Just got around to writing the review. Had my 16 solar panels and 15kw Ecoflow batteries installed 28/10/24. From start the finish it has been a smooth ride. Halo was recommended to me by a friend. Matt was alway available on the other line even when he was on holiday in Dubai. Tommy was helpful and had my certificates turn around within a week. I had 10 quotes including the big boys and my local council run scheme and Halo and another installer came out head to head and it was difficult choosing between them however halo won through with offering Ecoflow batteries over GivEnergy batteries. The scaffolding went up over the weekend and the ground team Brad & Tomasz arrived Monday morning at 9am and had all the work done by 6pm. The guys were very professional and knowledgeable they even helped clean my gutters and assisted me putting gutter guards on after they had completed the installation. The only gripe I would have is that they didn’t clean up completely and I found nails and wiring for weeks afterwards and having a dog this wasn’t ideal however I would still recommend Halo and will use them again as I plan to have additional batteries installed in the future. A very trustworthy and professional company and deliver what they promise and no hard sales. The scaffolding team were great and took it down within a week of the work completing.

I was impressed by their professionalism workmanship and service. They even contacted me after a few days to check I was happy with the system and everything was operating OK. Also checking if I had any questions on operation etc.

Had a 10kW ground mounted system installed in my paddock coupled with 15kW of battery storage. Non pushy sales from Matthew. Second to none office staff answering any questions I’ve had (Tommy) and an impeccable installation completed by the lads: Jim, Brad & Tomasz.

Had my 14 panels and 5kw Ecoflow Battery and Inverter installed today. System is working perfectly and by 4pm I was 94% off grid already!

Tomasz and Bradley were excellent from start to finish, leaving the place cleaner than they arrived and also making real care to make the system aesthetically pleasing and neat. Very impressed with the workmanship and quality so far. Scaffolding due to come down the day after install!

Today I had a second GiveEnergy battery installed to a system previously performed by E. On, the installation was neat but there were issues with the manufacturer software that delayed completion of the commissioning process.

James and Kenzie remained on site liaising with the manufacturer until the software issues were remotely resolved and the calibration process was underway.

James and Kenzie were friendly and professional and kept me fully informed as to exactly what was going on.

On my journey to find the best solar setup and installer for my home, I randomly had a call and a guest on a Saturday afternoon. That was my first interaction with Halo, and the guest was Elizabeth. By that time I already had 10 quotations, from all big energy companies and some local installers too. So I was not very eager, but by the end of our chat I was convinced to give them a chance. Kudos to Elizabeth, she made me feel that she was not trying to sell a specific product rather she was trying to provide pros and cons of many different setups (from different panels, inverters to optimisers), in addition to her being a passionate solar energy user. Oh, did I say Elizabeth came over by driving 2 hrs from Peterborough?

She started the desire in me to learn, understand and choose the best setup for my home. After a couple of back and forth with Elizabeth and Matthew (should say how prompt they were in responding!), I found the most suitable setup which none other installers even suggested. Additionally they sweetened that with a super good deal too!!

So my small home was waiting for the 17 Aiko panels optimised by Tigo optimizers integrated with a 15kwh Ecoflow battery and inverter (6kwh). It was not a long wait either, in 3 weeks time Tomasz was in front of my door at 8:00 to start putting the panels on my roof. And Brad came over a little later and started working on the installation of electrical bits. By 14:30, they were all done, should say how impressive, thorough, professional and cordial they were during the whole process. By the time they left, my panels were up and running and even my battery was 35% charged. It's 3 days now, and I am virtually off the grid until now. Did I forget to say that I am ready to export to Octopus flux already as Halo made my transition completely hassle free by doing all the paperwork in the background?

I really would like to thank Matthew, Elizabeth, Tomasz, Brad and others in Halo for such an excellent experience. We definitely need Halo to grow bigger if we want the UK to go BIG on the solar path. So, if you are starting your journey on the solar path, don't forget to say 'Hello to Halo'!

Very happy with the installation of my panels and batteries. The installation team were polite, friendly, and answered all my questions. All clean and tidy afterwards with Brad showing me how to install the operational apps and how to use them. All done on the day arriving at 8.30 exactly as I had been told. Documentation received by email the following day.

Great advice and information before installation and installation was very smooth. The guys were very clean, courteous and efficient, could not have done better. A very good price too! Thank you soo much - a positive experience from start to finish!

I had a PV&Battery system installed in August and the whole process was excellent. We discussed my needs over email and ultimately a site visit where Matthew walked me through several options. The quote was not the cheapest, but was in the same ballpark as others. Installation itself was all done very quickly, the install itself took two days (in the peak of a hot spell) and scaffolding was only up for a week, and I received all the documentation and certificates needed to export with Octopus Energy.

Since then, the system has been running very smoothly, without any hiccups. I had a support case open with the battery/inverter company because for some reason the timezone wasn't right. They requested support from Halo, who obliged and the timezone is now correct.

Long story short, I'm very happy with the system, the install and it's performance.

This review comes after a year and a half since we had solar panels and batteries supplied and fitted by Halo.

We've been thinking of getting solar panels for some time and researched several companies out of which Halo Renewables stands out as the best - honest and friendly throughout the entire process, with reasonably priced services. They offered us what we wanted, when many other companies failed to do so.

After a bit of a bumpy start (communication breakdown, scaffolding up for 3 months over Xmas period, etc) things went reasonably smoothly and we are happily enjoying the benefits of our new installation and savings that come with it.

Matthew has always been very supportive and helped us with all the post installation enquiries we had.

The whole process from start to finish was brilliant. The initial phone call and time provided to support myself in understanding the options was second to none. Matthew was available at all times and he was able to answer every question that I had with expert knowledge. The install team were brilliant from start to finish and waited until I returned home from work to explain the whole system, again going into superb detail. Every member of the team I have been in contact with have been so supportive and understanding. I couldn't be happier with the product I have and wouldn't wish for any other installer. If I need anything down the line Halo will certainly be getting my business over any other organisation. The upfront honesty from Matthew was a breath of fresh air. Thanks for everything.

I like the team from Halo, from Sales to Survey, and Installation, all showed professionally, and more importantly, they deliver the job correctly. I would recommend Halo to whoever is looking for a Sola system, at least worth a quote.

The initial sales consultation was provided by Elizabeth, who was able to accommodate a site visit on a Saturday, who provided great advice and put together a quote that met my energy needs.
Mathew and the rest of the team were fantastic, as well, answering my questions, often late at night.
The scaffolding went up really quickly the afternoon before, and was down the day after the install. Both Brad and Thomas were friendly, tidy and helpful. They installed the panels and battery without any issues and explained how the system worked. The after sales support has been great with my questions being answered within minutes.

I would definitely recommend Halo Renewables and will go through them in the future.
