We were very impressed with the Rickman team from start to finish. Fred Rickman himself carried out the survey and made sure that everything was correct. His team of specialist plumbers and electricians were brilliant. Friendly, tidy, nothing too much trouble, punctual and very knowledgeable. The system has now been operating for four months giving plenty of how water and we are delighted with it. We'd be happy to recommend this company to anyone living in or near Bristol.

Ben and his team were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Pre install communication was excellent. They turned up to start the install when they said they would, finished before they said they would and the standard of work was excellent. If you want a heat pump designed and installed, Evergreen Heating & Cooling should be your first call.

Professional, polite, easy to talk to and knowledgeable. They cleaned up everyday and tried to minimise disruption. The install was great and they explained how the system worked, the set up and how it would be tweaked remotely to perfect the operation; very satisfied.

Heat Geek assessed the house, it's insulation, windows, external doors and used their Heat Geek tool to assess the heat loss and the system requirements, which resulted in no radiators replaced and I could have kept the hot water tank, but chose to replace it as it was 26 years old. My home (4 bed detached) is now heated by a Vaillant 5kw aeroTHERM Pro heat pump and we're happy with the result.

It was great to use an installer through Heat Geek because we knew they had been through their accreditation process and would be able to guarantee the efficiency of the installation.

The only thing which slightly let Heat Geek down was that it was difficult to get all the information I wanted, since I'm the type of person who likes to dig into the detail of the proposal and know exactly what it's based on, including things like heat loss assumptions and calculations. While I realise not every customer would want this, it would have been good for there to be and option to get a detailed PDF design stage report rather than just the headline figures on the website. Likewise with the cost breakdown. We had to spend a bit of time going back and forth with the installer which could have been avoided if we'd had all the information up front.

Nevertheless, I'd still recommend people look at Heat Geek if they're thinking of getting a heat pump. It adds a level of trust that you can't get when you approach firms, not knowing whether they have your (and the planet's!) best interests at heart.

JRD were excellent throughout. They agreed and installation date, arrived as agreed and worked solidly through the 3 days. Although the job includes some outside construction work it was done neatly and their ideas for placement of the heat pump meant that we ended up with a superb installation. They always went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy with everything. When finished the area was cleared and the site left tidy and looking better than it did before! Certainly a 5 star service from a 5 star firm!

Heat Geek’s service was excellent with clear planning and effective communication. Documents were processed quickly and confirmed. There was practically nothing for me to do in getting the various permissions except agree. I made a change to the model of heat pump wanted and this was done immediately. Following the install they checked to see that it was completed to their high standards before signing it off. All in all and excellent service.

From the initial survey to the completion of the install plus follow up calls and remote access to adjust as necessary the team have been excellent.
Heat Geek have developed extremely good software to ensure that the install suits the house correctly. This is also monitored remotely after completion of the install.

After several years of researching heat pumps and watching the market mature, we finally decided to make the move as part of a wider renewable energy upgrade alongside a new solar PV installation.

We believed renewables should form and important part of our household's future and could provide both environmental and financial benefits. As part of my research, I followed Heat Geeks on YouTube, watching installation videos and technical discussions.

When the time came, we obtained three quotations, including one through our energy supplier. Although Greenlands Energy wasn't the cheapest option, they were our local Heat Geeks installer and we wanted to understand what set them apart.

Maldwyn carried out our survey, spending several hours assessing the property and discussing the options available to us. It was thorough, informative and reassuring. He listened patiently to my many questions and fully understood our priorities, particularly my wife's wish to avoid lifting floors, replacing microbore pipework or ending up with extensive visible plumbing.

The proposal closely matched our aspirations and, together with the Heat Geeks 5-year efficiency guarantee, gave us the confidence to proceed. Installation began just a week after our solar system was completed. From the outset, the team were professional, organised and considerate. Jay, who supervised the project, explained what would happen and when, while ensuring our home was properly protected before any work began. Kirk and McCauley quickly became familiar faces during the installation, carrying out much of the day-to-day work.

The removal of our old Worcester Bosch gas boiler happened surprisingly quickly and was the moment our journey to becoming gas-free suddenly felt very real. Throughout the project we felt fully involved in every decision. As with any major installation, unforeseen challenges arose, but Greenlands always explained the options clearly and worked with us to achieve the best outcome.

The biggest challenge involved fitting our chosen 300L Vaillant UniSTOR cylinder into the airing cupboard. While it fitted the space on paper, manoeuvring it into position proved difficult. Rather than compromising with a smaller cylinder, the team worked through the problem and found a practical solution involving minor alterations to the doorway, allowing us to keep the larger unit. Once the decision was made, Kirk and McCauley completed the installation quickly and professionally. Matthew carried out the removal of the old gas flue and worked alongside our solar installers so the final roof panel could be fitted.

The finished roof repairs were excellent. Geraint and Sean then completed the electrical installation. What particularly impressed me was that neatness and aesthetics were clearly prioritised over speed. Cables, controls and associated equipment were installed with great care and attention to detail.

The team also replaced four radiators and relocated two at our request. Before installation began, the office team informed us that we would receive and upgrade to the latest-generation Vaillant aroTHERM Plus 8kW system and ancillaries, as our project coincided with the launch of the new model. This was a welcome bonus.

Jay attended the initial start-up, with Kirk overseeing the final stages, and we were immediately impressed by how quickly the system heated the large hot water cylinder. Final commissioning was completed by Joel and Chris, who ensured everything was operating correctly and answered our many questions.

What stood out most throughout the project was the quality of the people. Every member of the Greenlands team was knowledgeable, friendly, respectful and clearly took pride in their work. Our home was left tidy at the end of every day, with waste removed promptly and work areas cleaned. They even found time to replace and ageing garage tap and associated pipework.

Going gas-free was a significant decision, but Greenlands Energy made the experience straightforward and enjoyable. We now have and excellent heating and hot water system installed with genuine care and attention to detail.

Without hesitation, we wholeheartedly recommend Greenlands Energy. As a Heat Geeks-approved installer, they demonstrated exactly why reputation matters.

I had my heating pump install last week and I'm really happy with the results. I had a survey with the installer to see if a heat pump would work for me and then paid my deposit before arranging a suitable date. Michael, our installer, certainly knows his stuff and he let me know if anything needed doing my end before the job started i.e. making sure I had suitable fencing in order to pass a sound proofing test. The job itself took a bit longer than expected due to my thick walls, but Michael was diligent, paid great attention to detail, and the standard of work was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and he kept me informed along the way. I'm a few days in from the install being finished and I'm really happy so far. The app lets me see what is going on and the system works well with my solar and battery set up. It's the beginning of May so it's taken the edge of the chilly mornings and is still costing me almost nothing and that includes the hot water. It will be interesting to see how it performs in the winter and what the costs are like but remember that the heat pump gives you a comfortable but constant warmth, not fiercely hot radiators. I am so glad I went with Heat Geek for my heat pump installation. Replacing an ancient Baxi back boiler was a big step, but the installation went very smoothly with only minimal disruption.

The Vaillant heat pump itself is performing brilliantly—our home is consistently cosy, and we have plenty of domestic hot water whenever we need it. Heat Geek also did a clever job fitting the new hot water cylinder and all the necessary equipment directly into our old airing cupboard, keeping everything neat and out of the way.

Best of all, our fuel bills have been cut by nearly half compared to the old system. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a professional, top-tier heat pump installation!

I am very pleased with the service l received from this company after an initial Hiccup with regards to dates for installation, has not reached the SCOPE promised ie 4.11 this has not been achieved so the system will need to be tweeted l had a heat pump installed on 30th March 2026 by this company and work done by Liam, Callum, and there team from the initial Design done by Luke Russell and l would Definitely recommend Heat Geek as they are the industry leaders in this area of expertise
