They are so bad with their supposed expertise in delivery services.
I had 3 delivery dates confirmed with a vague slot PM, no one ever showed up

Left us without sitting room furniture for 2 weeks and counting

Absolute joke of a company. I would give zero stars if I could. I have had 3 dates given for delivery now and no furniture has arrived. We removed our old furniture in advance of the first date, so we have now had no sofas for more than 2 weeks. They don't answer emails or the phone and we are now stuck with the option of cancelling our DFS order or waiting til god knows when for this useless company to get their finger out and deliver our furniture.

EDIT: Since I can't reply to Megan's comment below, the only thing I can do is edit this review. She asks that I contact customer support, completely missing my point that CUSTOMER SUPPORT DO NOT REPLY TO EMAILS OR PICK UP THE PHONE.

I have been promised by DFS that their head office is now trying to contact Humber to no avail. They have had the excuse that Humbers phone lines are not working - reading the rest of the reviews here and on Google, this seems to be Humbers go-to excuse.

Avoid this company if you can.

Update 30th Jan.
Still no sign of delivery or meaningful contact from Humber. They have sent 2 emails in the past few days, one saying our furniture would be delivered today (it was not) and another saying our furniture had been successfully delivered (it was not).

Humber are absolutely the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

Dreadful communication

I bought a couch on line from DFS as an express delivery on October 19th, on November 19th it was finally delivered by Humber services but to the wrong address with no attempt to contact me by telephone to confirm my address.
I contacted them several times as I received many emails after this saying it would be delivered and it never came
It is now January and even though a representative named Megan assured me on the telephone that I would have the couch for Christmas I still don't have it...I spoke to a different person at Humber today who thinks the couch will be outsourced to another company for delivery but he couldn't give me any details

Absolutely, horrible and shocking experience with this company ...they even emailed me on Christmas Day to say it was coming on December 26 th.....I have never dealt with such an unprofessional company
Always check when purchasing from big companies regarding their delivery service .....avoid Humber Services at all cost....full of excuses and empty apologies....still no couch

Humber Delivery Services

Humber Delivery Services: Disgraceful Service - Avoid at All Costs

I recently had a scheduled sofa delivery from DFS, which was handled by Humber Delivery Services. The experience was nothing short of disastrous. The driver arrived at my property, approached the entrance, and then inexplicably turned around and drove away.

The tracking system, however, indicated that the sofa had been delivered! I immediately tried to contact Humber Delivery Services, but their customer service and transport departments were unreachable.

This was an incredibly frustrating experience. I strongly advise anyone considering using DFS to avoid choosing Humber Delivery Services as their carrier. Their lack of professionalism and customer service is unacceptable.

Wait for the Simba delivery on a 23 of December, reschedule on a 9th of January and surprise de van broke down!! Shitty costumer service, no one answer the phone or email!! 1 star just coz I can't give 0 stars!! Sorry Simba order cancel thanks this you've lost 2500£

Awful

Awful! They cancelled my first delivery slot on the 19th after I had spent the entire afternoon waiting for them, saying that they had received the wrong item. And then they cancelled it today too because they broke down. No one even answers the telephone! Very frustrating!

2 Failed Deliveries

I'm now hoping for '3rd time lucky' for Humber to deliver my sofa when they decide what date they may do in future.
 
They've had my sofa since early December and my initial appointment was booked for 18/12. On this date, they didn’t show up and I received no communication regarding this. Whilst it's difficult to speak to a member of their team as their phone line cuts off after 15 minutes; I managed to get through a few days later. Whilst I am more than understanding, an apology for having no sofas and a day of unpaid leave would have been appreciated.
 
I wish I could say the next date was promptly arranged but that date is today; 22 days later.
 
Today, I have taken another day off work to receive the following text:
 
"Hi, Our vehicle broke down en route to you. We're waiting for the AA to check if it can be fixed roadside. We'll update you soon. Thank you for understanding. Kind Regards, [Your Name]"
 
From the '[Your Name]', it tells me this is a pre written template. What sort of company has a pre made template ready to send to customers to advise their waiting on the AA?

I have of course since received their follow up text to confirm that they will not deliver today. Whilst I am thankful to be notified on this occasion, the text did make me laugh as I had little faith that they will deliver today anyway.
 
Absolutely horrendous and I'm yet again at their mercy to dictate a new date in which I hope doesn't make me wait another 22 days for a no show but we will see.

4 star????Got to be joking

4 star????Got to be joking. Absolute disgrace. Kept cancelling delivery slots with little or no warning or not even turning up. Customer service non existent.. won't pick up phone or answer emails

Bunch of cowboys

They’ve had my sofa since beginning of December, for deliver on 24th Dec. Which didn’t happen due to “broken down lorry”. Then - they all go on annual leave until the 6th January! Sofa delivery was rescheduled to today - and😭…. Sorry, “Driver Sickness” means we can’t deliver.

What a bunch of cowboys - this was a DFS order, so now cancelling order

Avoidance required

cancelled delivery, don’t reply or acknowledge emails, driver had to deliver 5 packages and managed to get only 2 of them correct the other 3 belonged to other customers, who knows where mine went to, contacted driver to tell him his mistake said he would call me back and guess what…didn’t…nor have “customer services “ at this woeful delivery company responded either, and their incompetence costs the company they are delivering for money and reputation and me the customer inconvenience and time…I have been involved in the furniture industry for 40 years and if this company are deliverers with a “white glove”service then I am Demi Moore, (no disrespect to Demi)…avoid them like the owners avoid responsibility…and like the driver does

Absolutely shocking service

Absolutely shocking service. Order placed in November, after 2 weeks no updates. So I had to chase for delivery. then order partially delivered (missing headboard) and after multiple chases and promises of deliveries, with me arranging to be at home twice I have just had a text saying order won't be delivered due to stock issue. Full payment has been taken and no customer service seem able to tell me what is happening.

25 days for a VIP delivery

Ordered Simba mattress Dec 21st with VIP delivery service. Despite multiple emails, voicemails, and calls, communication has been incredibly poor. Paying for VIP delivery only to wait almost a month for the delivery date defeats the purpose. Very disappointed with the service and communication standards.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Horrendous delivery service

Horrendous delivery service, don’t use them if you can help it! Have had our sofa since the 12th December but still no sign of delivery. Getting hold of them is a task in itself. Been promised call backs but haven’t had them. Been promised dates they will come but no one has arrive. They also fraudulently signed for the sofa saying it had been delivered by my partner when it hadn’t. Notes keep changing on the tracking. Do yourselves a favour and use a better delivery service than these cowboys.

Brad and Josh arrived had driven my…

Brad and Josh arrived had driven my sofa in extreme weather down from Rotherham to London. DFS said they carry up the stairs but was actually not the case. Normally they’d take it back as that’s what there told but when they found out that I had nothing else to sit on carried it up the 2 flats of stairs going above and beyond. DFS should be ashamed as I told the agent in store it will need going up 2 flights of stairs and she convinced me this isn’t an issue that’s what we do. Basically to earn there commission on selling the sofa to me.

Ridiculous service

Ridiculous service! Waiting for my orders from Simba and they chose this Humber service to do the delivery!!! The worst decision they had done! Almost 2 months of waiting until now it hasn’t arrived! And the orders were paid already! And it is in their storage sitting and getting dusty!!!! Don’t get this service ever for delivery! November 22nd orders was placed and until now, nothing!

Cowboy outfit

Very poor company. Poor customer service. Do not respond to communication. Ignoring complaints. Frequently do not deliver. Timeframes excruciatingly long. I am still awaiting a delivery from them. New expected delivery date will mean time from when Simba Sleep passed my products to them and delivery will be over 4 weeks. Let’s hope they have stored the products correctly. From reading other reviews, this is a frequent issue. Why companies continue to contract them and be happy to be represented by a cowboy outfit.

Worst service ever.. I wouldn't even call it a service!

I ordered a couch and chair from DFS in mid November 2024 with a GUARANTEED Christmas delivery. That's why I ordered this furniture. I got an email from Humber to say my delivery would be happening on 17th Dec. I took the day off work just to be there. I waited and waited and no delivery. I sent an email to Humber wondering where was my delivery and they said due to a technical error I wouldn't be getting furniture that day. There was a number of angry emails exchanged. I had no couch for Christmas and had to cancel my Christmas as I was due 8 guests and they had nowhere to sit. On Christmas day at 18.04 I got another email from Humber to say they would be delivering on 26th Dec....same story they never turned up or even had the manners to sat they weren't coming. I got another email yesterday to say they would deliver today 29th Dec. I waited all day again and no show from Humber, no email or no communication at all. I am sitting on the floor of a bare room as I write this text. My whole Christmas has been ruined and I will be taking action against DFS and Humber

Delivery expected 14th December waited…

Delivery expected 14th December waited in all day no one turned up. Contacted them via email no response and offices closed when I phoned.

New date set 28th December again no one turned up again offices closed when I phoned them.

Delivery turned up 29th December this time unannounced when I was out, I had to rush home to take delivery to then be told they did not know how to put my sofa together which I paid for.

Honestly shocking service and I have now complained to DFS about your service.

Would give 0 stars if I could

Would give 0 stars if I could. Failed to deliver on two occasions on behalf of simba. No communication at all. If you order anything for simba of dfs or any furniture company and Humber is delivering it run a mile, it’s not worth the stress. You have been warned!
