We bought a Canon EOS R50v Creator Kit from here, as we wanted to support the newly opened store in Sutton Coldfield rather than go elsewhere. I wish we'd gone elsewhere! The staff working here, although lovely, completely clueless about the product! Also, when we got to the counter, the one member of staff said, oh, the product has gone up, but we'll match the price as displayed! Next issue was that they only had a display product to give us, and so decided to offer us a camera bag at half price, so £35 instead of £70! However once we got it home we realised it wasn't a camera bag at all, but a flight bag for a drone! In the store there was lots of faffing about trying to fit the display camera into the correct box with all the relevant bits and bobs. We were assured everything was in the box but when we got home we found that the lens cap was missing, as was the protector for the camera itself leaving the internal gubbins exposed to the elements. To cap it off there was also no electrical lead for the charge. So, all in all a complete mess up from start to finish and I wished we'd gone to Currys instead or bought on line!

Excellent service from start to finish. Very informative with a wide choice of products and purchase options to suit different needs and budgets. Special thanks to Conor, the sales assistant, who was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and patient throughout. Highly recommend!

I like the new shop and our first trip was a big success. It was a nice change to the frustrations of shopping on that big internet retailer's site and even cheaper.

Very poor experience post purchase and wish I'd not bothered to go to the new store.
Went to purchase a Barista Coffee machine, found it wasn't in stock but the sales assistant said there was one at Merry Hill and it could be despatched that day or the day after. So I purchased it on that basis. No DPD details or despatch updates were received over the next few days and the customer services chatbot was next to useless as it wouldn't associate my email with an order, despite the invoice clearly having the correct email. Emailed Customer services and and filled out the automated contact form online, but to no avail as I had no response.
Finally managed to get a number for Gracechurch and they didn't know why it hadn't been despatched. Very poor from a new store where I'd spent £600 on a product on display and still haven't received after 6 days, and nor likely for at least another 3-5 days as that is the standard delivery time. I was planning on buying a new bed and more sitting and dining room furniture but not after this experience. Was looking forward to this new store,but I will stay away from it now.
Update
After contacting Customer Services, they chased up the order and didn't know where the glitch occurred but apologised for the delay. The machine is now confirmed as arriving by DPD tomorrow...a week after I paid for it.
Wasn't offered any explanation or any form of compensation for the delay. Think I'll stay away because of this experience and go to a trusted department store.

They are over the top nice (very false) when trying to make a sale but like different people if you raise an issue. They were patronising and accused me of being a liar, spend your money elsewhere

We visited Harvey Norman Sutton Coldfield on Sunday 3rd May. We were very impressed with the service we had when we made a purchase from the electrical department. We were served by Jake who was very polite and very knowledgeable about the product we purchased

The customer service from Lisa was warm, friendly and knowledgeable. It was a pleasurable shopping experience.

Jake was very friendly and knowledgeable and gave us a small reduction for our purchases!

A wonderful store a breath of fresh air where it is necessary. A bright airy store, lots of light, friendly atmosphere as you walk through the doors. I was looking for a new mattress, Kieran spoke to me and showed me those that matched my requirements with his help made a purchase. Well done Kieran, excellent care of the customer. All the staff we met were eager to help but not over pushy. We returned soon after our first visit and a very helpful, knowledgeable and personable assistant called Simon guided us through our purchase. We weren’t rushed and it felt good to buy something in person.

The Sales Associate was professional approachable and extremely knowledgable about the item I purchased, which was an electric oven. Gave clear information on pricing structure and delivery.

I visited the store as a passing customer and was greeted by Sophia. She was incredibly professional, answered all my questions clearly, and had such a bubbly, friendly personality. Visited the new Harvey Norman store in Sutton , on the Monday after opening . Had a wonderful experience , whilst looking in the electrical department at the Dyson airwraps . I only popped up to have a look at them , whilst my husband was at the till downstairs . I wondered if they may be on display to see how heavy or light they are to hold , due to problems with my joints . Whilst I was looking a lovely sales assistant came over and advised me that that a particular colour was on offer due to the store opening at such a good price £199 instead of the usual nearly 500 pounds. I asked her about what they could do and included and she showed me on her own hair how the worked . In was really amazing and great to see them in action . She answered all my questions honestly and easily and was a pleasure to talk too . It was lovely to hear about her own hair and her experience using them , which I could relate too . I went down to ask my husband straight away and he brought them for me. I used them four times since and they are wonderful for my fine hair . I really needed something gentle to use now whilst going through the menopause . I really enjoy using them and trying the different styles on the app videos , for my new bob haircut . I can’t thank Grey enough , the excellent young sales assistant that helped me that day. Thankyou again Grey for your kind care and attention 😊💕🙏xx
