Good explanation by Ashton about the system and everything was done on time without any fuss. The installation team was extremely professional and the process was really smooth.

I recently had a solar and battery storage system installed by Halo Renewables, and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received from start to finish.

Matthew took the time to thoroughly explain everything over the phone, answering all my questions without any pressure or sales tactics. Unlike some companies, he focused on designing a system that suited my needs rather than trying to sell me an oversized and more expensive setup.

The office team were excellent throughout the process, keeping me informed at every stage and making the whole experience smooth and stress-free.

The installation team were equally impressive. They were highly knowledgeable, professional, and clearly took pride in their work. The entire system was installed in less than a day, and the workmanship was exceptionally neat and tidy.

Overall, Halo Renewables provided outstanding customer service, excellent communication, and a first-class installation. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering solar panels and battery storage.

After obtaining several solar quotes, I chose Halo Renewables to install a system comprising 32 Aiko Neostar 2S 465W panels, a Sigenergy 8kW inverter, 18kWh of battery storage, and a Gateway. The system was designed specifically around our relatively energy-hungry household, which includes two EVs, a heat pump, and a family that seems determined to keep the National Grid on its toes.

From the initial consultation through to commissioning, the entire experience was professional, straightforward, and refreshingly free from any hard sell. Halo took the time to understand our energy usage and future requirements, designing a system that genuinely suited our needs rather than simply recommending the largest or most expensive option.

The installation team were excellent throughout. The panel layout is neat, symmetrical, and aesthetically pleasing, while the battery installation is incredibly tidy and professionally finished. They worked efficiently, minimised disruption, and left everything clean and organised once the job was complete.

What really set Halo apart was their technical expertise. Compared with some of the larger national providers I spoke to, their knowledge, attention to detail, and willingness to explain the design gave me real confidence that the system had been carefully engineered around our requirements rather than assembled from a standard template.

Since commissioning, it's been genuinely satisfying watching the house run on its own solar generation. There is also something surprisingly addictive about checking the app and seeing household demand fully covered by solar production, surplus energy exported to the grid during the day, and the batteries seamlessly powering the house through the evening peak tariff periods after sunset. I never expected electricity to become a hobby, but here we are!

The quality of the equipment is excellent, the installation looks fantastic, and, most importantly, the system has been designed to maximise value based on our usage patterns. Given our consumption levels, I am confident the investment will pay for itself in around five years.

I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Halo Renewables. They delivered expert advice, high-quality equipment, outstanding workmanship, and excellent customer service from start to finish.

We had our solar system installed by Halo Renewables Ltd on 15th June.

In the end I had about 11 quotes from different companies which may seem like a lot but once you’re on the FB they just keep popping up !

They were far from the cheapest quote I received by at least £2k and for me it was never about getting the ‘best/cheapest’ cost anyway.

I wanted a company that I felt confident in and comfortable with, they are after all working on my home that is undoubtedly the most expensive purchase I will ever make.

The communication was first class, either by WhatsApp, email or on the telephone it was always prompt and informative with no pressure to buy.

For that I have to especially thank Ashton whose patience and knowledge helped me in making the final decision and gave me what I feel was a good price.

When we had made our choice the surveyors visit was arranged in order to prepare a finalised, detailed proposal and quote, and Guy Jackson’s professionalism (the surveyor) again ensured that we felt confident in our choice of supplier.


If ever we had a question, Ashton (and sometimes Matt) would respond almost immediately every time. This was also very refreshing and went a long way towards making the project feel more personal and as important to the Halo team as it was to us!



The installation crew were great, very polite, affable, well mannered and well spoken. They worked very hard non stop and cleaned up after themselves. There was no mess, dust/ debris, no rubbish was left on site.


It took just about six hours to fit the complete system. This included 17 panels, two batteries and the inverter and it’s such a good looking piece of kit !



Once installed, they demonstrated the 'MySigen' app. It seems simple and intuitive and the demo was concise and informative.


Like most people, we (I) are finding that the app is quite addictive but so much better than doom scrolling. 

We will be on our feed in tariff before long but so far I’m loving the whole experience.

On 9th June 2026, we had a Solar system installed by Halo Renewables Ltd. Who are based in Yaxley, Peterborough.

It was very important to us to use a local company, for long term support and because we like to support local businesses wherever possible. We talked to a number of local businesses, but found Halo to be the best fit for our needs.

From the point of first contact and proposal, to deciding to go with Halo, there was no pressured sales pitch of any kind. We were simply given the information that we needed, then allowed time and space to research, look at comparable quotes and decide who we wanted to move forward with. This was refreshing to say the least!

Once we decided to go with Halo, Matt arranged for their surveyor to visit in order to prepare a finalised, detailed proposal and quote.

If ever we had a question, Matt would respond almost immediately every time. This was also very refreshing and went a long way towards making the project feel more personal and as important to the Halo team as it was to us!

We are an all electric house and already have an air to air heat pump for heating and hot water.

We decided on a 36 panel system with a capacity of 19.44kW, a 12 kW inverter and 5x sig10 batteries (45kW storage). We are in a rural location so have gone with a gateway that will cover us in the event of power cuts, and we also chose to have a wall box EV charger too.

Matt and the Team arranged for the necessary permits, certification etc. (DNO application, MCS certification) in preparation for the installation of the equipment. Still there were no sales pitches or anything else to think about, it was all arranged efficiently behind the scenes.

The installation team were fantastic, they arrived when they said they would, very polite, well mannered and well spoken. They worked very hard non stop and cleaned up after themselves. There was no mess, dust/ debris, no rubbish was left on site. The team were just brilliant.

It took just over a full day to fit the complete system.

It would have taken just the day, however, we had a couple of big thunderstorms pass over us on the day of installation and when lightning struck very close to our house… they had to come off the roof for safety.

They worked through the heavy rain!! (Despite being offered shelter!).

The second day was only 1.5hrs… to finish off bird protection and cutting rails back.

Once installed, they kindly demonstrated the 'MySigen' app... very impressive!

We are Loving the app, it’s quite addictive and has taken over from any doom scrolling on TikTok and Facebook!! 😂

We have also started to pay very close attention to the Weather and looking at the Weather app’s!!

We are waiting now for our energy provider to connect us to the 'out-going' tariff, it has taken 1 week for our electricity provider to do this… but, we go live in a couple of days!! 😊

Matt has also kindly given us the details of other useful app’s, including a 'virtual power plant' company called 'Axel' that we will be able to connect to. This is dependent upon the time it takes for our energy provider to connect us to the 'out-going' tariff… just a couple more days to wait!! 😊

Thinking about our experience with every single person we have met within the company, in person or on the phone and interactions we have had along the way (including company processes and team members behind the scenes), we can honestly say that the whole experience has been a very positive one. They have been a joy to work with.

24 East/West array, Aiko 465's, S4 mounting system, 2 sigenergy batteries/ 8kw inverter and gateway.
We had a leaking roof that was in poor condition, we decided a re roof with intergrated solar was our best all round option to obtain money back for the new roof.
After alot of solar research and a few phone calls to Matt at Halo I realised he was the guy, easy to talk to, very switched on, helpful and did not push for a sale at all.
Struggling to find a roofing company Matt agreed to take the whole job on. Just what i was looking for 1 company 1 payment.
An independent engineer came, discussed and video'd all my requirements.
Had a great service from the whole team right from the start, whatsapp contact was ace, punctual, very tidy and polite too. They all know their stuff, they made sure i was happy on every task, especially wiring.
Scaffolding up Sunday, turned up on the booked start date Wednesday, completed in 3 days, Scaffolding down on the Saturday.
All relevant paperwork sent the day after Install.
Top service from these guys, install is just how i requested it right at the start.
Since the initial connection I havent used any electricity from the grid!

Before committing to this project, I spoke to a number of the UK's leading solar and battery suppliers. Only two companies truly stood out, with Matt and Ashton from Halo Renewables being clearly ahead of the competition in terms of their technical knowledge, industry experience, honest approach and highly competitive pricing.

​When it came to the physical installation, the workmanship was exceptional. The scaffolding went up and came down on time with zero issues.

The on-site team were fantastic—they arrived promptly at 8:00 AM and worked straight through until 3:00 PM, keeping me fully informed during the entire process and leaving everything immaculate. The roofers, Thomas and Riley, did a flawless job installing 12 panels on the back roof, 3 panels on the side roof, and 3 panels on the front roof. They kept everything perfectly square and neat, and they also fitted a bird guard around the array.

Down in the garage, the electricians, Bradley, Riley and Luke, did a brilliant job setting up the complex wiring, battery stack, gateway, and the 7kW EV charger. It is an incredibly neat job with minimal wiring visible, as they hid the cables perfectly from the roof and on the actual stack itself.

I genuinely cannot fault the installation crew at all. The Aiko panels are performing incredibly well, and the SigenStor battery stack is a flawless piece of engineering that is already maxing out our 4kW export limit during peak sun hours with next to nothing being drawn from the Grid since installation.

A couple of project management issues surfaced when trying to finalise the project. There was a localised stock shortage with the 7kW tethered EV charger. While I understand supply chain issues happen, I wasn't made aware of this delay until the team arrived on the installation day and we ultimately agreed on an untethered unit to get the job done after chasing. Furthermore, there was an unexpected £183.60 National Grid DNO transfer fee that should've been factored into the original quotes, which I had to pay out of pocket at the final hurdle to avoid further paperwork delays.

Having said that I am incredibly happy with the final working system and want to give massive credit to Thomas, Riley, Bradley, Riley and Luke for their exceptional work and professionalism on the install, as well as Matt and Ashton for their ongoing support and guidance.

Halo Renewables were truly BEST IN CLASS for their premium products and service, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to go solar. My only advice to future customers is to stay on top of the administrative detail, handovers and paperwork timelines (MCS/G99) at the very end. From my experience, if Halo sharpens up their project management, they'll easily beat the competition hands down everytime.

From the outset Halo offered a flexible and comprehensive service with the most up to date technology and competitive pricing. Ashton was happy to indulge our desire for trying different setups to find the best combination. Then the fitting team of Riley,Riley and Luke were prompt, polite and very efficient, getting everything installed by early afternoon.

From the outset, Matt and his team made the whole process easy.
A quick and easy telephone survey was completed and then a very thorough proposal came through. This was followed by an in depth survey at my property to make sure everything could be installed as expected. During the survey, we actually found an easier installation route, so very worthwhile.
The team installed all the kit on my house roof, garage roof, plus inverter and battery in the space of one day. They were extremely nice lads and a credit to the company. My back garden was left exactly as they found it, and the scaffolding was taken down the day after.
All in all, it couldn't have gone any better.

I had two stacks of SigEnergy batteries installed today and have to say, the chaps were brilliant.

As it was a bigger install they sent Bradley, Luke & Riley - all very nice and respectful lads (although for his own sake, Riley needs to remember to wear a hat on hot days like today!!!!!).

All the chaps knew their stuff, gave me a full handover, were really approachable and nice.

Obviously can't comment on after sales, but based on how the sales process and then installation has been, I'm expecting no problems. Matt has been brilliant throughout and his team are a credit to him.

Called Halo Renewables, after getting several quotes, for a Sigenergy install comprising of two batteries and 6KW inverter. Spoke to Matt, who impressed me with his knowledge, and can do attitude. He provided me with a very competitive quote, and the system was superbly installed by James within 3 weeks of initial contact.
