Really happy with the system installed, during the whole process I had loads of questions which Matthew was always quick to respond to. He really took the time to talk me through everything and helped me understand how it all worked. The only small niggle was that the surveyor measured incorrectly, so on install day the proposed system wasn't possible and we needed to spread onto the garage as well. It wasn't really an issue, but I wish I'd known upfront so I could have informed my neighbour ahead (as it's a shared garage)
We are considering getting an additional battery which I would definitely to do through Halo. Everyone was incredibly friendly and hardworking

I recently had Halo Renewables install solar panels and a battery system at my home, and I am very impressed with their service.

The team at Halo Renewables took the time to thoroughly assess my energy needs, offering clear explanations and expert advice on the best solar solutions. Their attention to detail and transparency made me feel confident I was making the right choice.

Since the installation, I’ve noticed a significant reduction in my energy bills, and the battery system gives me peace of mind knowing I have backup power. The system is running perfectly, and I’m thrilled with the results.

Before finding Halo Renewables I'd already had a number of other quotes and based on lots of online research had decided exactly what I wanted. I posted on a FB solar group asking what sort of price I'd expect to pay for such a system and Matthew replied within minutes. I was impressed with his fast response, chatting via messenger in the evening and I had the full proposal the same day.

The site survey was carried out around a week after I gave the go ahead and then it was a short wait for the DNO response and installation date.

Installation was quick with Thomas up and down ladders with the panels and Jim in my garage fitting all the electrics with wiring through the loft. There was a small technical hitch with generation which didn't become evident until the day after commissioning but this was dealt with quickly and efficiently with another visit from Jim.

Tommy in the office dealt with the admin side of things and after the install all of the relevant certificates and the schematic diagram were sent very quickly.

Overall a very good experience with this family run business and I'd definitely recommend them.

I am writing this review after almost 2 weeks of installation. This was a brilliant job. I took quotes from 3 different companies. These guys were honest from the start and gave me a realistic quote. Other gave me a high quote then offered discounts. The process was simple and well handled by the team. The scaffolding was set as promised and the solar installation went smoothly. There was a small hiccup after the install but was professionaly and timely handled. Overall honest and trustworthy and will recommend them 100%!!

Repeat customer, extended my solar array, added larger battery storage and fitted an EV point.

They were reasonably priced, extremely fast at getting the scaffolding up and down, and Jim, the electrician, was really knowledgeable, professional and a good guy too. Went above and beyond.

Would highly recommend.

Sales made the process easy to work out what the system needed to be. Installation of the panels was quick and efficient. Wiring and inverter/battery installation was quick and accommodating. Everybody was extremely helpful and nice. The overall price was really good. Would highly recommend.

We had solar panels and batteries supplied and fitted by Halo four years ago. We were very happy with their service at the time and all are still working fabulously. We were so relieved especially over the last two winters and the rise in the cost of fuel that we had these fitted when we did! The communication with the company when we need need them remains very good after four years. Highly recommend!

Elizabeth arrived to form a quote and did a fantastic job of honestly articulating the benefits of solar panels, and explained the realistic expectations of the system. Impressed with the price (lower than local competitors), I went ahead.

The following really impressed me, enough so to leave this review:
- Halo have an MCS certificate for all the work. No other company I spoke to were honest with me regarding what they were able to do themselves. This meant no third-party contractors.

- Halo arrived, did a very efficient and effective job, and were gone 4 hours later. Amazingly quick, and stuck to their pledge to do it within a day.

- They insisted on putting the inverter and battery outside and explained the importance of this and their policy very well. It occurred to me that other companies were willing to put these items and the isolation switch in the loft which is unsafe.

- The system has remained completely reliable so far!

- The only negative point I have is that the bird-protection is higher than competitors, however the total price was still lower.

I had 14 solar panels, 2 GivEnergy 9.5kw batteries, an inverter and car charger installed about 6 months ago. Only now got around to writing a review about the service and solution installed. After 6 months I’ve had no real problems, just a few niggles with wifi connectivity and things going offline, but all could be resolved quickly with a reboot of the required device. The installation was completed in 1 day and the team were polite, courteous and very neat and tidy with all the work they undertook. Prior to going ahead with Halo I had received 6 different quotes, and while Halo were not the cheapest, I felt they proposed what would be the best solution based on my needs, rather than trying to sell me the best solution for them. This was my first experience with solar energy and based on the experience I had, would definitely use Halo again. Thanks to all the team who worked on my little project, I will be back if my needs change.

My experience has extremely frustrating and stressful and I would never use them again.

I was looking for a solution for solar involving a battery and 6 panels. After an initial consultation with the sales representative I agreed to go ahead with the order. There was a cavitate in that the equipment would take around 6 months to be available.

6 months came and went and I contacted Halo for an installation date. I heard nothing back for months despite repeated calling and messages. It got to the stage where I thought I had been scammed and started proceedings to see if there was a way I could get my deposit back through the bank.

2 months later I got a call from Halo wanting to do the installation. There was no apology for the lack of contact, it was brushed over. The electricians came and installed the system but left with it not working properly. They said they would be back the next day. I didn’t hear from them again for another 2 months. The electricians fixed it after having connected it up wrongly.

I was then contacted 1 day later asking for full payment.

When I stated I wouldn’t expect to pay the full amount due to losing so many months from not having the solar, I was referred to their mediation company.

The mediation company stated to me that I would have lost around £100 from the summer months and as a gesture of good will the would add £15. What an insult. The mediation company representative agreed that the communication from Halo was below the standard expected but said that when they install solar in ‘their’ house, they would be using them (how is this independent?). I was told if I didn’t pay the amount they calculated it would end up in a CCJ application by Halo.

I contacted the manufacturer of the hardware as I was concerned if the equipment would have any issue I would simply not have any support from Halo to fix it. I was asked to send images of the installation. After they reviewed it, I was told that my warranty was invalidated due to the battery being installed below the frost level and no cover placed over the inverter. I had to rectify these issues myself and hope that my battery isn’t damaged from the winter months.

Honestly the best company for renewable energy. Had solar panels and inverter fitted. From quotation to completion a pleasure .brilliant company. Recommended to all my friends and family

I used halo 5 years ago to have first lot of panels put up fantastic svs .unfortunately this is no longer the case . Just had more panels and batteries added so was quoted by 3 companies halo wasn't the cheapest ,but has I been happy before I decided on halo . Big mistake . The scafolders turned up I had to ask him not to stand on new hot tub lid . This he didn't like . All the stuff they moved to put it all up they left in a pile ,damaged plants then broke the guttering . When I booked this halo had no work and I specifically said I need a guard around the panels to stop pigeons, I was assured this could be done no problem .when they installed the guys knew nothing about it .so they agreed with me to do it ,but wouldnt be today they had another job ,not for halo . The usual price with halo £750 he would do for £600 i said no he said ill look after you £450 . The day he turned up to do it almost a week later he then said it was £ 600 . By this point I just wanted them gone paid him .scafolders then broke into my property/garden while no one home on sunday am to removed their scafolding. The electrician was supposed to come back next day to explain app lol. He never came back. This is a family run firm the scafolders and fitters are self employed .if I'd off know this I would never hire them . They way they treat people is not good and definitely not professional. But then again they are self employed so don't care about halos reputation.all in all I'm glad they have gone. Paperwork sorted out on my own . Very disappointed.

Having spent considerable time and effort in trying to understand various quotations and being completely baffled by the science, I was lucky enough to be introduced to Matt, Halo's owner. We wish that this had occurred some 3 months ago.
A simple and straight forward discussion where the requirements and our needs were clearly described to us in lay man's terms, we decided to go ahead and have our house surveyed. Halo then quickly firmed up the estimate and the actual quotation received matched it. This included for the delivery, supply and installation of 10 quality panels, 2x batteries, Invertor and all the ancillary items.
Now we don't exactly live around the corner from their head office and we thought this was going to be a problem, but it wasn't.
We were booked in by the office team. The install team (thank you guys) arrived on the agreed day at the booked time. How often does that happen in today's world?
The install was professional and completed without any fuss. It was clean and tidy, no waste or rubbish left behind and they worked through a drizzly day without complaint. They are well drilled in what they do. The mobile app was uploaded on to our mobiles and fully explained.
The next day, we received all the health and safety documentation along with our warranty, network approval confirmation and a schematic drawing . They also provided the self certication for the works and the form to send to our energy provider so that we can sell exercise stored power back to the grid.
All in all, a fantastic service from start to finish. Matt even took the time to call us to make sure we were happy. We were so pleased to confirm that we are absolutely satisfied and pleased that we chose Halo Renewables. Thanks Matt. Your whole team are superb.

Advised to contact Matt @ Halo to offer an alternative to a pushy sale quote from a large national. So glad I did! Matt is considerate to requests, very knowledgeable and offering options to my needs, now and future. When decided on options available, saved over £4k from "large national" supplier and received a vastly more capable system! Kit installed - Givenergy appears top notch. From initial request, through sales, survey and install Halo have been a pleasure to deal with. Installers were amicable, respectful to my property, even assisting with minor repairs whilst on the roof (replacing broken tiles, a job I loath!) Brad fully explained the system / app / guide post install, and on day 1, even in the rain system is working to save me money - must get tariff change for payback on export! HALO were a real pleasure to deal with, great service, good value, and above all, really helpful to a novice entering the solar arena!

I agree with the comments about staff and service during installation. It's very good. Engineers seem knowledgeable. This is new tech so it is not always working as it should. The guys do eventually get stuff fixed but you have to be persistent. They have a huge order book as they deal with the best manufacturers in the UK.

Having decided i wanted Givenergy AIO battery system for all house back up called Halo as they were on the Givenergy recomended installer list.
Mathhew called round to look at the instalation and give me recomendations, 14 panels with bird guard, Givenergy gateway, AIO, and EV charger, I Boost for water heating and Solis 6 Kw inverter. The quote he provided was competative, no hard selling, so went ahead.
On day of instal Thomas and Bradley turned up on time both realy friendly and helpful, instal was completed professionally and to my wishes regardind positioning and cable routing. Nothing was too much trouble for them, Bradley ran through all the equipment commisioning with me and explained everything fully. Everthing working well all relevant paperwork supplied in handover documents,
Would I recommend Mathhew and the team at Halo, most definitely.

Matthew was great at comms, both before and after (and during) installation. Guys made a great neat and fast job fitting the panels and were soon finished. Brad (Sparky) was super knowledgeable and communicated and showed us the app and how best to get the most out of our installation.

So we had a survey done after that we were told that it will be up to 6 weeks and I’ll documentation and will be taking care of, all our questions were answered all our questions regardless the equipment or different equipment were answered really technically to explain to us why this might not be the best option but if we want, we can proceed.
We didn’t feel pushed to do anything so that was nice around the week five installers came and installed everything quick and tidy leaving everything clean after and checking all the tiles on the roof and fixing all the ones that had crack on just in case very transparent from the phone call to sending all documentation after, when these panels are at the end of their life or if I need a new battery, I would contact hello Renewables once again very happy with the service. Battery installation and converter was after long consideration put where we want it’s nicely and out of sight so thank you very much to the electrician.
