When I first walked into the HSL store, I was greeted with a friendly smile. I was looking for a chair where I could sit in comfort without back pain. It was very busy so all I needed was information and advice. I was taken to a super petite Burrows chair and was amazed. This chair, I thought, was made just for me. I returned a few days later to buy this fabulous chair. I took delivery of it 2 weeks ago and cannot believe the difference it has made. I can now sit in comfort all day long, if I had the chance, without suffering discomfort. I highly recommend HSL, not only for the quality of the chairs, but also for the wonderful staff. So incredibly friendly and, more importantly, knowledgeable. The armchair was delivered by two courteous, friendly and efficient men from Craig Robinson. Fantastic service all round!!

Had two separate home visits from Nottingham, namely by Gill & Russ and then Andrea & Vic. On both occasions we found them knowledgeable, efficient and helpful and not at all pushy. So pleasant to have such excellent service. Now eagerly awaiting the delivery of our two chairs. Highly recommended!

After spending a leisurely hour and a half trying out and discussing options with knowledgeable and friendly staff at their Nottingham showroom, ordered a riser-recliner and a standard armchair to replace my old, worn three-piece suite. They both arrived three weeks later and installed into my living room quickly and courteously (by Ian & Paul). The chairs are very comfortable and adaptable, and look very fine. Thanks to all for your great service.

Simply stunning service and quality of the chair is exceptional. I purchased it for my 90 year old father who has been in a nursing home following a fall.The lady at the showroom was so helpful and they even took a few chairs to the nursing home for Dad to try. The customer care has been exceptional and it’s great to know the chairs are made in Britain too. I highly recommend HSL for anyone looking for well made Chairs and beds designed to make life comfortable and especially viable for the elderly to help them remain at home and be as independent as possible. The service was really good from bringing half a dozen chairs to our home for my partner to try,although he had a specific one in mind, to the final delivery. As the chair was made to order in Germany the whole time was no more than 8 weeks on total , chair was delivered yesterday kept well informed and it actually turned up earlier than advised my partner is well impressed all in all customer service was great

I made arrangements for a home visit 11/08/2025 to demonstrate a riser recliner for my disabled wife and was given a demonstration by Gillian and Ross. They explained what buttons worked what and showed how everything worked. We current placed an order for a riser recliner with material to match our other furniture. The recliner was delivered 11/09/2025 by Ian and Paul who assembled and checked that things worked as they should. They where polite and dismantled our existing recliner with no quibbles. My wife an I have used HSL previously and are more than satisfied with the service received. Would recommend to anyone thinking of using their furniture.

I was met by Sheenagh, at the Nottingham store, a lovely patient lady and at no time during my visit did I feel pressurised. I look forward to receiving my choice of recliner, together with my two seater settee in the next 6 - 8 weeks.

They brought a chair for me to try out in my own home. The one made for me was ready much more quickly than I expected. The two lots of staff I met were efficient, caring and courteous. The riser recliner is very comfortable and just what I need.

From the moment of ringing up and enquiring about a chair, the people at HSL are so kind and helpful. It’s lovely that you can talk to someone.
The whole team were efficient from bring sample chairs and fabric, keeping us in the loop along the way. With a few little extra gifts.
Paul and Ciaron delivered our beautiful chair and set it up in the living room. They were on time and very polite.

HSL., supplies very comfortable electric riser/ recliner chairs. I have recently taken delivery of a Aysgarth dual motor chair. I’am delighted with it! From the date of order to delivery was just four-weeks. The Sales Team made a Home Visit, bringing a chair with them. This visit, immediately offered me an instant discount on any order that I made! They also brought teabags and good quality biscuits for a “brew”. There is absolutely NO high pressure sales from the Sales Staff. The quality of craftsmanship , and materials used in the manufacture, together with the shear comfort of their chairs is enough to “sell” the chairs! I recommend this organisation wholeheartedly. The purchasing experience was most pleasing. The delivery team with Chris and Terry, took extreme care with the delivery of the chair and assembly into the room of my choice. They showed respect for my property. Most pleasing.

Easy to order as already had purchased one chair. Just repeated the order as they had all our info at the Nottingham store. Well communicated with delivery info and was delivered and assembled quickly and easily. Demonstrated controls and were professional throughout. Would highly recommend HSL in the future.

After a few visits and conversations with David, we made the right choice on bed and reclining chair. David was excellent and we would recommend the Stapleford branch to any member of the public,it was first class service.
