may stick around longer than any match.
UPDATE:
I tried Match for 9 days. The nine-day membership cost at least a quarter of the annual membership. But I decided Match wasn’t for me, and shared my experience on TrustPilot.
Although Match allowed me to cancel… It’s still unclear exactly what was cancelled. My confirmation says the "subscription has been cancelled," but the "last day of your subscription will be 4/23/2027" (a year from now). And Match informed me that I'd still be billed $57.80 every two weeks for the next three billing cycles.
Membership cancelled—but payments… active?
THE SAGA CONTINUES:
About 12 hours after posting my review on TrustPilot, I get a curt message from Match: my account was “BANNED AND REMOVED.” So I file the appeal form, requesting the reason for the account being banned.
Observation: If you want to end your Match membership immediately (and not wait a year), post your experience on Trustpilot.
I'm left wondering: Will Match keep charging me even though they've banned me and removed my account?
UPDATE 2: THE PLOT DEEPENS
Just when I thought this couldn’t get weirder… it did.
As you recall, Match banned and removed my account after I shared my Match experience on TrustPilot. Fine. But when I followed up with my appeal, they responded: “We couldn’t find a Match account linked to the email address you're contacting us from.”
This is the same email address they’ve been using to send me every single communication so far.
And they also added, “We’re unable to process appeals submitted with an incorrect email address.”
So let me get this straight:
They message me… with the same email address they've always used?
They can find me to tell me my account has been banned, removed, and invalid for an appeals response… but not to help me understand their reasoning in all of this?
SWEET ENDING!!!
A couple of days ago, I shared the sad Match.com story with my credit card company.
I just received a notice from them that: "We're pleased to let you know that your dispute has been resolved...."
The credit card company reversed the $57.80 charge.

I was using my account and something went wrong with it. I went back in to reconnect my phone number will not verify. This happened hrs after purchased two different products from them. Also I have done everything they have asked me to do and has been going on for 4 days with no reply. I am
Getting an attorney in the morning because they have messed with the wrong one. I even immediately asked for a refund with no reply. But I want y’all to watch how I handle this. They have no idea who I am.
Thought I'd start a new chapter
Thought I'd start a new chapter and joined match.com with a new email address.
A seemingly good deal of £9.99p per month for 6 months was on offer so added that toy new site.
NO such luck!
My new profile is still frosted photos with no access and Match have not responded to my emails.
So is that fraud are they just crap?
Just like previous reviews
Just like previous reviews, always demanding an upgrade. Very unfriendly interface. Wasted money.
Another Moneybag Scam
I was on Match many years ago. Then it was a good site.
It was real with real people and profiles. Now it has become a total scam. It should be nuked or worse. Of the many sites I have tried and investigated. Most of them are scams also. I hope that someone like (law abiding citizen) will pay them a visit. Your comments?
Thanks for reading

I have been on for 3 weeks and have encountered 4 scammers. Not what it used to be.
What a rip-off!
What a rip-off! High cost. Lots of beggars, thieves and scoundrels! Fake profiles, liars and imposters.

If you don't subscribe to something, then they will lock your account and demand that you provide your credit card number and pay $5 to talk to customer service. I can go on

It’s obvious almost all the women on this site start off normal and say some nice things, then will direct you off the site to what’s app and other apps, they try to build trust and then everyone of them before you ever meet them has a financial emergency and ask for money, some ask for Apple Card’s, gift cards, etc. I noticed a lot are not from the USA but foreign countries. I’ve had to cut contact and block many of them immediately because your on a dating site to date, not financially support people.
Awful company
Awful company, beware match. Com has several partners, I had the unfortunate luck to use one of their sister companies westcountry singles. The site I pretty much run by "bots".. Who will gradually fleece you of money, with no actual chance of dating anyone, full of fake profiles, THIS COMPANY NEEDS SHUTTING DOWN AND THE DIRECTORS HELD RESPONSIBLE IT'S ACTUALLY FRAUD AND THEFT
Ugh!
Unless you have a paid membership there are no perks whatsoever. Also, the screen is extremely touch sensitive and accidental swiping occurs before you can scroll thru a single profile.
New customer and Blocked for nothing
I justcl signed up (new customer) and I was automatically blocked for No reason. I downloaded pictures and I cannot even delete my account. Trying to reach customer care is a freaking joke. Smh I should have never signed up
Tried out Match.com
Tried out Match.com. Entered most of the initial required info. Saw 1 possible "match". Clicked on the browser's back arrow. Immediately I was kicked out of Match.com & when I tried to login again, I received the message "Access to your account has been blocked by Match. If you believe you received this message in error, please contact Customer Care." I contacted Customer Care and received the response:
"We have reviewed your account for a ban appeal and determined that you have violated our Terms and Conditions or Community Guidelines.
As a result, your account will remain banned; this decision is final."
No valid reason was given - very unprofessional of them - do not use Match.com!
Cancelled my subscription
Match.com is like the Hotel California. You can get in but you can't get out. They're still trying to bill me for a past subscription.
I paid for a 6-month subscription
I paid for a 6-month subscription, but lost access after only 3 months and couldn’t log in again. I reached out to customer support, but received no response. Very disappointing experience—I would not recommend it.
